RP Veteran looking for contacts! [Yaoi and Het both]
 

Hello all! While I'm a newbie to this particular site, I am not new at all to roleplay. I've mostly done RP through messenger programs and through forums as well, and I thoroughly enjoy both. However, my list is getting short, and that makes me sad! So here I am, fresh on a site and looking for more people to engage in literary creativity with!

What I'm looking for: An experienced roleplayer who is open-minded and literate. I don't want one-liners (unless I happen to leave one, then it's not fair to expect you to write a novel off of it), I don't want netspeak, I don't want someone who ignores the basic English grammar rules. I don't think of myself as a nazi about it, but I like to see well-thought roleplay.

For the most part I prefer original roleplay situations, but there are some fandoms that I delve into.

I'm always up for some yaoi action. I like vampire stuff, most fantasy type worlds and I'm glad someone elses like Yakuza. But I'd like to know your preferences on minimum post length.

I'm not sure I'd give a required minimum post length, but usually I like around a paragraph to paragraph equality (though it's not required, just liked :3). I.e. I write a post with 5 paragraphs, around 4-5 paragraphs would be awesome. But like I said, I try not to be a stickler about it. I just like description, and I know at times I'm a little more long-winded than other people.

alright I'm just wierd in ways that I might have really long wordy sentances but not long paragraphs. ut if I'm really into a storyline I can get out4-5 decent sized paragraphs. But its mostly 3 chunky pargraphs that I average.

If thats cool with you maybe we can start brainstorming ideas?

Sweet. so whats your biggest craving right now roleplay wise? I do jus about everything in you list- save for steampunk which I've never tried. Victorian I'm a little rusty on as well as Post-Apocalyptic.

Hey, the Steampunk/Victiorian sounds interesting. :P I've never done a steampunk, but I'd love to try.

Right now? Probably mostly Greco-Roman or Fantasy, but for the most part I'm up for anything.

Steampunk is pretty fun. I'm pretty rusty on it, but Victorian anything is always good, haha.

I do love Victorian stuff. Now then, we could do a victorian setting with vampires/people/whatever. :3 I've done all kinds of stuff in the Victorian era-type of setting.

Oooh, I do so love my Victorian vampires...~total Anne Rice fangirl~ But normal people are fun, too. Their little dramas and emotional issues are so amusing. There's always the whole vampire/human deal, but it's hard to do that without it becoming really cliche...

I don't want to say I want to RP then end up having to flee because our characters don't get along.

I'm into Fantasy, because most people cant fit the timeline that my characters are in, and I'm still researching the timeline. (Half of them are Gauls. The other half is other celts. And a zombie and a vampire.)

Well I prefer fantasy-based stuff, and I'm always up for modern fantasy and such as well. I.e. Elves and other strictly fantasy or supernatural beings stuck into a modern or realistic world. So I'm all for that sort of thing. I got started on vampires by Anne Rice, and most of mine are now a conglomeration of a bunch of different vampire things I've read, but mostly influenced by White Wolf's Vampire: The Masquerade game.


That's the thing there. I have a million different characters and ones that mostly just get along with any situation and any person. One of my favorite things anyway is creating characters, so I wouldn't worry about that. Would you be more interested in Yaoi or Het RPing?

Most of my characters are based off, um... everything? Hahaha. I usually when I can end up playing supernatural characters, but I have boatloads of humans as well, although most of them are still from fantasy worlds. But like I said, I love creating characters. I've played vampires, loads of different races of elves, plenty of humans, vampires, werewolves and other were creatures... most things I've done. :3

NO yaoi. D: That word alone is enough to anger me. Not that I have a problem with homosexual men, its just that that anime crap is nothing like a real gay relationship. =3= My thread explains all my limits and wants if you want to take a peek.

I'd prefer you use humans, elves... things like that. But if you can't thats fine. Just no vampires. I've done vampire RPs out the butt.

Well, it's all based on circumstance. Like I said, I've got a ton of characters, and always willing to make more and such. Elves and humans make up the most of my characters, just have a smattering of the others.

Yaoi involves slash of course, which isn't anime based, and I agree most of the anime/manga yaoi isn't hardly like real life in the least, and I like to base it moreso on more realistic troubles. BUT. I do both homo and het relationships and such.

Do you play mostly male or female characters? And what immediate things/plots/ideas would you have at this point in time?

I don't use the term Yaoi for it outside of anime. I'm not using Japanese for anything but the thing the word is meant for. >> It me, its just gay love stories if the anime isn't there.

My thread has plot ideas, I usually play males. My chars sheet is there as well.

I must admit that you have a lovely list of things that you rp.

I'm rather interested in a rp with a slightly altered version of WWII. I have a character that is well fitted for this setting (mainly I took the time line and based him on it)
And you must admit that those SS uniforms are seriously awesome.

Now I was wondering do you have a plot for the WWII setting?

Ohh~~~ I love the idea of prince x knight, but I wouldn't even begin to know where to start plotting. Do you by any chance have any plots for that?

A plot? Sadly not really. Depends on what side you'd want to play/etc. And what sort of altering would you be thinking of? :3

Could be anything, really. The prince going off to learn the ways of the world in preparation to becoming king, something like that. Or the prince is possibly in lines for getting married, but either the prince and knight pine for each other and don't know it or are secret lovers or something along those lines, and there's a whole suitor mishap. Perhaps someone in the line gets killed or something, and the knight is banished~

And skip ahead perhaps years later when the prince is king and and knight returned battle-hardened and grizzled, but still single and loving the prince/king. Something like that, possibly.

I must say, it still definitely sounds interesting. :3

What type of a setting? Like, modern kingdoms? Or old aged kingdoms? Europe?

Probably something of a medieval fantasy-type setting. Doesn't necessarily have to be high fantasy, but if you don't want to play a human prince/king, be my guest. XD I rarely ever argue with Elves and the like, haha.

I don't mind playing humans. I was about to ask if you would prefer to play the prince or the knight. XD
