I'm too tired to turn off the computer and go to bed

LOL, yep, you read right...

I'm just too tired to turn off the computer and go to bed...

Does anyone have any ideas...???

Has (or does) anyone else felt (feel) like this???

I guess I could just turn off the computer, but that consists of... exiting firefox, closing my internet connection, pressing start, ugh... it goes on and on lol, easier at the moment to stay online, lol

Erailea 10-21-2009 03:07 PM

just leave your computer on and go to bed. I tend to just turn off my monitors then turn in XP

laniparis 10-21-2009 03:09 PM

lol, I would but, my dad's a total energy freak, lol... not the save the environment kind, the OMG, wasting money kind, lol... Half the time if I'm reading/watching tv he comes in and turns it all off, lol

*Thoughtful Quill* 10-21-2009 04:08 PM

OMG I will seriously stay on the computer until 2 AM some nights..... when I know I really shouldn't, and then I don't want to get up in the morning.

It's a vicious cycle, lol.

And I don't bother shutting off my computer. I just close out stuff and go to bed.

But I guess staying up like that is actually really bad for you, so I hope you did end up shutting it off and going to bed!!!

............................. I might have actually run out of things to say...... wow.....

Mithelia 10-21-2009 04:14 PM

I know exactly how you feel haha. I've been going to school like half dead, because I'm always on the computer..... -_-'

SamuraiPanda 10-21-2009 06:13 PM

You know you don't have to shut everything down when shutting down your pc. You can just go click shut down, and as long as there isn't anything that needs to be saved your pc should close all the programs and shut down :).

amulet 10-21-2009 06:43 PM

i do this sometimes but more because internet is more interesting than sleeping...

Metatron 10-21-2009 07:09 PM

I know exactly how you feel!

Sometimes you just have to give yourself a bedtime. Not matter what your doing, just stop and go to sleep right away. You might toss and turn for the first night, but soon your body will get used it.

I know what you mean i have been to lazy to turn off my laptop i really need to start turning it off when i go to bed but I am like on it so much i get to tired to turn it off. Ugh -,- Plus I am getting somewhat addicted to Menewsha. I just love playing the arcade games and chatting lolz.

Moogle 10-22-2009 12:08 PM

Eh...I've never felt like that.

I've had my moments where I'm like, "Man I should go to bed, but I don't want to."

But never have I felt tired to the point where I don't want to get off because I don't want to shut it down.
>>

You should get some rest though. Trust and believe that little effort it takes to get off the computer will feel so good when you hit the bed.
:]

I know what you mean. I've had times when I just could not bring myself to stop playing my games or whatever.

Personally, I would turn off the computer and brew a mug of tea. The tea helps me get to sleep.

As for the saving money for electricity, is the computer a laptop or desktop? If you must have the computer on, perhaps you could have it do something useful, like a virus scan or a defrag, and keep its window open for your dad to see if he comes in.

Chibi_Tortuga 10-23-2009 01:54 AM

I never got that feeling before. I just get the 'I'm tired but don't feel like going to bed' feeling. x3

&& I say you should totally dance like a maniac and then fall to the floor...erm bed! O:

laniparis 10-23-2009 02:28 AM

lol

Thanks everyone... BTW, I did end up turning off the computer and going to bed, and in my dreams I danced like a crazy maniac, lol... *random*

Thanks for all the advice though, you guys rock

Ebony Mist 10-23-2009 08:22 AM

Well... for me, its not too hard. I usually keep the computer on all night for music and I'm currently in my bed...

But yeah, hun... just turn it off and go to bed. It's not healthy to just sit there, feeling extremely worn out.

laniparis 10-23-2009 08:51 AM

Yeah you're right it's not healthy, yet I tend to always end up like that, lol

Leenalia 10-23-2009 09:53 AM

Do the easy thing: ALT+F4.

Then press it twice and Enter twice, and your computer shuts off.

xoSarahBellaxo 10-23-2009 09:55 AM

@Leenalia oh wow i never knew that could turn off your computer.

laniparis 10-23-2009 02:00 PM

Neither did I, wow... all I know is how to get onto the internet and play games, which is an extremely valuable talent thank you very much, lol

xoSarahBellaxo 10-23-2009 02:14 PM

KittyMint 10-25-2009 04:28 AM

Just leave it on, who cares? Maybe but your parents.

Kidd 10-30-2009 06:31 AM

Just put your computer to sleep and you'll sleep too.

deweyduquesne 11-05-2009 07:07 AM

lol if u have a laptop, just keep it connected to the adapter and close it and let it hibernate. if u have a desktop, just turn on the monitor lol

pianochan 11-05-2009 07:13 AM

Using a PC is an very mentally activating way to spend your time. Try just turning off the monitor and sitting in the dark for a few moments.
