It's A War Between Races-Private RP
It was a once in a lifetime experience, a war between races. Elves against Shapeshifters, both with their own strength's and weaknesses. It seemed to go on forever. Many lives lost and a great number wounded. It was back in the 1900's when it began, when an elf accidentally shot a shapeshifter in the heart, who was supposedly the new heir to the throne. Of course, battle had erupted, but it was just an accident, as the elf thought it was a bird. Could anyone stop this war?
Amelia, preferred to be called as Amy, with her dragon sat ontop of a sturdy branch of a maple tree, with her bow and quiver of arrows laying on the far edge of the branch. Her dragon, Blaze was trying to amuse her with his pretty flips and turns and creative smokes he blew from his mouth, when she heard something crunch and blow beneath her. |
Czarnia sat silently, listening intently to the sounds around her. Her eyes shifting and taking in each movement other than her own. Then she heard it, a light crack of a branch, a shuffle of leaves. She'd been waiting for this and spotted it. The rabbit who she'd been tracking for hours -that had escaped only because of her paranoia- was moving just below a tree in the distance. She smirked and stealthily padded her way silently down the forested hill.
She was in one of her favorite forms, a wolf. Her sleek coat was a sheer shining white, save fore her tips-her muzzle, paws, ear tips, and the end of her tail were all an odd dark grey that almost looked blue in the moonlight. Her eyes, were her own odd ones though. The right saphire blue, the left emerald green. Czarnia was a young shapeshifter, sent out as a scout. But she never understood why the war started. Why couldn't someone simply appologize and let it be over. But it couldn't be that simple now, not after so many lives had been taken. |
Amy saw it, a rabbit looking startled from something that must of tried to kill it. She might as well use this oppurtunity to shoot it and have lunch with Blaze.
"What do you think, Blaze? Rabbit for lunch?" Amy asked her tiny dragon. "Yeah, sure!" Blaze said, twinkles in his eyes. She knew Blaze wanted to hunt on the rabbit. "I'll do the killing, today." Amy quickly said before Blaze dove frm the branches and killed the rabbit in a single bite. He seemed rather sad to let Amy do the job. She pushed her short blond hair out of her eyes and took her bow to aim. Suddenly, she saw the rabbit's predator, who was stalking it and possible, was about to steal her lunch: a wolf. |
Czarnia Stopped, pricking her ears she looked up straight through the branches. Her keen eyes fixed on...was it? Yes. It was an elf. A wolfish grin spread across her face before she shifted into her humanoid form. Her fur changing to white hair, the tips the same deep blue-grey. Her outfit simple; what looked to be a simple leather skirt, a white tunic, beneath a white cloak. "Were you aiming to take that rabbit?" She called from the ground, pacing forward slowly, startling the rabbit away. Her tone wasn't that of menace though, she seemed to be asking a simple question. "And what's that with you?" She could see something with the elf, but couldn't quite tell what it was.
((Ack...sorry it's short....my stomach is fussing at me to eat something.)) |
((OOC: It's okay, I had to eat as well xD))
Amy froze. It was a shapeshifter, plain and simple. She was quite beautiful, even she could say. She asked two simple questions, but why was it so hard to answer them? Because she was a shapeshifter and they might have a mini fight right there? Well, she had to say something. "What do you want?" Amy gritted, still pointing the arrow at where the rabbit stood, now gone through the commotion. "And yes, it was my lunch, but now, you have disturbed me." Blaze crawled closer to Amy to see what was happening. He saw the shapeshifter and blew out a smoke bubble. He spelt out enemy. |
"Well that's rude..." Czarnia's eyes glittered with laughter. "Are you afraid of me?" She tilted her heard to the side. It must have looked awkward though, her having to look up as it was. "And I've been tracking that rabbit for a while. So it is you who disturbed me." A smile flickered over her lips as she realized what was with the elf. A small dragon. "Is he your pet?"
Czarnia was always much too curious for her own good. She leaped, shifting midair into the form of the little dragon, mimicing it. This was new to her. She shifted again into that of a snowy owl, soaring up then perching on a branch on the elf's level before shifting back to her humanoid shape again. She was crouched, knees bent, perched almost like a cat. "Well...are you going to answer?" She demanded with a soft laugh. |
"I will never be afraid of a shapeshifter!" Amy yelled and followed the girl, then the dragon then the owl, then back to the girl with her arrow. She was about to pull back and shoot, but something stopped her. She could'nt kill someone, it wasn't in her nature to kill someone, let alone an enemy. "I really don't care what you were tracking. I've been up her for hours, looking for something to eat for me and Blaze. Now, please leave me in peace, or I will force myself to shoot you." She slowly pulled back, shaking at every inch of a pull.
