"Sounds good." Ember said standing up and wrapping Felicity in a blanket. "Where are they?" She asked holding the baby against her chest.
|
last i saw, they were out near where everyone was working on the trucks.gemini said she wanted to talk to eli.i wonder if she's gotten to it yet... he stood with her and led her out to where he last saw gemini.

Ember followed gently patting Felicity while she slept. She noticed how she had already gown a few inches in the last few hours.

Cat followed the trail all the way out of the mall again. She knew the trail she was following was of more than one human but she couldn't be sure exactly how many straight away as she hadn't been a werewolf long enough to get used to and train her enhanced senses. She'd only been this creature for a few moons. At least she had been like this long enough to know the basics of how to deal with her condition, especially around full moons. She knew to get away from people a day before it and securely lock herself up somewhere where her uncontrollable wolf form could not escape as it didn't have the intellignece to open bolted doors. She knew to store spare clothes in a safe place outside where she contained her wolf form, and she knew to fill the room where she stayed with meat so its temper would not be so great.
She thought perhaps there were three humans after a while of studying the trail. She couldn't yet tell genders by scent. She knew one must be injured because every now and then there would be a little blood. When she came upon these, she took a plastic bag that she had found and put it on her hand like a glove. Next she'd use it to pick up nearby feral dog faeces and smear it across the blood, to confuse any vampires that might come across the trail. If she were allowed to stay with these people she would have to do a lot to make them trust her so she might as well start now. Luckily she didn't look like a wolf normally. However the back of her eyes would flash an iridescent green whenever a bright light such as a torch was shone on them, like a cat's or dog's eyes. As Cat debated whether she would tell the humans what she was to gain their trust, or hide what she was, she travelled along streets in the city. The scent was stronger here. She peeled the bag off her and by a clean bit and shoved it in a bin. Not far now... |
((morning. quite an interesting turn of events.))
I sat down and waited for Gemini to tell me what she needed. |
((Yeah, I would definitely draw your character. Actually, I would've liked to drawn all the characters, but no one seemed really interested in the art. But I'll do yours. PM me a description or an image that resembles Felix, and what pose he should have and what not.))
At last, Kyoshi had returned to share the news of the hybrid's capture. I stormed down the hallways toward where the hybrid was being kept, my crimson braid swinging violently behind and my face as cold and hard as stone. But inside, I was as giddy as a schoolgirl. This person could be a potent discovery to sustain the viruses, and give power to my legion. Ah, I could already smell the sweet fragrance of bloodshed. It was a promising dream, but I knew that I couldn't allow my little fantasies to blind me from reality. I must stay focus on the here and now; the bloodshed would have to wait. We approached the lycans that were guarding the entrance, who pulled back the doors and stepped away. A choir of screeches and yowls rang out from the inumerous caged infections as we passed by. The majority of them were human, but several were animal, and a few even mutations between the two. I walked through quickly, for the screams were like balls that ricocheted off the walls and bashed against my head. I kept my wits, although I wanted to join the cries. We proceeded through the extended room to the back door, where the 'special' experiments were located. Kyoshi opened the door and stepped in. As my highest adviser, everyone knew what this meant and cowered away from her. As soon as everyone was against the wall and every face on the ground, I entered into the room. My chest swelled with pride as I looked upon each and every downcast head. Even the disoriented zombies were fearful. I was so majestic in their eyes, it overwhelmed me... My eyes settled upon the one on display... the hybrid. I smiled kindly at him, but frowned upon his scathed body. How dare they... "What is this?" I asked, my voice laced with anger as I circled around the hybrid. "What did you people do to him?" I glowered upon each face, and especially the head lycan (Simon), who was even in wolf form. I beckoned him here. Before he could even move, Kyoshi grasped him by the fur and threw him down before me as if he were nothing but a puppy. I took my foot and placed it on top of his bowed head, pushing it into the ground gradually. "Do I have to remind you where we are?" I asked, menacingly. "Kyoshi." She stood at ease and stated, "In the sanctuary, Lord Donovan." "Indeed," I said, finally lifting up my foot. "We are in the sanctuary, and we do not assault someone as significant as this." My eyes narrowed and I said, "You, sir..." Kyoshi grabbed the man by the hair again as I added, "are a failure." She unsheathed her dagger and plunged it into the lycan's neck. I turned away and stared at the hybrid with saddened eyes. "My deepest, deepest apologies, sir," I said as I approached him slowly. "I never, ever allow such things as this to happen to anyone, especially to someone as special as you. Some people just don't seem to grasp that..." I gave him a bow of my head and said, "Greetings, dear friend, I am Donovan. Now, I completely understand why you would be upset. I am as well. Truly I tell you, I will release you, that's a promise, but I would like to ask you a few questions first." I lowered myself to my knee and said, "It is so rare that we find someone as unique as you. I feel truly honored for this opportunity. Now..." Closing my eyes, I exhaled once and then opened them. "My question is... how did you become what you are? Feel free not to answer, I will not harm you, but I am just curious..." |
((lol,i love those pictures,bloodyblade.))
