Watching this fight with an amused look on his face Vik was sure Holly was going to be demolished if Selk fought her 100 percent. Holly just came off as too girly when it came to fighting but then again anything could happen once a fight began, he learned that lesson early in life. Neam seemed to be a strait forward type of fighter using her strength to her advantage whereas Selk like to be unpredictable using take downs to throw her enemies off guard. That so far had been the gist of the fight. The dragon had ignited a fire on her blade and even though she had not hit the drow with it yet he wondered how the elf would react to such a blow.
Neam swore in her natural language when she missed her mark again, then laughed when Selk pounced on her back. She was thrown forward, but twisted so it was Selk who hit the ground first, with Neam landing on top of her. She rolled herself off and onto her feet, bringing the blade around to meet Selk, and hopefully strike before she got up.
The breath was knocked out of the drow, but Selk managed to deflect the flaming sword with her daggers. The blades clashed against the stone ground, a few sparks flying up in the darkened room. Muttering a few words under her breath, the dark elf wrapped both of her legs about Neam's ankle. One of her enchanted blades was then thrown at the dragon's chest, aimed for her right shoulder.
Selk felt beads of perspiration on her forehead and brushed them away irritatedly. Her glowing eyes locked on Neam's gaze, and she snarled angrily. ((I love the way people observe. LOL, it makes me feel better about taking everyone one on one.)) |
As Holly watched she became more and more frightened. 'I am so going to die.' She thought. She was watching wide eyed with her mouth open. She had seen fights before but it wasn't even close to this, and this was just to see what they could do. Alex wrapped his arms around her. He was watching the fight almost a scared as Holly was. Of corse he could fight way better then she could, but that's because he was trained. He tightened his grip on Holly not wanting to let her go out there and fight. Selk looked like she had gone crazy.
Neam dropped down as the knife came at her, dropping the sword and holding onto the flame itself. The flame twisted, acting much like a snake in it's own right, and lashed at Selk's face. If nothing else, she would be blinded. She hels her other hand out, creating another ball of flame, more condensed and under control than the whip-snake. "What can a drow do when blind, Mistress? Tell me that," her voice hissed. The condensed ball exploded, filling the room with intense light for a few moments.
((Muahaha, beat that! Ancient red dragon is a macguyver!)) |
Holly covered her eyes and burried her face in Alex's chest. Her skin burned from the fire's light even though it didn't touch her. Alex closed his eyes and looked away from the two fighting as well. He wasn't nearly as bothered by it as Holly seemed to be. Of corse she never could go out in sunlight without it bothering her and He could wander around all day if he wanted he opened his eyes as soon as the light was gone and looked around the room little spots dancing across his vision. Holly looked up and rubbed her eyes then glared at neam.
(hehe you almost blinded the vampire XD) |
(( Hey I have a question... why is she seeing who can fight best.. I want Dante to spring into her cave and tell her she's gone too far and be the hero! But i kind of still need to catch up with a few things! D; ))
Shielding his eyes against the harsh light flooding the room Truinthil grinned. This fight was turning into quite the interesting one. This Neam might even give him a challenge were he to ever have to fight her. Perhaps. He would continue to watch passively however. His fight had already come and gone and there was no need for him to step in again.
((Brilliant!! :O))
Selk let loose a piercing shriek, squeezing her eyes shut and wrenching away from Neam. She shouted out a few drow curses, blinking rapidly - she was completely blind. Tears streamed down her black face, and the dark elf tried to watch her opponent through her blurry, spotted vision. "Clever," she said in a tight voice. It was then that the room went completely black. Selk leapt into the air, levitating up out of Neam's reach, trying to gain time until her eyes stopped burning. Since she was used to complete darkness, the light had damaged her sight - it would be hours before she could see right again. Dropping silently to Neam's side, she rolled forward, coming up with her blade aimed for the woman's stomach. After this day, they would all need to guzzle down a few healing draughts. . . . |
Neam let part of the spell on her form go as soon as the darkness fell again. The blade aimed for her stomach met with scales, producing a scraping sound. "Did you forget something important?" Neam growled; a hissing, reptilian quality to her voice. "I've worked on this particular ability. Interesting, no?" Claws lashed out in the direction the blade came from. Shit... A few drops of blood fell from her stomach. "The only thing, the scales are still a bit too thin..."
