Poem: Wish Upon A Star
Wish for forgiveness
Look up at the sky and think of me Staring into the dark dreaming of you Curse the clouds for masking your hope Mockingly the moon stares down on you A thousand wishes a night seems insignificant A dark emptiness looms over you Empty skies is all you get tonight No more lights sparkling back at you Try not to despair for tomorrow comes another night Fall to your knees and scream your anger at nothing Another starless sky is in front of you One is all you need to make it All you need to make your amends So maybe one day you will get your wish Running outside after midnight Hoping the sky will be lit for you this time Twinkling white chances are shining back at you Cry your wish at the havens Praying to unknown gods for your wish to come true Hours later you make it back to your bed Grateful for a starry night Smiling bigger than ever you lay waiting Waiting for that day all the wishing pays off |

Growth
First I'd like to say that all my writing is fictional.
So please take that in consideration. And I'd love to know what you think! Wake up in a different bed every day There's no place that feels like home But I'm not scared Because I'll never fly if I won't spread my wings Innocence a word long lost Beaten out of me and abused But I'm not sad Because even little girls must grow So many razors have marked my flesh Wicked scars telling tales of self-regret But I'm not hurt Because even scars will heal with time Many nights I've been left alone Everybody dumping me like a broken doll But I'm not lonely Because I have you |
This poem is interesting. It shows a lot of feelings to it. Even though you said it was fiction; it just felt so real. Good job and keep up the good work. ;)

Late Night Terrors After the kiss goodnight my worries peak For I know you won't be resting tonight You look at me one last time before exhaustion sets in I lay awake for hours waiting on your demons to show A small tremor runs through your body And I know it has begun With your hand in mine I try to be by your side But your are not even here at all I cover my ears when you start screaming Shouting for your terrors to let you be Not even the autumn rain can drown out your fear Holding you tight I try to take the pain from you But how can I fight what I can not see? After they finally leave you, you wake in my arms The look in your eyes is haunted Clenching you close to me we fall asleep shivering You are safe At least for tonight |
