Hadara wiped away her tears and looked out her small window. She walked to the window and smiled seeing she had a perfect view of Memphis's house from her window. She walked to her small mirror and looked at herself and laughed slightly seeing how horrible she looked. She was white as a sheet from being scared by that guard and her eyes where so red she looked like a spirit back from the dead. She shook her head and unlocked her door. She headed for the baths knowing it would heal her both physically and mentally. As she steped into the water she sighed and layed her head down on the side of the pool and though of Memphis. It was hard not to think of him. His dark mysterious looks.... And his sweet words had caught her heart off guard... She couldn't wait to see him again....

EMUISHÉRÉ walked home from the Palace. She loved being able to leave the palace each night, as the Pharaoh had yet to take her. She walked by the river now dressed in a think Cotton dress with Fake gold threads intwined with the straps. Her face was covered by a matching slik attacked to a think rope tied into her brown hair. Sighing she bagan to sing a song of praise to Ammit. "Down with the sorry sinners, devour those who try to hinder. Take them to the judgement hall, and weigh there hearts." She sang in a soft sad voice.

Hadara got up smiling and feeling much better then before. She walked out of the pool and sighed wrapping a towel about herself. The intoxicating smell of vanilla filled her nose as she walked slowly towards her clothes. She hummed to herself a song of Osiris and it brought a smile to her lips. Hadara let the towel fall from her and she slowly got changed into her clothes ounce again. She stepped out into the cooling air seeing the sun going down and smiled. Soon darkness would come and with it her dark friend Memphis to set her free. But she knew also danger came with the great orb's desent. All slave girls feared the night for the same reason she did... It could be her last. And the hands of Pharo would be upon her and when all was said and done she would meet the dagger's touch. Hadara shivered at the thought and prayed to Osiris that it wouldn't come to that.

Banafrit's eyes started to shine and sparkle with glee. She loved when the pharoh was in a good enough mood to let her wonder even though rare she looked foward to it daily. She bowed again to him and scurried off determined to make the best out of her day off. She was able to leave easily into the very inner part of the city and she started to wonder around the shops. She remembered that she had wanted to make something for the pharoh and his wife so she started to wonder around the shops for some food and trinkets. She noticed a small shop that held a few breads that were perfect for what she wanted. She had made a note of what she was going to ask to get from the pharoh but she knew that this was going to have to be skipped. She decided to look anyways and saw something that she mentally made a note of than she started to wonder around freely til she saw that it was about to be dark. She got to the castle and to her bed in time before the moon had risen and heard a gaurd check for her and grunt in approval.

Nebt-Het looked over at Femi as they neared to temple again. "Thank you for coming with me...I am sorry for acting in such a way but that man always brings the worst out of me. Would you like to stay here for the night? You are more than welcome any friend and sister of Anubis is welcomed in this temple." She gave her a warm smile from behind her mask as the Warriors open the door for them waiting on them to enter the temple.

(Suddenly it goes from morning to night? O.o')
The Pharaoh looked at his friend and smiled. "Yes I think it would be best to leave now and see those young ladies you spoke of earlier, at least before another comes to interrupt" he said to his friend. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "My lady Irisi you cannot kill yourself. I know that it may be hard for you to endure such, but if you were to end your life now the repercussions will not only affect the people here but this sister that you speak of. If you are not there then I'm sure that your sister shall suffer more. Please take heart though you may not have to endure such horrors for too long" Hor said trying to convince the queen to continue living. He knew that if she were to die that things would not only be bad for the people and the resistance plans, but also he just did not wish to see such a fair maiden throw her life away for such an evil man. |
Miw-sher allowed herself to be dragged back to the slave quarters. She half-heartedly pulled against her chains knowing that it was of little use. She felt the sting and burn and finally the pain as one of the guards pulled harder against the chain around her waist. A slow drop of blood beaded on the chain and dripped to the floor. Through it all though, she held onto hope. She had been so near to the Pharoahs chamber that, had she looked up, she would have looked directly out of the castle and if she'd turned around she'd have looked directly into his eyes. Miw-sher had thought for sure that he would punish her himself; she knew that he was drawn to things like that, her escape attempt and other such rebelliousness. She expected it as she was pulled into the near darkness of the slave quarters but the dark frightened her a bit. It wasn't long before her eyes adjusted though. The guard that was holding her chain pulled her forward roughly almost making her fall. She steadied herself against the wall. As she did so, the guard slapped a manacle to her wrist. He pushed her against the wall and pulled her other arm up so that it met with the first and closed the manacle around it also. She cringed as his hand brushed against her near naked body as he lowered it; the guard merely winked and gave her a cruel smile. "Don't worry little kitten, Pharoah will know exactly what to do with you. This won't bother you at all once he's done" He grabbed her breasts roughly and she whimpered; she turned her head away from him, toward the wall and tears made their way slowly down her cheeks.