"I am her guardian, not her pet." Blaze cut in, looking at the shapeshifter with icy blue eyes. He knew Amy would kill him if he said too much. He thought it would be an oppurtunity to make friends and finally end this war. It was worth a shot. "I am Blaze. What are you called?" Blaze asked, ignoring Amy's glare. |
((Sory for the delay. Just got a call back from Micheals. I have a job. Uber excited. Once more...sorry for the delay. ^-^ XD ))
Czarnia titled her head to one side again, smiling despite the fact that an arrow was aimed straight at her. Being somewhat of an animal she could sense the girl's hesitance and was unafraid. She half snickered at the dragon. "You're a guardian? Hm..." She seemed to think for a moment then stood, carefully balanced on the branch and poised herself in a light bow after a moment. "My name is Czarnia. Nice to meet you Blaze...and who is your...er....Guardee?" She was talking directly to the dragon now, but keeping an eye on the girl. |
Amy sighed, lowered her bow and answered before Blaze could.
"I am Amy, elf archer. Never miss at what I aim at." She projected her voice loud enough so Czarnia and possibly any other creature could hear her. "It's true, it was a gift from her mother, a sorcerer." Blaze added. "Hush, Blaze! Do not reveal too much." Amy spoke to Blaze, yet kept her eyes on the shapeshifter, who smiled way too much, she thought. "You never know with these, shapeshifters, either man or beast." Suddenly, the rabbit both of the girls were going to kill. Quickly, she took her bow aim off of Czarnia and onto the rabbit below them. With a quick pull, she let go of the arrow and shot straight at the rabbit's back. It fell down, steam coming out of the arrow. As if on cue, Blaze swooped down, took the rabbit between his teeth and took back to the branch they were on. Amy was sure both of them could could see her wide grin. ((Its okay, and congrast ^^ Hope you have fun.)) |
((Hey, I can only be on for a moment right now. Got scedueled at work for the next three days so I may not be able to reply very often right now. I will, however reply as I can. ^-^" ))
|
((Alrighty))
|
((La la la la la la la :P))
|
((sorry...been working five days straight. Unable to get on. Have tomorrow off though. ^-^))
Czarnia snickered and shook her head at elf showing off her skills. "Elves aren't the only one's skilled in accuracy..." She said simply, not warningly, "You are quite skilled though..." She stood slowly, keeping her balance with ease. "And I'm neither man nor beast." She said this simply too, but seemed to think the elf would understand on her own. "I could set up a fire and a small spit for you to cook that on if you like...but only if you share." Snickering, she dropped down to the ground without waiting for an answer. |
Amy was about to jump down and run off with Blaze as well, but Czarnia's words stopped her. She was capable of making a fire, but not a very big one and not a very lasting one. Maybe this was an oppurtunity to learn. She sighed and was about to stay on top of the tree until the shapeshifter left, until Blaze opened his big mouth, again.
"That'd be great, since Amy isn't very good at getting kindling." He blurted out. Blaze looked at Amy and practically jumped when he saw the I'm-gonna-kill-you-right-now-if-you-don't-shut-the-hell-up look at him, finishing her face with a death glare. Blaze went silent and let Amy do the talking for once. "If you don't tell your friends about my village, then we have a deal." Amy jumped down and went south. She looked back at her acquatance. "Are you coming?" She asked with an edge. It wasn't her fault she was pissed, she was just mean at heart. She also just didn't want to cope with war crap right now. ((It's ok ^_^ and I'm glad you're having fun)) |
"I was talking about right here...or...where there's a bit better clearing anyway" Czarnia stated simply, emerging from the underbrush with her arms full for small branches. "And who would I tell? This war seems rediculous to me personally..." She paused and looked about for a moment. "There is a freshwater spring due west of here...and a pleasant little clearing near it if you would still like me to make that spit and fire for you..." Czarnia turned back to Amy and raised a brow, smiling lightly. "If not I'll head off on my own...let you keep the silly little rabbit there....find the deer I've been scenting for miles instead..." Shrugging, Czarnia turned to her left and headed into the forest again.
|
Amy sighed. "Alright, you can stay. I'm horrible at kindling. And i'm sick of this stupid war as well." She came back to Czarnia. Blaze was already near her, as if he already knew Amy's answer.
