Ice was thinking about what was up when she heard David's voice again from out side. she walked back to the window and jumped out to the ground by the trees. She smirked as she listened to him trying to make excuses to Fee. she slowly walked around and with a quick glance at Fee waited at the edge of the trees.

MintyRey 11-19-2009 09:53 PM

"Eh?" Dole, David, and Allen said although they were at different places and in different conversations.
---------

"So your Sentinel friend's that Staccato guy?" Dole couldn't believe her ears. Did her new roommate actually say Legato Staccato was a Sentinel this year? She wondered how on earth that maniac ever became a school guardian. Wasn't a Sentinel supposed to be all about discipline and self-control? Protecting students and all that stuff? The werewolf couldn't seem to wrap her mind around how Legato, the school eccentric, would be able to protect them in the maze forest. No doubt he would just leave them there to fend for themselves. "Er, did you say he's in Mr. Mordent's Literature and Arithmetic class?"

__________________________________________________ ___-

"So you know my goody two shoes brother?" David asked the purple haired girl. He didn't notice that Ice was lurking nearby. A grin ran across his face. "Are you his girlfriend or something? You look pretty young to be his type. I always figured he liked older women." he said in a teasing manner.
__________________________________________________ ___-

The gray haired vampire blinked after hearing the demon boy's response.'What a strange guy.' he thought, 'I'll take it as a yes.'
Allen backed his head up a little as Legato moved in closer. "So you're a Sentinel now?" he could barely believe it. But after thinking it over, there have been weirder people who had been accepted as Sentinels. One of them even tried to take over the school.

o0Calyx0o 11-19-2009 10:01 PM

"Yeah, no." Fiona said dryly. She had just been asking... she had no idea this... this... well, she couldn't exactly think of what he was (not anything appropriate anyway) was related to Allen. "I met your brother last year. He was a lot more polite than you were, that's for sure." Actually, that bit about older women might have been true; Fee always thought that Allen seemed overly fond of Mrs. Dew. "But that's beside the point. It's against about half the school's rules for you to be over at the girl's dorm." Actually, she wasn't sure about that, either, but she couldn't stand peeping toms.

MintyRey 11-20-2009 12:04 AM

"Alright." the red head said as he raised his hands up in a slightly defensive pose. "I'll stay away from the girl's dorms." he said in a lackadaisical way. He started walking off towards the nearest doorway into the castle but paused and turned to her after a few steps. "Allen's in dorm 1 if you're looking for him." With that he walked off to explore the insides of the castle.

o0Calyx0o 11-20-2009 12:11 AM

"I wasn't- oh nevermind, he's gone." Fiona muttered. While it would've been nice to catch up with some of her old friends, she certainly wasn't going to head over to the boy's dorm to look for anyone. That wouldn't make her look desperate at all, oh no- and hypocritical, for that matter. Sighing, Fiona made her way back to the lakeshore and began to seek out another stone.

[Not really sure what to do with myself.. ]

"Ah, great thanks!" Sena said to the other boy, watching as he went off his own way. The juvenile was about to go running off himself when the sound of the clock tower knocked him off balance.

BIN BON BIN BON...BON BIN....BIN BON....

Senses impaired temporarily he decided to just sit down on the roof, eventually drifting to sleep.

'"Look Mama! A puppy!"

Warm hands surrounded Sena's body as a little girl picked him up from the riverside. The heat was welcome to the young werewolf's shivering, wet body.

"Oh, poor thing. Bring it over, dear." came an older woman's voice from afar.

"It's gonna eat ya!" "Yeah, careful!" "Hahaha, it'll bite you to death!" "You're all idiots." "What did you say?" "You heard me." "Mom!"

Male voices came this time, though it was hard to hear over the heartbeat of whoever was carrying him. The scent was.. nice. Sena could relax and feel safe here. His ear twitched and he stirred to get a look at his savior.

