Do you ...
While your walking and you see a glint on the road you do go and investigate it thinking it might be change? And if it is, though only a penny; do you pick it up?
Or are you one of those people who feel change isn't worth the energy? If so do you chuck it when you have the chance or let the cashier keep it? Or do you even donate to the many charities that clutter the counter? I will pick up change and keep it. Even for a penny. Money is money is money and it take 100 pennies to make a dollar, and a dollar can get me a drink or something! <33 So I don't get why people don't pick up change when they see it. A lot of them say a Pennie isn't worth the energy, but I beg to differ. |
It depends on my mood. I wont go out of my way to pick something up, and I'll never pick up a penny. If it's a quarter I definitely will, and dimes and nickels just depend how I'm feeling at the moment. xD
I always keep change after I pay for something though. It definitely adds up, when I get twenty I go and exchange it, then I have gas money. :] |
I pick up change! I do throw pennies on the ground every now and then, though. When I was little, I used to love the 'See a penny, pick it up, then all day you'll have good luck!" phrase, and every time I would see a penny I'd pick it up and my day would seem to go better. So, I throw a penny on the ground every now and then in hopes that other kids will find it and feel the same way I used to. So, I don't throw change away because I think it's worthless. |
It's kinda funny. I am the type of person who thinks every penny counts, yet I never pick them up.
I'm just horribly lazy I suppose. I don't even think I would pick up a quarter. That is kind of sad. Perhaps I can try to pick up pennies more often.. |

Trixx: It's probably because I'm insanely lazy, and to me a penny really isn't worth it. Plus, I'd have to carry around a whole bunch of pennies until I could put it into the change container in my boyfriend's car, and I wouldn't feel like doing that at all. xD

I heard of a myth many a times where if it is heads down you pick it up and give it to a friend for good luck. So I pick up all the change I see.

I pick up change because it's a penny, nickle, dime, or quarter more i didn't have in the first place. that and when i'm at work i can find a lot of change when cleaning. i usually end up with a dollar or so.

I like shiny things, so I would go and see what it is. And if it's a really shiny penny, I keep it. If not, I throw it back on the ground =3

I've done it a few times XD, and like, I'll try to kick it, but it won't even move. So I just glare at the coin and leave XD

Both. Anytime when I feel stupid I laugh after I get over the embarrassment. But I roll on the floor when I see it happen to others. Mainly because I know who glued the coin. <3 The stop of my screen doesn't say I have one. o.O |
I am wicked cheap, so if I see any type of money on the floor I pick it up. Bad habit for me. Oo xD Comes with being poor I guess. /Shrug Plus, I love having my change jar nice and filled, makes me feel complete. |
I pick up any change I find, even a penny. It's really lucky to find change on the ground, and I don't scoff at luck. Like you said, a 100 pennies make a dollar. and you can buy a drink for a dollar (oh, a cheeseburger at McDonald's is only like 89 cents!).

I always pick up change I find on the ground, even pennies. To me, it's not even the dollar amount that matters, I think it's the satisfaction of being the first to find it and pick it up. It feels kind of like discovering treasure! Plus I like shiny things.

I would have to say no, even if it is money. To me, a penny just doesn't seem worth it.. especially cause I would have to get a hundred, and I don't have room to collect change.. even if I did, it would disappear, cause my room is like a black hole.. :sweat:
Besides, as you said, if you get enough it'll be enough to buy food.. so some hobo could pick it up, and if he picked up enough he would be able to buy something. :yes: so I'd rather not take that chance away.. (I give money every time I see someone more in need of it than me) |
I used to pick up the pennies but my mom would always get upset and say that it's dirty and makes you look bad.
I pick them up anymore because they really could be dirty.. you don't know where they've been... well that cold be said of all money but at least I didn't pick my money off the ground that a hobo could have peed on... I still will point out money on the ground though :3 |
