Hmmmm. College VS Highschool.

Are you in HS or college?
do you think HS is better than college or Vise versa?
I AM in my second year of college and personally I find it better maybe not easier but better.

Chronos Mephistopheles 10-29-2009 10:03 PM

I am in college, and I prefer it over high school to be honest. I'm in my fifth semester and I am loving it. Some teachers I could do without, but otherwise it's much more laid back and easier to handle in my opinion.

**Vampire_Mistress_Jill** 10-29-2009 10:04 PM

Yes I agree, I feel that there is no drama your on your own making decisions YOU feel is best.
and some teachers suck ballz and others a amazing XD

Chronos Mephistopheles 10-29-2009 10:06 PM

Oh god yes. In fact today, my professor was lecturing about John Milton's God in Paradise Lost and his similarities to Gollum from Lord of the Rings. Dead serious. It was the best thing ever.

**Vampire_Mistress_Jill** 10-29-2009 10:08 PM

LOL my teacher in writing asked the class if we ever heard a raccoon mate. O.O I mean HAHAHA wow right?
and she asked it outta no where!!!!

Scarling Zombie 10-29-2009 10:08 PM

Highschool years were the worst years of my life.

Chronos Mephistopheles 10-29-2009 10:09 PM

AMEN! Highschool completely sucked.

**Vampire_Mistress_Jill** 10-29-2009 10:09 PM

Mine too, at least until my senior year. I had a teacher tell me the reason no one liked me was my fault and that I am worthless that was my first yeat in HS.

Miechan 10-29-2009 10:10 PM

Well, I never went to High School because that was the only 4 years of public school (save for preschool) because I was homeschooled. I went all the way through 8th grade, and I was so glad to come out of the system.

I went to a pretty okay middle school, but I won't say it was the best. There were fights constantly, people getting hit with hard objects and several girls I knew personally got pregnant in 8th grade. It was, to me at my young, naive age, something I'd never expect from those people.

I've been in college since I was 15, and I love it. I mean, I'm in an extremely hard semester right now, but it's still great. I'm 19, now, and I've just applied to the Nursing Program, so hopefully I'll get in and graduate by the time I'm 21-23ish.

I do love being in college.

Chronos Mephistopheles 10-29-2009 10:11 PM

Wow... mine wasn't bad like that. I just kept getting dragged into the SROs office for things I didn't do and had no relation too. It didn't go on my record, but it was bad enough it interferred with making friends.

**Vampire_Mistress_Jill** 10-29-2009 10:14 PM

damn, yeah HS sucked ass lol I love college so much more because of many reasons really.
I like being independent you know? I hated waiting on other ppl and OMFG the drama.
I hated it. as well im sure everyone did.

I'm envious! I'm 26 and wish I was as on the ball as you. I'm currently trying to get my foot in the door to pursue a career in the medical field.

Back to the original topic though...College definitely. There's not all the drama of 'fitting in' and so much more freedom.

CrimsonRainX 10-29-2009 10:15 PM

College is definitely better due to less nagging, less stupidity, and more freedom and fellow intellectuals. The list goes on... But I am lazy at the moment. >_<

I graduated from college last summer. If you ask me, college was way more fun then high school. I had harder and more stressful homework, but my classes were more interesting and exciting and I met a lot better friends while I was there.

In college, I made much better friends then what I had in high school. High school, the people there were just people who happened to live near you. In college, it was all people who had similar interests and goals. People who you could be working with some day.

...Plus I went to a college for 3D animation. Going to see digitally animated movies in theaters was actually part of my homework. One of my teachers was a lead animator for Pirates of the Caribbean III. Can any high school say that? Nope.

yes, I am SO freakiing lazy latley lol

I'm in college, and since I've never been to high school before, I guess I can't really judge that.

Pretty much, Can't say I did much work, but was still homeschooled too. I take it you were as well so GO US! *High fives*

darkwolfyoukai 10-29-2009 10:45 PM

College, definitely. It's overwhelming right now, but I actually have a group of friends that I can see at lunch or whenever without having to be in the same class or lunch period. It's so refreshing compared to having all my friends in other lunches and classes. I can't say that I like all the homework, though. My high school was way too easy compared to college, so I didn't need to study then and don't have very good study skills now.

same here my HS never made you study so now I have to study ALL the time and it sucks..I kinda wish now that HS was a bit more challenging.

i was in college for one semester, and i didn't really like it. i really prefered high school. college just had too many people for me. my high school was very small, so everyone knew everyone. i liked that a lot more.

Miechan 10-29-2009 11:23 PM

@ Angrod, yes I was home schooled! I was homeschooled from 9-11th grade because I graduated early in 11th. XD I did a lot of work 'cause...I was determined to, and I actually enjoyed it because it wasn't being shoved down my throat, nor was I being forced to read crap I didn't want to read. I really enjoyed it. :D -high fives-