Big brown eyes met his half-open golden ones and a lock of her brown hair strayed onto his snout as the wind blew. Before he knew it, Sena had reached up to lick the girl. She smiled down at him.
'

The rest of the dream faded away as Sena's nap was interrupted by the sound of music. He was always drawn to it ever since that day.. hoping to meet her again because she had loved it so.

After a bit of searching Sena finally found the source of the tune. He wouldn't be fooled this time-- the person playing was definitely a teacher, though he wasn't quite sure what instrument the man was playing.

'Not in there..' Sena thought to himself, scanning the player's audience. Despite the disappointment he continued to listen from the windowsill.

Caden stifled a fit of giggles as she saw her room mate's reaction to her friend being a Sentinel. At first she too was shocked and once asked the Headmistress as to why her friend was chosen as a Sentinel. The Headmistress' explanation was rather cryptic one, saying that Sentinels weren't chosen because of perfect marks or excellent behaviour, it was part of the job but not the main reason why the system was established. It was mainly because it was a test of their potential and how they use that potential. Caden at the time never knew what the Headmistress meant by that until she saw her friend actually in action in Mr. Mordent's classes.

Sure Legato almost always insulted some of her friends which often led to brawls where she intervened, played and schemed notorious pranks around the school just to take in the sadistic pleasure of watching people explode and lose self-control. Heck. Legato even didn't display the slightest bit that he was a good and perfect graduate student like most people thought Sentinels should embody.

However, once when the Hell Dragon was talking about the Romantism era and how he took his entire literature class to the High Maze Forest to see what the Romantists wrote about, Legato managed to protect the large group from the various terrors, helped locate lost students and was practically on his best behaviour that was uncharacteristic of his nature.

Even when some of the corrupted Sentinels, the Shudder Sheaths, rebelled and tried to take over the school and tried injured Ms. Dew and some of the staff, Legato became an unorthodox leader of a group of few students that mainly consisted of the combative classes, and some sane Sentinels, lead the team to eradicate threat of the Shudder Sheaths.

With his unorthodox methods and disabling the entire rebellion team, allowing the teachers to do with them as they saw fit. Ms. Dew and Hell Dragon disposed of the rebllious students, sent them to be punished severely in the underground dungeons of the school where the Echo Ghouls, their cousins the Chain Ghouls and various alchemic creations such the Dream Maw Demon resided in. None knew what took place but when the parents were called and the students came out they were trembling with terror.

After big event that took place, Caden took a short while to get used to Legato's position and came to support him as she knew what Ms. Dew meant by potential. Legato had the capability to do evil yet he chose to not abuse his power of his position as Sentinel despite being the school eccentric extremist, Caden came to respect him though that was short lived when he messed around with her.

Snapping out of memory lane, Caden managed to answer cohenrently "Yes, after Mr. Hell Dragon Mordent finally snapped and pegged a text book at a student, Legato is permanently was assigned to his class."

Judging by the disbelief on the juniors face, Caden chuckled a bit, smiling slightly. "Don't worry, Legato isn't that bad once you get use to him. Mind you getting use to it is no easy feat but nonetheless, he is responsible and capable at being a Sentinel." Speaking about Sentinels, Caden cursed loudly when she remembered that Legato had signed her up for the job next year when she graduates without her consent.

"Damn you Legato, I'm so gonna get you for that..." Caden mumbled darkly under her breath.

------------------------------------------------------

Sneezing loudly, Legato cursed a bit under his breath at why people were talking about him. 'Unless it is Caden, I wouldn't be surprised.' Caden tended to be the one who thought most about him since he was her responsiblity as his bodyguard. Sure he worried her lots when he in his usual escapades and wild mood but at least Caden should stop being so workaholic and loosen up.

Seeing the boy back up a bit, Legato smiled wider as he saw what he wanted to see. Disbelief that he was a Sentinel. Chuckling loudly at the boy's slow reaction to his postion, "So does the little mouseling have a name? Mind you, I've been a Sentinel for awhile so I'm a bit hurt to see that you didn't recognise me." Even though he had the job during the mid year of his last year as a student, Legato has been doing his job for quite awhile and some of the students in Hell Dragon's classes already knew about him when he help the Dragon monitor his very large class.

