No in fugi the one where the girls mother dies and her father is a writer but is never home she gets sent into his book and at first she thought he was a girl so she undressed and slept with him to get the fever out, but woke up and it was a guy.

Oh you mean Nuriko! Nuriko is actually a guy, who dresses like a girl. Fushigi Yugi is my fav anime. I read and watched every episode of the series..if you are talking about the Genbuu series, I haven't read any of those.

The characters I posted, they are after the genbuu series...have you seen any of the episodes? A couple of the characters make a come back in the Fushigi Yugi series.

Spoilers:

Tomite, Hikitsu. They appear as ghosts in a couple episodes.

Tatara, Subaru and Tokaki appear as physical beings. Later in the series Tatara gives up his life to save Miaka and later gets reunited with his love Suuzano in a tearful romantic ending.
