ONE PIECE
Have been reading the manga "One Piece" and its amazing. Started reading it maybe a week ago and I (reading it right now) have just reached chapter 121. And yes I have one of those little crushes on Monkey. D. Luffy. God dammit he has a fine bod....*droll* :)

I'm not very far along in the manga or anime for One Piece but what I've seen and read of it is awesome. Very original story, characters and art style. I also like how consistent the characters look, I just hope it stays that consistent as I read more.

The mangaka is awesome, I love how original many of his stories are. :) And love he brings back many of the old characters too, and the mini-stories going on in the covers, etc... |

Well, if you're only at around chapter 120+, then you won't have seen them yet, they appeared only at around chapter 500. xD |

Honestly, I think this manga is going to outlive a huge majority of the fan base, lol. One Piece is one of my favorite manga's though.

It's always gaining new fans though. One thing I like about it is how broad its fanbase is. At the theme park where they were doing a special exhibit of One Piece stuff, I saw people of all ages fangasming over it. (or, er, as much as kid under age 10 could fangasm, anyway) |
It would be disappointing if the story has an abrupt end due to Oda not being able to continue for whatever reason.

I'd have to say that I like One Piece because it's fun. It never takes itself too seriously; each character has a story, some of which can be quite engaging and dramatic, with each being wrapped up with comedy and themes of strength and optimism. It's an action series that makes you laugh, cry, and cheer right along with the crew - and that's something that not every series can say.
Sanji is my favorite character! Hands down. I love the way he dresses, his rolled up cigs he smokes, the fact that his weapons are his feet. Such a classic character. Always willing to protect the ladies, goes out of his way for them, I could go on forever. |
Yeah, I definitely like how every character has their backstory, and the mini stories on the cover of each chapter's also creative, and it let's you know what's going on with the other more minor characters too while the chapter focuses on the Strawhats. [:)] |

The person who made the poll wasn't me, and I don't think Law was quite as well known back then, and the person who made the poll probably wasn't too interested in Robin (judging by how Crocodile's name is on there, I'm guessing that the person was only at around the Alabasta arc and Robin was technically still one of the bad guys at that point). [XD] I had merged the other thread with this one back then, so the poll ended up being here too. |