i sat across from eli and drew a breath.:i was wondering when we're leaving.i need to have preperations ready in case i have this baby on the road.i also need to know if there is anything i can do to help.to be qyite honest,i cant stand just sitting around doing nothing.it drives me insane!" i spoke the last part with slight desperation.i sensed kaleb approaching with ember.i hoped eli would answer quickly, because once he got here,he would have to have his two cents. |
(Thank you... Should I call you Cyrus or Bloody Blade? Either or, thank you! It seems like you hate me Gemini, at least in the forum lolz!)
"To be quite frank, I dont believe you'll actually let me go. As soon as I tell you, I will die. It's the truth. Though, thank you for killinging Sim- that other werewolf. So your the leader here? Do your minions realize your human? Oh well... I guess I'll tell you... It wasnt really hard or anything... all I did was bite a zombie. Its DNA mixed with mine, and we became one. I'm surprised others havent figured it out by now... perhaps I'm lucky and only a few survive the prossess... Thank you for actually being kind to me! I take it your going to kill me now. See ya in hell..." I bet he bought it. He probably thinks I wish I'm dead. Im going to try to capture him and hold him hostage when he frees me to kill me... I'll bring him back to camp... maybe it'll work... if not, I'm dead anyways! Ember... I think I'm dead... either that or I have their leader... If I die, his name is Donovan... He is HUMAN. YOu can kill him if you get past his gaurd... take care love... keep my hat with you. |
I heard Felix and almost fell to her knees with the baby still in my arms. "He just told me he might be dead. If he does die the guy who has him, his name is Donovan, We need to hurry." I said trying to keep my knees from buckleing. I remembered the hat that I stuffed between the sheets of the bed in the Medical tent. I would go back and get it, and wear it while I killed Donovan.
|
I nod once Gemini finished and hold my hand up to stop Ember and Kaleb for a moment.
"We leave in the morning for the ghost-town I found. I picked out an abandoned hotel for us to live in. It should only take a day to get there with all the trucks. Once we get situated then I think we should start looking for Felix." I look up at Kaleb and Ember and motion for them to join us. "Ember, I'm sorry but I don't trust James so I don't want him comming with us. I hope you understand..." |
"I know. James was the one who ordered those zombies to kidnap Felix, he could jump off a cliff for all I care." Ember said wishing there was a crib where she could lay down Felicity as she was beginning to hurt her arm, already she looked to be about the size of a four month old.
|
My eyes flash from bright blue to icy blue again as I try to control my temper.
"I should have killed him when I had the chance. I knew he was bad news." I hissed. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm myself before I opened them again. "Do you want me to hold Felicity for you? You look exhausted." I ask Ember, offering my arms out for the baby. |
"Could you please? I thought she was going to be a normal baby, but look at her, she's already the size of a four month old, and she eats all my milk in one sitting." I sighed handing felicity over and collapsing into a chair. She was right I was exhusted, but I couldn't rest until I knew felix was safe. "We need to find him." I said trying to get back up but unable to.
|
I cradle Felicity in my arms.
