I love Japanese fashion, especially lolita. I bounced around different cultures and cliques in high school and loved a lot of different fashions but I could never really find what really caught my eye. Until I saw lolita. While it is a bit too much for me and especially because it is abnormal and taboo to others because of the area I live in (Georgia. the bible belt of the south would have a heart attack) I do love casual lolita as well as clothes that have a touch of lolita flair. I love the cute dresses and rah-rah skirts with lace trims. Button down shirts with maybe a frilled collar. I also lovvve the hairbows. I dress a bit tomboyish now (this is because I am lazy and have no job to afford such nice clothes xD) but in the future I would love to incorporate more cute fashions into my wardrobe.
Some examples of cute things I love... http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...itafashion.jpg http://www.fanplusfriend.com/catalog/DR00035_01.jpg http://www.carmenyuen.com/blog/blogpics/080506_bow1.jpg Oh and btw, I love the skirt. and the hat! |

flouncy lacy skirts are my fave article of clothing^^

I call myself a Lolita because almost all I wear is Lolita dresses that I have bought from Japan, haha. Although my favorite style of clothing is Chinese, but I don't own any Chinese dresses, unfortunently... ^^;

I really like lolita too! I adore sweet lolita and elegant gothic lolita. I even own a few magazines called 'Gothic & Lolita Bible.' I was so thrilled to find an English version of that magazine at Borders!
Unfortunately I do not own any lolita dresses, so far I just have accessories, like headbands and one pair of shoes that lends towards gothic lolita. I have been lurking around on an online store called "In the Starlight" ...but, I am a bit timid to purchase something. The lolita store called "Baby, the Star Shines Bright" now has a shop in San Fransisco! I was like, no way! I can't wait to go back to California to visit my folks---I want to check out the store so badly! |

@ Roiya: Maybe on some special occasions I can go for the full effect. x3 @ Sprinklebuns: OMG I love In the Starlight! I almost bought this dress about a year ago, but when I showed these fashions to my dad, he did not like them at all very much and it discouraged me. I remember when their dresses used to be about half the price it is now. Must be the awful economy. http://www.inthestarlight.com/jsks/classicjsk_01.jpg That is the dress I almost got. Still want it. @ koneko of the nekos: Yes I MUST have this dress or something like it! |
Lol, I like how you took a pic using your DSi. XD I think Asian fashion is super cute, especially Korean fashion. x) But I don't think I could get away with wearing it over here because the trends are very different, and no one really wears such cute stuff over here. Also, I'm not Asian enough.

I ADORE asian fashion. They're all either so elegant, or so kooky and outrageous, or just plain CUTE! Love love love it!
I wish I owned some lolita dresses.. I have one that is kinda like them. I love it.. |
Aww, you look so cuuuute! n_n
I like sweet lolita. I've been into Lolita for a while, I've only recently started wearing it though. It's so fun and cute. Plus, don't you just feel a million times girlier wearing ruffles, lace and bows? I know I do. |
That's cute in all but i could never wear it..im too big..3x (22/24).
I highly doubt they have casual Lolita plus sizes for my size :\ |
I would not like to wear the uber girly ruffles and lace, But I love read"LLOOVVVEEE" to see the cute girls wearing it. If I was still in high school I would likely wear such things. Now they would look silly and lame. I also would not like having so much clutter on my person. I tend to wear long dressed that are loose and shapeless.

Lolita love! :3
http://www.milanoo.com/wholesale-Lolita-Clothing-c634 Best site I've found so far for Lolita dresses. |
They also have bigger sizes, I believe.
And I'm the furthest from Asian and I still wear loli clothing now and then... I'm predominantly Irish/Polish. |
I like them. There's something a bit exotic and cultural about them.
|
I love looking at all the different Lolita fashions people put together, but I myself couldn't see myself wearing them. I'm too ugly to dress up all cute.
Guro-Lolita is amazing, though. http://static.diary.ru/userdir/3/7/9...2/20237870.jpg http://media.photobucket.com/image/g.../guro_live.jpg http://img250.imageshack.us/img250/6...aye8br1fv0.jpg |

I like the really crazy outfits that I guess are considered "Harajuku." (Forgive me, I really don't know anything about fashion terminology.) http://www.flickr.com/photos/krawallmaedchen/363459834/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ajpscs/136296236/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ajpscs/...n/photostream/ It just amazes me how many things these girls can wear and still look so adorable. |
I love a lot of Asian clothing. I just can't afford it XD so I figure I can just make my own clothes *nods*
|
This is an asian outfit I bought recently at second hand store. I absolutely love it.

Thanks. The set was $12. I also have another piece with an asian style print that I'll try getting images of eventually. Its a deep purple robe with a gold trimmed cranes one it.
|
No, I'm not a fan.
I find it all costume-y and a bit cliché. Asians don't dress like that all the time. |

I only saw 2 ladies in Lolita outfits while I was over there. Most of what I saw were business style outfits save at night near the clubs where one could see about what one might see over here. But, over all I have to say the women I saw in Tokyo were always "dressed up" by the standards I have seen in the US. I really doult I saw more then 20 t-shirts in a week over there. And that is a city over about 12 million. The hot thing I saw alot of was stockings with short-shorts. Mostly with major color differences like Black shockings and White shorts for example. I personally love the look of Lolita. So cute and pretty :) |