Curious about his relations with his peers, Legato pried further, "Do you know any students here? If so have you heard of my friend Caden Rondo? If not lets go to the Girls' Dorms." Legato loved his childhood friend pretty much like a sister, also he almosts always dragged her along for the wild ride to show her off, help him, hinder him, protect him etcetera. They were pretty much glued to each other most of the time but when rare events where they were separated, like now, was quite chaotic on his part since he caused trouble everywhere he went.

Legato knew also that it was tiresome on Caden's part since she covered some of his escapades up, bailed him out or controlled the damages since she seemed to have developed a radar when he does a little...accident or pulled a harmless, if not a bit extreme, prank on his fellow juniors, peers and staff. Heck he even got the Hell Dragon to assume into his true form and literally played with fire with the enraged and berserk Dragon.

Although it took the Headmistress and Caden together to control both the variables of this equation, Legato had some harmless fun with the ever tempermental 'TriTri' whom he named the Hell Dragon just to keep his life exciting. Mind you he did respect the old teacher, Legato just has...eccentric and more...unique ways to show it. Which was mainly being himself.

As the song slowly came to its finale, Trill was abruptly interrupted when the message bank recieved a message from one of the school's affiliates. Letting out an angry puff of smoke, Trill put the cello away into its case, ready for it to be played once again another time.

Going to stand in front o his desk, he pressed a button to hear what one of the affiliates had to say. Whilst Trill was listening he felt someone or something spying on him. Looking up he saw, what appeared to be a student, looking at him from his windowsill. Pausing the message, he slowly rubbed his temples, trying to calm the rage that was building up inside him.

"May I ask, young man, why are you doing on my window in my office?" Trill managed to say through gritted teeth, as a forming twitch of his eyebrow indicated to some that he was trying his best not to pelt the student with something on his desk like a pencil and was quite annoyed and angry. Not a good combination.

Before the school began, Ampere had taught him some anger management technqiues as to calm his anger as to not scare students to study too badly. He has prgressed quite well, but as a dragon, it was well known fact that it was a dragon's nature to be quite tempermental as well as violent when provoked enough.

(Hey!! Im there at the door!!)

"Oh leave the boy alone Trill. He's not very good with manners." She shook her head, looking at the boy but then back to Trill. "I am actually surprised at you! You can notice such a small thing like that but not notice you have had an audience leaning against your door frame? Maybe you need your eyes checked." She giggled a little.

"You played wonderfully. Maybe that boy just wanted to listen as well."

Ice walked slowly to the beach after Fee catching up to her Ice asked Fee "Hi, whats up?" At the beach she stopped to pick up a stone and skipped it across the lake. as she waited for Fee to answer she picked up another one and sent it across the lake as well.

o0Calyx0o 11-20-2009 04:16 PM

"Oh, hey Ice." Fiona greeted. "Not much... just dealing with annoying boys, nothing unusual for me." The truth, unfortunately. The fire spirit watched as Ice skipped a couple of rocks across the lake. "Nice. So, what do you think of Lucid Crest? It's only your first year here, isn't it?" She asked, trying to strike up a conversation. She hadn't gotten to know Ice very well earlier, and thought it best to get it out of the way now.

darkheart9505 11-20-2009 05:06 PM

'Thanks, Well I don't think it's all bad, are all the boys that bad?' Ice replied. She skipped another and then using her power caused it to skip all the way back to her. throwing it again she let it skip normally across the lake. she kept skipping stones across the lake.

o0Calyx0o 11-20-2009 08:22 PM

"Oh gods no." Fiona assured her. "Lucid Crest has some gentlemen, too. I never thought I'd meet someone worse than Darrien, though." She laughed, watching as her stone skipped a quarter of the way across the lake before sinking.