"You need to rest, we all do. We will be leaving in the morning for a permanant home." I smile a little. We all needed a real roof over our heads and real beds to sleep in for once. "After we get moved we will all go look for Felix. And I would like to find Leon and Elsa after that." I added. I thought about Elsa. She and Leon had been gone for so long and I often wondered if they were still alive. I was sure they must be. Leon was strong and he would never let anything happen to Elsa. I thought about how things would have been if they were still here. I could see Elsa playing with the baby and Leon sitting off by himself trying to act cool, keeping an eye on Elsa. I missed them. |
I closed my eyes and sighed. She was right, it would be nice to sleep in a real bed not a cot on the floor. I was worried for Felix, but I needed to care about myself for a little bit.
|
I held Felicity for a while longer before I put her in one of the beds back in the tent, then I carried Ember in and put her in a bed of her own.
I grabbed a blanket and went into Ken's office and curled up beside him. As usual, the guards didn't say anything or try to stop me on my way in. I tryed to close my eyes and go to sleep but it didn't seem to want to find me tonight. I got up, kissed Ken on the forhead, and went outside. The stars were shining brightly so I sat against the side of the tent and watched them for a little while and then drifted off to sleep. That night I had a dream. I hadn't dreamt since I had been infected and this dream was extremely vivid. We were all together; Ember and Felix, Felicity, Gemini and Kaleb and their child, Leon, Elsa, Ken, and myself. There was also one more there with us but I couldn't make out anything about them. The doctors and researchers had just discovered a cure for the infection but had yet to test it out on changed humans. I offered to take a dose and become their test subject but the doctors weren't entirely sure if the cure was completely safe. After much arguing with everybody about it I took a dose. My body hurt and my head felt like it was on fire. That was when my dream ended and I woke up sweating. |

I got up in the middle of the night and checked on Felicity, she was asleep, and now half the size she was before. I decided I would take her to the scientist to see if she was okay. But for now I wanted to go for a walk. I stepped out into the darkness and sighed. I worried about Felix, I hadn't heard from him in awhile.
I'm awake, are you still breathing? I asked him afraid I wouldn't get an answer. I kept walking and almost tripped over Eli. She was awake and wide eyes. "Are you okay?" I asked knelling down next to her and wiping some sweat off her face. |
I nod my head slowly and sigh.
"I just had a dream. That's all" I told Ember when she asks me if I'm alright. I kept thinking about what it meant. Especially the end. What would have happened if i hadn't woken up? |
((Doesn't matter. You can still call me Cyraus on here. Just make sure your PM me with that description.))
I had to struggle to keep my face vacant of any emotion. He knows that I am human. Even though I knew that my associates wouldn't believe the hybrid, I was still quite anxious. I hid my dread with a smile and let out a slow, deep laugh. I raised myself from the floor and replied, "Ah, so that's how. We attempted to do this with some of our experiments, but they just ended up killing each other." I chuckled again for a moment and went on, "No, dear friend, I shall not kill you. Now what good would that be than just a mess on the floor? No, no, no. I promised that I would release you, and I intend to. Taking a sample of your blood is unnecessary since it's all over the floor and my minions." I shook my head. "So that is all I need. Thank you very much for your time." I turned to my adviser and said, "Kyoshi, would you please escort this man out?" Usually, this would mean to kill the subject, but I didn't have a trace of a smile on my lips so she knew that I meant to free him unharmed. Kyoshi gently lifted the hybrid to his feet and lead him out of the room. I followed behind, to make sure that nothing would harm him any more than he had been already. We made it to the exit of my mansion and I gave the hybrid one last bow of the head. "Thank you very much," I said, the edges of my lips raised just a tinge. "And, once again, I apologize for the harshness of the apprehension. It was never an intention on torturing you. I hope that I can repay you by setting you free." Kyoshi opened up one of the doors and indicated the exit to the hybrid. I turned away and headed back toward my dorm. |
(Okay... i'll call you Cyrus)
Surprisingly, Donovan let me go. He didnt even kill me! Ember, its okay... they let me go... ALIVE! stay put, I'll come back if you want... I seem to be in some sort of infection spot, so itll take awhile.. ill give you updates "Bye Donnovan! I'll come back ifyou want!" I knew he wouldnt want me back, but I offered anyways. ANd like a close friend too, to piss of his army. I started to head back in the general direction of camp, but enemies got in my way. I disposed of them easily! |
Oh thank god. Hurry! I yelled in my head to him. I turned to Eli. "Felix is on his way back to camp!" I yelled. I ran back to the medical tent and grabbed his fedora. I put it on then went and sat next to the baby waiting for him.