Hadara walked into the slave quarters and stoped letting her eyes adjust. She saw a guard with a slave girl and was angered. She walked up to the guard and slaped him and pushed him away from the girl. "Leave her be!" she said angerily and her servivel instinccts kicked in. She kneed the man in the crotch and then in the face. She threw him to the floor and grabbed the keys from his body. "Are you alright?" Hadara asked and unlocked the shackles around the poor girl's wrists. "He didn't hurt you did he?" she asked worriedly looking atthe girl. She too had fallen victim to one of the guards like this girl but had managed to escape. The guards wouldn't dare report this because their heads were on the line for touching the servants before the pharo.

Banafrit saw the pharoh and smiled as she walked up to him. "Sir what should I do today?" She said bowing to him quickly than looking at him with curiousity in her eyes.

Emuishere walked past the temple and into the market, she loved the hustle and bustle of the market place, it was full of traveling sales men and what not. She stopped in front of one stand that was selling monkeys. She laughed as one began to play around in the cage as she watched. The merchant tried to get to to buy but she declined, No she was saving her money for some new fabric to make a new dress out of.
|
Tears slowly fell from Miw-sher's eyes but they were quickly drying. "Y..Yes, I'm fine..." She rubbed her wrists and adjust the single chain around her waist. "It's... It's alright, I'm used to it. And no...no more than usual..." At her own words, Miw-sher looked down at herself. She usually kept herself tidy; even for a slave. Her clothes were always at least somewhat clean (that also somewhat ratty) and her hair always combed and held back with a piece of twine. She had lost her 'hair band' when she'd pulled away from her master earlier and her hair was messy and tangled. Tear streaks marked her face that had been mostly clean before the guard had touched her. Her clothing was an absolute mess and a small bloodstain could be seen on her waist. "Please, don't pull yourself into this. I'm in enough trouble as it is... I'm one of his worst slaves... You'll only get yourself into trouble for helping me." She turned and hurried off. She wanted to thank the kindly woman but she knew that what she was doing would be safer.
|
Hadara watched the girl go and shook her head. She wanted to help the girl but she knew that staying here at a scene of a guard being hurt wasn't a good idea. She turned for the door and silently walked to it. Hands grabbed her waist and a man whispered,"you'll pay for that." Hadara realized the guard had her and her head was yanked backwords by her hair. She gave a yelp of pain and he smiled. His hand slid around her waist pulling her closer to him. Hadara tried to fight but he was much stronger than she was. She quickly thought of a way out and took it. She backed up slamming the guard into the wall and ran. She was out of the door and down the hall before he could follow. Hadara quickly and silently ran down the all too familiar halls and hid behind a statue to catch her breath.