Lee put down the phone, sighing a smile. Her mother worried about her too much. Looking out her door, she couldn't see if there was anyone there for her to talk to, so she skipped outside into the sunlight.

She had been walking around for awhile, not sure where she was going but enjoyed the scenery she took in. Lee had walked through hallways and gardens, peered through classrooms and what looked like thick woods. It was all so pretty. A large smile spread across her face as she spun around, now outside completely. Something interrupted her trail of thought and dancing, it was the gentle sound of soft hitting on water. Lee put her head down for a second to wonder how she knew that, but blaming her ability on her sense of hearing she perked up.

Following her ears to where the sound was, she found two girls skipping rocks by a lake. Lee had skipped rocks so many times in the ocean back where she lived... back in the sunshine and the ocean cracking...Well, there was an ocean here. Lee shook her head to stop thinking about home, sooner or later she would travel back there if she got too homesick. She looked back over to the rock-skippers. One was Fiona, she could see that easily, the other she didn't know yet. Obviously an elf, with long white hair and darkish blue eyes.
Lee stepped down from where she stood to walk up to them, "Heya." She said, waving her hands with a happy look on her face.

MintyRey 11-22-2009 01:18 AM

"I got a bad feeling about this year..." Dole muttered to herself as she thought about what might happen with Legato in and Mr. Mordent being in the same room for the whole school year. No doubt she'd be able to stay awake for days if the Sentinel decided to do anything stupid in her Literature and Arithmetic classes. Slightly reassured by Caden's words of "Don't worry, Legato isn't that bad..(etc.)..he is responsible and capable at being a Sentinel." and slightly puzzled by her quiet outburst of "Damn you Legato...", Dole decided if they did plan on going to the forest, it would be a good opportunity to get to know the eccentric Legato. Maybe he's not as bad as people say he is? But if he was, she would have to study his quirks to help her predict when he felt like doing something mischievous. "I guess if we have time to kill, I'd like to go with you to High Maze, if you still wanna go that is. We should probably ask if Amy and Kit wanna come along though."
'Safety in numbers...' she thought to herself, 'Safety in numbers...'
__________________________________________________ ___________________-

Allen raised an eyebrow as Legato sneezed. 'Strange indeed...' he thought.
In response to Legato's inquiry of his name, he merely replied "Allen, Allen Albright."After hearing the Sentinel's proposition to go to the girls' dorms, the vampire took a minute to think about it. He had heard of a Caden Rondo but didn't remember if he'd seen her or not. He did want to see Fee and Dole though, even though Fee usually wouldn't allow him to get anywhere near their old room, he was sure she'd mellow out by now. "I guess I've got nothing else to do." he finally said, turning off the television and getting up. "After you." he said with a smile.

Kamina 11-22-2009 02:52 AM

"A-ah.. well I.. uh.." Sena stuttered, wondering what in the heck he did wrong. "Yes. I-I was just listening to you play, sir."

'Honesty is the best policy right now..' he thought to himself as he inwardly thanked the female teacher he met earlier for saving him from this guy's probable wrath. 'This school is nuts.'

To Sena, it was kind of true. The teachers here at Lucid Crest could go from calm one moment to angry with him the next for no apparent reason. Once again he was wishing he waited until after the new moon. He's lost, in trouble for (what he thinks, and probably really is) nothing or not his fault, tired and hungry but no one's cutting him any slack.

'What a harsh place to be.'

o0Calyx0o 11-22-2009 06:23 PM

Fiona smiled back at the perky werewolf. "Hi Lee. Um, have you met Ice?" She asked, gesturing to the elf standing next to her. It was nice that her roommates all seemed... fairly sane, anyway, by her standards. It was a bit upsetting that she wasn't rooming with Dole this year- if nothing else, Dole always made things interesting. Fee found it rather ironic that Dole and Lee were both werewolves. Maybe she just had a thing for them? Shaking her head, she turned back to her roommates. "Ice is our other roommate. I don't think you've met Suki yet, though, right Ice?"

