AHH! my power cord on my lap top died.

*cries*

It was working a second ago, now it isn't...and I only have 15 minutes left on power saver mode..

DARN THIS STUPID THING...I dun know what's wrong with it...I have to call gateway!

*sigh* Gotta love those companies... they must pre-program certain items to break >.>

And it would have to be a Gateway. You can only buy parts from them. Sometimes places sell after-market versions if Gateway is asking too much for it. Of course if it is still under warranty, you are in luck. :)

Good luck with that. Hope it works out. I hate being without a computer.

Bleh. That sucks. Those things aren't cheap either. Seriously though, check ebay. Sometimes you can find them there for a pretty good deal if you don't mind used.

Mine has been dead for weeks now. I've been burrowing a power cord from a friends because a replacement would cost about a hundred bucks...which I don't have.

Im using my friends lab top because mines shut down on me

I got the plan where I get to have my powercord replaced every two years.

Hope you have your problem fixed. Reminds me of the time where I had a laptop where the battery for it never worked. So like, everytime the battery/power chord thingie came unplugged from the power outlet, the laptop would act like a desktop and shut down instantly. Sucked a lot since it doesn't even give you time to save things.. xD Though..now it's dead because of viruses..lol..anyway good luck again. xD

I've had that happen. It spent a few months where I had to angle it a certain way for it to work, before it finally stopped all together. It sucks but I ended up having to buy a new one.

Ugh, that happened to me a few years back, I thought my world was ending. I've got a dell that's an outdated model, so I ran into the same problem of having to order it special and all that.

Don't worry, it'll end up okay!

My fiance's laptop without the cord has only 5 minutes of power time at 100% battery. With the cord, it's infinite....that's what he gets for constantly charging his laptop 24/7. My laptop has grown weaker, but it's to be expected since it's 3 years old, at 100% battery, I have about 45 minutes of power. Not bad, but not too good either.

I agree, a replacement battery is expensive....so do what you can to keep your laptop on.

That happened to my laptop cord. The funny thing is that the cord beeped at me. Yes! It beeped at me! The little box on the cord. Here, I thought it was the computer dying. When I took it to a repair shop, I found out it was the cord and not the laptop, but they wanted to charge me $100 for a cord. I had already bought a new laptop, but I still have my old one so on payday I plan to go on ebay and buy a replacement cord for it for only $20. Ebay is the way to go cord wise! Good luck!

Lady_Megami 11-02-2009 12:49 AM

lol I am such a dork...

You will never guess what really happened. Well, I was at work this morning, and apparently the power supply to that wall died...cause when I went to fax something..the fax machine was dead too.

So it wasn't my cord, I am at home happily on my computer.

Leenalia 11-02-2009 12:53 AM

Huh wow, now isn't that ironically funny =P Well I'm glad to know it's not your cord.

Sizzla 11-02-2009 08:54 PM

Well, since your problem is resolved, and there's really not much discussion here in the first place, I'm going to lock this up. If you want to come up with some discussion topics, let me know and I'll reopen the thread for you.
