Well. Jesus didn't come to water Baptize. He came to shed his blood for the remission of the world's Sins past present and future so that anyone who'll believe on his name and place their faith in Him to save them, will be saved.

My family is Baptist.....but my husband and I go down a different path.

Non-Denominational Christian, I'm open to any Bible Believing, Jesus Honoring. Ideas. Which means anyone with extra biblical doctrines/books can take a hike. I mean if they are trying to convert me that is. Otherwise I'm fine with them.

So does that mean that you just follow the Bible?

Spiritually, I follow only the Bible.
But what I mean by extra biblical is anything not in the Bible claiming to be biblical or Christian. Like say they are these other people out there wanting to be called Christian even though they believe in a totally different Jesus and have their own book and other stories that they say are companions to the Bible or that it's the "Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ." And it's really not. Where in the Bible needs no: "companion", "restorations", or another"testament".
The Bible is sufficient in what is there to lead anyone who's truly open to God's Word, to Salvation in Jesus Christ.

The bible is pretty funny, for a work of fiction, I'll admit it's been funny to see how it's evolved from a fiction novel to a supposed word of god. Just like it'll be funny when the same happens to Harry Potter or Twilight, or similar.

That would be kind of creepy. I doubt there would ever be a Twilight or Harry Potter religion...

I think it's sad how far the world has fallen a way from God and how people can laugh at a book people have been killed, martyred, and struggled to have brought forth, so much blood, sweat, tears over the history of humanity it chronicles with God Heading it. I think it's sad that people can so dis such a book and in a sense slap those responsible for it in the face by calling it a work of fiction. How dare you? How people are still persecuted and killed for placing their trust in the truth of Christ the Bible tells of. If it was such a work of fiction, why is it so feared by this world and attempted by those to be shrugged off as just fiction? There is no other book like it that has the power that the Bible holds. Yes, it's been used for evil I'm not discounting that, it's been to justify hate, and everything under the sun. But in light of that, It remains God's word to us and the light to bring us back to His path through Jesus Christ. Speaking of Christ, how can you call what he went through for us fiction? But how can I expect someone like you to understand the magnitude of that when you can't fathom what it took to have this book you call fiction brought to the masses. From Moses through the Apostles. -phew takes breath.-

I just don't think I'm ever going to "repent" for loving another person... who am I harming? By giving my love to someone of the same gender or to more than one person when all know and accept it?

I didn't right the book or the passages against it but evidently By God it was seen as something unfruitful and not in nature. God loves you beyond your actions, mistakes, etc. He loves you for you and no more reason than that did he come as Jesus to satisfy the penalty of sin and pay his blood to quench the wrath.