Little Miss 11-22-2009 06:56 PM

Lee shook her head, "Haven't. Hello Ice." She said, holding out her hand for the elf to shake. "You guys skippin' rocks? That's fun. I used to do it all the time but I'm not sure I'm good anymore." She said, her head turned but her arm still out.

darkheart9505 11-22-2009 10:42 PM

Ice replied, 'Hi, It's lee right? How far can you skip a rock?' Ice tuned and launched another one across. Ice saw the same bird as before and called it in her native language. replying to it's message she sent it back with a word of command.

Little Miss 11-22-2009 11:39 PM

Lee looked a bit awe-struck at Ice and her mysterious language. But, then acknowledging the question, she answered "Mhm." She said. Then continuing, "I'm not sure. I guess the skipping varies with my mood or the weather." She looked below her feet to find a perfect skipping rock. Most were round and not flat, obviously not good enough. She fingered through most until she found one that seemed perfect enough. It was dark black, round, and almost sparkled in the sunlight.

Lee aimed, rock-skipping was the one of the few things she liked to focus on. Thrusting the rock out, she watched in make it's way onto the water.
One, two, three, four, five.
Plop, the stone finally sunk. Lee smiled, "It's much better then I thought I'd do." She said, beaming happily.

o0Calyx0o 11-23-2009 07:23 PM

"See? It's not so hard." Fiona laughed. "I used to do this a lot last year when I was here, especially when I didn't have class." Different people, same activity. Maybe this school didn't change as much as she thought.

But the last time she was here had been so different. She had been so nervous and scared, and so insecure about herself. Even her grandparents had been surprised by the change in her personality when summer break had rolled around. She hadn't felt the need to "prove herself" by picking fights with her cousins (as often, anyway), and she'd been so eager to get back this year- impeded only by her cousin's curse of perpetual lateness. She smiled, sending another rock flying across the water's surface.

Little Miss 11-24-2009 03:07 AM

Lee picked up another flat stone, and held it in the palm of her hand, feeling the surface. "You did? I lived by the ocean my whole life, me and my grandpa would always go out there every morning to see who could skip the most...and then we'd look for little tiny shells along the coast." She casted the rock into the water, only making two skips until it sunk. It made little ripples that expanded from the spot.

Lee continued speaking, talking as if it had only happened the day before. "Rain or shine too. My family isn't too picky on weather, and it's almost always cloudy in the mornings..." She trailed off, sitting down at the base of the lake. She looked to the sky, seeing the white fluffy clouds drift down the blue sky. "For five years my mom tried to tell me that the water isn't really blue, but just a reflection from the sky. I didn't believe it 'till I was 11." She laughed, which sounded almost like a soft melody in the breeze. Rhythmic and bubbly. She slid off her shoes and dipped them in the water, making little ripples with her feet.

T-RedBack 11-24-2009 11:34 AM

"Just so that certain things are clear Ms. Tensaki, first thing is I have certain blindspots in my field of vision so it was possibly the reason why I couldn't detect you." Trill managed to draw out calmly, his temper easing gradually. Afterall, he is quite... when it comes to
"Second, I do not enjoy being watched when I'm partaking in a silent and secret hobby of mine. Especially in an explicit spot like the window, which I thought was closed." Trill continued, mumbling quite silently under his breath about soundproofing before continuing in his normal inside voice.
"And finally, as much as I am flattered by your compliment Ms. Tensaki and at the possibility, I rather not have anyone knowing about this since this an indulgence I like to enjoy by myself."

This is mainly because Trill rather be comforted knowing that his close friends, such as Ampere, know of his little 'indulgence' because he was the one that either told them thus establishing his control however, if someone were to discover by themselves, it makes him out of whack. Mainly because he wants some control over his life.