Ako snapped his fingers and Anaksumnamun stood ready by his side to follow him. He clipped on her leash to the collar she always wore. She obediantly stood there and let him. He headed for the door. He paused by Nanu.
"Are you going to bring this filly with you? If you dont she might try to escape again." He was always interested in Irisi and Nanu and so far he had been turned down. He had tried to seduce Irisi behind pharoahs back as he doubted he would mind with all the young girls he had. But now since Irisi had kicked him hard between the legs he decided to go for Nanu. She was a lovely young girl and he was very interested. Irisi smiled at him a moment. "I suppose you are right. But I shall keep the dagger in case needed." She pointed to the money "That should be more than enough." |
When Memphis got up he awoke with a smile on his face, he had dreamt a wonderful dream. The woman from earlier continued to occupy his thoughts and he had saw them together in a dream. They were living in a kingdom ruled by a pharaoh who was kind and just. Memphis finally had no need to fight as he had found a meaning for his life, Hadara. He knew that the reality of this dream was unlikely but he was willing to make it come to pass. He felt a strong connection with the exotic beauty and could not bare the thought of her being touched by the tyrant on the throne.
Before he headed over to bargain with the pharaoh he needed to speak with Hor about a plan for the resistance. It was time to start making plans and getting them underway. The pharaoh needed to be removed and he intended to make sure that the resistance was well organized so that they could do so. He could easily lead the attacks or carry out quick missions that involved fighting but the more political aspects such as supplies and Intel would suit Hor better than himself. If the resistance was to stand a chance, Memphis felt that he and Hor would need to lead them to their salvation. The young man got out of bed and then quickly freshened up and headed back out towards the edge of town where Hor had his shop. |
Hadara finally came out of her hiding place after she had calmed down. Yet again she had gotten herself in a very close scrape and she thanked Osiris that she had escaped. Hadara silently paded down the halls making sure no noise came from her person. She couldn't wait for the sun to set. She was so egar to see Memphis again it was almost unbareable thinking about how long she would have to wait.... How long she would have to aviod the guards.
|
On the way to see Hor, Memphis stopped in the market to look for a gift for his enticing young maiden. He walked around the shops looking at all kinds of apparel. He saw some beautiful pieces of clothing but slowly decided that he wasn't looking for an article of clothing. He kept pacing around for a while until he came upon a jewelry shop and decided that he would look in there.
The merchant welcomed him and they had a brief conversation about the jewelry he carried in his shop. Memphis had to admit the merchant had quite the selection, there were some exquisite pieces in his possession. He took his time looking through the earrings, rings, necklaces, and even anklets. Finally something caught his eye, it was a gold set of jewelry that contained a necklace, earrings, and anklet. All the pieces were decorated very elaborately with finely cut diamonds and onyx. Memphis told the merchant he would take the set no matter the price and purchased the set. He then kindly thanked the merchant and continued on his way to the edge of town where Hor kept his shop. |
Hadara returned to her room quietly closig the door and leaned against it. She sighed and slid to the floor feeling very drained from the day. She walked quickly to her small bed and picked up one of her few posessions her comb. She pulled the comb through her hair while she hummed and thought of Memphis. She found a smile on her lips as she thought of him and shook her head. It amazed her how just meeting him ounce she already couldn't stop thinking about him. Then she wondered if Osiris had this planed for them all along.
|
Emuishere saw Memphis and recognized him from the Palace army. "Good day sir." She said bowing before him as she had watched her mother do times before. Her mother had been killed by the Pharaoh's men during the last raid against his power. Ember was twelve. Her father raised her to be just like her mother, if he knew what she was now lowed down to he'd never forgive her.
|
Memphis ran into a young woman from the palace and he reurned her greeting with a bow of his own "Good day, my lady. What brings you to the market might I ask ma'am." He was in no hurry to get to Hor so he decided to stop and talk to the woman for a while as she had taken out the time to kindly greet him.

hethor walks around out side the palace thinking
"maybe i should go back in....i bet they dont notice im gone anyways" shrugs and keep walking and runs into a dead end "shoot wrong way i need a map" looks around "dam it...." ((sorry havent been on internet got turned off)) |
"I'm looking for some Fabric so I may sew a new dress." Emuishere said with a smile, she enjoyed talking to those who were in good humor and not in a rush, and it seemed as if this man was in no hurry to be anywhere at the moment.
|
Memphis smiled at her gently and replied, "I see. Do you intend to make it for yourself or as a gift to someone special?" He was genuinely curious to see if this young lady was here for reasons similar to his own or just because she was in need of some new clothing.

After running from Hadara, Miw-sher found one of the many exits from the slave quarters. Since slaves were always chained inside the quarters the doors were left unlocked. She made her way out. She was careful to keep her chains as quiet as possible as she moved.
"I don't know where to go... I don't know what to do... Please Bast, watch over me... I, your faithful kitten, need your protection now more than ever..." She whispered as she walked slowly through the nearly abandoned halls. "I'll go to the palace gardens... I'll be safe there until my master finds me." She shivered as she realized that somewhere near, her master was most likely looking for her. And she was right. Luzige, Miw-sher's owner, angrily searched the grounds. She'd been missing for a long time and he began to worry. As a member of the palace, Luzige knew that the Pharoah would be extremely angry if he knew that one of his favored slaves had been ''lost''. Especially since she'd been neither played by the Pharoah nor scarred. When he'd lost her, he'd followed after her. Well, not he himself, he'd sent another slave after her. That slave had returned to him empty-handed saying, "She is gone! The priestess made her safe and when Anubis's presence had gone... The girl was gone!" He'd cursed the filthy wretch and made a promise to himself that when... if he found her, that she would regret it like she'd regretted nothing she'd ever done before. He would give her as a special gift, directly to the Pharoah. Luzige smiled to himself. The girls given directly to the Pharoah were his own special playthings. Only the most beautiful and rebellious girls were given to him. Miw-sher fit the requirements. "I'll get rid of her! AND I'll gain favor with the Pharoah! What better punishment for her and what better reward for I?" He cackled to himself as he searched, now almost feverishly. He was rudely awakened from his search. He was walking down the hallway toward the gardens when he tripped over something... Looking toward his feet, a small, thin black cat was sitting calmly just out of reach of his kicking legs. |
sees Hadara and walks up to her "