"Alright, due west you said? I'll get the water." Amy went west into the forest and to the river. She heard wings flapping behind her. "No, stay with Czarnia. I can do it myself." "But, I am your guardian for life." Blaze seemed hurt. He was always so emotional when he was left behind. Something about his younger life before he was Amy's guardian made him thi way. Amy reminded herself she needed to ask Blaze about that later. Amy strode off, bow and quiver of arrows strapped on her back. A couple of strides later, she found the stream Czarnia was talking about. Out of her bag, she found a canteen, empty. She used it for water. It was a pretty big canteen, big enough for her and Czarnia and Blaze's tiny mouth. She filled the canteen to the brim and quickly closed it so no water could escape. Amy decided to taste some of the water. It felt cool in her hands and in her mouth. It was refreshing, probably due to her very hungry stomache. She was just about to leave when something caught her eye. No, not another rabbit, but something bigger. So big, in fact, it was a bear. A big, hungry one at that. |
Czarnia shook her head lightly and began setting up the fire. Carefully stacking the kindling in a tee pee form. she then shifts into the form of a fox, but it was no normal fox. Its fur appeared to be of fire, its sleek body the deep fiery red smaller flames, but it's bushy tail the great oranges and yellows; the only parts of her that didn't seem to be made of flame was her black eyes that looked like charcoal, and her new, much the same. Curling herself around the firewood, it began to burn, she lay there but a moment before trotting away slightly and shifting back into her usual form.
She shrugged and half thought aloud. "Not the traditional way...but it was easier....quicker." As the fire picked up a bit she added larger loggs then surrounded the fire area with large rocks. Next she collected some more wood, but this was more green so it wouldn't burn as easy as she set up the spit for the rabbit. As she finished this she sensed something dangerous and perked her ears. She sniffed the air lightly. "Oh no...." She breathed and took off toward the scent of Amy, mixed with the scent of a bear, she recognized the scent. |
Amy froze. She could usually kill animals, but not when they wanted to kill her as well. The bear had red eyes and bracelets on its paws. It's a shapeshifter Amy thought, reaching for her arrows.
"No use reaching for ammo, my dear." The bear said, smiling a deadly smile. "Leave me alone!" Amy yelled at the bear, who was now at his hind legs. "I'm a warrior, it's my duty to kill elves like you." The bear changed into a red lion, mane bursting with fire. Amy knew this would be her end if she didn't do anything. And if she died, so would Blaze, because of the Guardian Bond. She took out her bow and stuck and arrow, only it wasn't a normal arrow. It was one of her ice arrows she managed to get at a potion shop right before she went to the forest. "I've got an ice arrow. I shoot, your body freezes. I don't want to, but please let me go in peace." Amy said, with worry in her words. The lion pounced on here and she shot. All she remembered was shooting, and then blackness. |
Sprinting toward the immense familiar aura she shifted into her wolven form to go faster and more silently. She was closing in quicly, but not quickly enough for herself.
'Damn you...' She thought to herself. Her paws only flashing over the ground with the slightest touch, almost as if she were hovering, though se wasn't. She burst through the brush just as the lion pounced Amy. She snarled and leapt upon its back, shifting into a panther form again she sunk her fangs into one of its shoulders. Her weight colliding with it knocking it to the side, off of Amy. The two tumbled then both got to their feet. Czarnia hissed at the lion and waited for his next move. She knew this shifter, but couldn't place the underlying scent and aura. "Who the hell are you?" She growled through her barred teeth. |
Amy was knocked and rolled down a hill, unconsious still from the impact of the shapeshifter. Blaze, being her guardian, felt her emotions and fainted as well. They plumeted into darkness, side by side, and could only be revived by time.
"I am a warrior of our queen." The shapeshifter replied, bowing his head at his fellow shapeshifter bretheren. "I am Jiihan." Turning back to his human form, he put his sword back, about to kill the elf with it if the other shapeshifter hadn't stopped him. "Why are you helping the elf? We are fighting because of them. All elves must die!" He ran to the direction Amy rolled down to finish his job... ((By the by, if it's ok with you, Jiihan can be free reign, meaning you or I can control him. If that's fine with you.)) |