((If she seems too epic, let me know. She's supposed to be really, really old, and therefore powerful.)) |
Vik blinked his eyes a few times and let them re-adjust to the darkness again, and since he was only half vampire the light didn't effect him at all. The match was better than he could have hoped and now more than ever he wanted to see what would happen to his vampire kin. Then focusing his thoughts back on the fight at hand, he realized the drow would be shit out of luck as far as sight goes, for a while at least. But thinking a little more on the subject, the half breed wondered how much that would effect her... He shrugged his broad shoulders and let a slight grin grace his lips for the first time in a while then took a quick glance around and began to observe once more.
Selk drew her blade back when Neam's claws lashed for her face. "Good," she hissed, blinking a few times. Her eyes still stung from the flash of light. Dropping her fighting stance, the dark elf shook her head viciously. "Holly." She turned to face the vampire. "It's your turn, little Abbil." Little friend. Drow had no friends.
"Where are you strongest, Holly?" Turning away from Neam, the tear-streaked drow glared at the vampire. "What can you do when fighting something stronger than you?" She motioned with a single black finger, her twin blades sheathed back in her belt again. Stepping over to pick up her whip, Selk closed her eyes for a few moments, waiting for Holly. ((Is there anyone I'm missing? And she's great, Neam. :D)) |
(( Well... what about holly's boyfriend alex? ))
((Hehe, oh yes. Despite his nasty condition, I think we'll test him as well. Or perhaps have him help Holly . . . >.>' That would take care of both at the same time. :D))
(( Hahaha, you show a dislike to Alex and Holly XD Too lovey dovey for your elf's liking? ;D
Well I'll come when I come up with something but I'm still pretty stuck. )) |
{No making fun of Alex and holly's 'Lovey dovey' relationship! XD.}
Holly stood up rather quickly and looked at selk. She tried to ignore the glare she was getting but was still a bit uneasy about this whole fighting thing. "I, uh...I'm fast and I don't die easily...?" She smiled slightly. "Ohhh, and I don't really need a wepon because I have fangs and really sharp nails." Holly sounded somewhat excited now. She grinned her fangs were showing and her fingernails were sharper. "That's all I've got." She shrugged. Alex smiled from behind her still sitting on the floor. He felt tired and figured if he had to fight Selk next he mine as well rest for now. Holly wouldn't mind. |
((I don't know if I can not make fun of their relationship... that's what I do... haha))
Vik smiled deviously at the poor girl's explanation of her abilities but was still eager to see how she would fare against a trained fighter like Selk. The elf's unpredictable fighting style up against a vampire who only fought to defend her life... of all the match ups this was the one to watch simply out of plain curiosity. The half breed was sure his vampire kin would die in only a matter of minutes if the drow wasn't crippled at the moment but even so the inability to see hadn't really slowed her down in the last fight against Neam, either way this was going to be good. Poor wolf has to sit and watch, wonder how he feels? |
{Well you're just a stinky head...XP}
((Dang... ouch haha... jk that's totally ok with me :D))
{lol, well I guess your not the stinky head Vik is, which is kinda you but not really.............Oh well your still a stinky head anyway. XD}
((Lol he is an extention of my true self haha so yeah I am in a sense but like I said that's totally ok with me haha XD))
{lol ok then, at least stinky head isnt that mean. (:}
((Lol it would have to be much worse than that for me to consider it mean... because I'm an evil person and know what mean is and stinky head is just laughable hahaha))
{Well as u most likely can tell, stinky head is about as mean as I get. :) }
((*Chuckle* You two.))
Selk glanced at Holly's "weapons" with a pained expression. "Then you're going to have to rely on your speed," she hissed, blinking a few times. "To save your life." The drow lunged forward without her blades drawn, colliding with Holly's form roughly. It sounded like she ran into a wall, but the effect was different. This time the two women fell to the floor, Selk throwing a punch at the vampire's face. ((If at any point Alex becomes uncomfortable with Holly's fight, go ahead and have him come in. :D I might have Selk call him into the battle.)) |
