Finally - Gaia actually asking for feedback on an event.
I'm still get on Gaia frequently but that's because I'm there for friends and not the discussion. By all means, the discussions are quite dead >.>
Anyway, I was quite pleasantly surprised when an announcement came out today mentioning that the Demon Buster's event was coming to an end soon and that also, there was a survey you could take about your opinions on the event. I don't really remember being asked to take one of these for the other events, so I was glad to give some feedback. Of course, now it just means Gaia taking the collective feedback to better their events. So - do you think it's a good idea that Gaia wants feedback on their events? Do you think they'll actually listen? Are you going to complete their survey? |
I know I'm going to complete the survey. I fully think they'll listen to it, too. I had a lot of fun with the Demonbusters event. It was really good income!

I was not a fan of the Demonbusters event, and I made sure to say so when I completed the survey. :yes: I'm glad they did the survey actually. They should do those more often.
We always do them after events, and I think we've learned a lot from them. Hopefully the Gaia staff will learn as well. :D |
I don't think that I saw the whole survey thing. I didn't even participate in the event, and only joined to help my friends get more followers.
But I think that it's a good idea that Gaia actually got feedback on their event. It's kind of like asking for feedback for new changes. I think that Gaia actually went along with one of my ideas for the new site layout. When they changed it before the new one, I got pissed off that all my shortcuts basically weren't shortcuts anymore. And I said that shortcuts should be customizable. And they did that. Though I think that any site should ask for feedback when they do something. It helps them improve the site, and get better ideas for the future. |
Sometimes Gaia asks about what users think... other times they just simply don't. Every other time the layout changes, its either 'So, what do you guys think of...?' and they show you what they have planned and they give their users a week or so for feedback... or... on the flip side I've also seen them just go 'Yo, guys. We're changing the layout. Like it or lump it.' -_- Gaia's very bipolar. Some sections of their site are still outdated/don't match up with their layouts.
Events... here versus Gaia...? Actually... pretty close. I can't complain about Gaia's events most of the time. If you have the urge to go out there and collect all the event items... you can! Even the newest of noobs has a shot. It's the same way here. If you're in the mood to go do the event... it's not complicated and it is slightly challenging if you want to get them all... but you should be able to within the time frame of the event, of course. @[email protected] I actually haven't visited Gaia for any major holidays in a while. They skipped Easter than one spring right before zOMG came out and it was a little disappointing... I beta tested for zOMG but then I pretty much gave up on Gaia. Gaia and their feedback survey this time around... were they offering another free item if you did it? xD They like doing that. 'Answer this questionnaire and get stuff!' (Not necessarily site-feedback type stuff, but -) ...is it within Mene's tech base to hand out items in a similar way? (Not that we -need- free stuff like on Gaia... but its rewarding. And if you aren't on during the time frame the question is asked you shouldn't be able to go back and get the item... you'd have to buy/trade with someone to get it.) |
No free items when you completed the survey - I imagined they did this so they could actually get genuine feedback.
I wasn't able to finish the event all the way - but then again, I haven't really had an urge to get all the items either. |
I don't get on Gaia much anymore mainly because of school and mainly because I love to RP and gaia's ZOMG game killed the forums. Menewsha is mainly all forums so I'm gettin gon whenever i can. I couldn't collect nay of the items in gaia's event. but i managed to get all the items on mene. =^-^=

It wasn't just ZOMG - there's a ridiculous amount of spam there because all people care about now or "omg, items!" ._." What happened to discussion? It like no longer exists on Gaia.

I sure hope they actually take advice from the survey given. I mean, people have been complaining about certain things involving the events for years, but never gave a survey to improve. They just began a thread where people would wine, then praise, wine, then praise. They never listened to the bad (overall).
*le sigh* I enjoy their events, but hopefully the events will improve for next year. |