Turning to face the student, not recognising the face, Trill deduced that the boy was possibly a new student. Sighing exasperatly at his overreaction he pinched the bridge of his nose, "I'll let you off with a warning this time since this is, possibly, your first time here. And also because today is a time of settling in. However, next time I catch you sneaking into my office there will be consequences." Trill warned.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Smiling widely Legato answered rather gleefully (to the point that it was creppy), "Thank you little mouseling." As he exited out of the room.

When he was outside the room and in the hallway of the Boys' Dormitory, he lead the boy outside the Dormitory and into another set of hallways and corridors where students came and went, bustling in and out with activity. "Don't get lost now, little mouseling." Legato winked as he lead the way towards the Girls' Dormitory, as masses of students parted out of the way of the infamous eccentirc bundle of chaos.

It didn't take too much trouble since his reputation as a very unpredictable time-bomb allowed passage of the masses of students to be quite easy, since their fear oozed thickly out of their pores at what may happen if they set the albino off. Arriving at the Girls' Dormitory he knocked very loudly on the very first door of the Dormitory, room one.

"Oi Caden! You in there?!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Upon hearing familar loud knocking, Caden turned towards the door and opened it.
"Speak of the devil, you're here." Caden said, before giving her childhood friend a reprimanding punch in the gut.

Wincing in pain at his bodyguard's litte show of strength, Legato held the doorframe to prevent him from doubling over onto his little accquaintance."Ow! What was that for?!" Despite the rough greeting, Legato was smiling happily when he saw his friend, Caden at the door.

"For signing me up for next year's Sentinel Program without my consent." Was Caden's curt reply before turning towards her roommate. "Dole, this is my annoying childhood friend Legato. Legato this is my roommate Dole. Don't scare her." Caden sent a chilling glare at the shapeshifting albino, whom unaffected by the intensity of the glare introduced himself, the way he knows. By being himself.

"Hey there little kitty, I'm Legato Staccato pleasure to meet your accquaintance!" Legato greeted, as his famous shark-like smile creeped into his face, his eyes closed with mirth as he offered the girl his hand to shake.

"Staccato don't be rude." Caden reprimanded her glare intensifying as she readied herself to strike him again when she noticed the youth at the door. "Oh, I see you brought a friend along. This is new." Turning to face the youth Caden introduced herself.

"Hello, I'm Caden Rondo. I'm sorry if my friend here was being quite rude. I apoligise if he has done anything to offend you." Caden said as she bowed, it was something she had done multiple of times when Legato did something that he shouldn't have done when she wasn't around to supervise him like she was hired to do by his family.
"Caden dear, I did nothing of the sort."
"We'll see."

o0Calyx0o 11-24-2009 03:13 PM

"That sounds like fun. I'm not much of an ocean person myself, but I like going to the beach if it's sunny." Fiona said in reply. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw two figures exit the boys' dormitories, and turned to get a better look. She recognized one of the figures immediately as Allen Allbright, but the other... 'Holy crap, what is Allen doing with him?! ...and going to the girls' dorms, why am I not surprised?' Despite her minor annoyance, Fiona was smiling. "Um, hey, would you guys excuse me? I need to go see something." She said to her two roommates, quickly heading back toward the girls' dorms.

Strangely, her only thought was, 'I sincerely hope I don't get jumped on' as she raised a fist and knocked on the door.

darkheart9505 11-24-2009 03:27 PM

'OK see you Fee. I'm A water elf I like to swim.' After saying that Ice jumped in the water. She swam to the middle of the lake and started to just float there. she looked back to shore she saw Fee enter the dorm tower after two boys.

Kamina 11-25-2009 01:06 AM

"Uh.. before you kick me out.. can one of you please point me towards Boys' Dorm 1? I was trying to ask Ms. Tensaki earlier but, well, she misunderstood my intentions and I got burned. Literally..." Sena said, still wondering where that fireball came from after the tailed professor stalked off.

He contemplated asking if either of them (second time for Ms. Tensaki) needed someone to work for them for small change but he held his tongue. Instinct told him now was not the time. The young werewolf probably won't get off with just another warning if he tries to push his luck again today.
