Since a lot of people seem to be confused as to when events start, maybe have a Calendar somewhere on the site. Someplace that users can look and see, "Oh the Halloween event starts on this day", or "AH The Christmas Event is soo soon! I need to get ready!".

There is a calendar but it doesn't display publicly for some reason.
We generally don't pre-announce a definite date anyway, we learnt in the past that that's just tempting fate as things have always gone wrong, the event's been delayed and we've been buried beneath a barrage of complaining. So now we just give an approximate time (i.e. end of the week) and we let people know once it's actually up and running :yes: |

Thankfully, the event is running perfectly on-schedule at the moment. It just isn't the schedule the users expected. :p
