I just got a 99 Grand Am today for driving around while I'm in college. Had a 95 Chevrolet Lumina that I loved driving but I don't know if it would make the 5 hour drive to the city or if I even want to trust that in the city since one door won't lock and it had quite a few problems last winter.

I'm kind of exited to drive it since it's the first time I've had something with power windows, a car starter, electric seats, speakers that work on both sides of the car, working air conditioning and heat that doesn't take forever. Haha.

Tried using the bus for 2 months but since the only place in the city it won't travel down to is my school, it got too annoying. I'd rather have the car than walk 10 minutes from the bus stop down to my school that's on the waterfront during the winter. Pretty sure I'd end up braking my leg or something by slipping on ice because once the wind comes, the portfolio I have to take turns into a wind sail and drags me around the sidewalk.

So, what kind of car do you drive or do you rely on public transit?

I drive a '96 Lincoln continental.

Never get anything with air shocks for the love of GOD!

If you ever need to switch them to normal shocks (which with this car we had to) kiss your money goodbye!

I have two cars: a 97 Lexux ES 300 and a 03 Chrysler Town and Country van.

as of now im driving my get me anywere 99' explorer sport. though i do miss my 89' ranger. it was yellow and black. we called it the bumblebee. lol. this was way befor tranformers also. then i had a 95' mustang. loved that car, but my mom sold it when i was away. total sadface.

I drive a 2002 Dark Green Toyota Camry... I've been in about 3 accidents and this awesome car has been very strong, dependent, and reliable through it all...kinda like a good boyfriend or girlfriend o.o hehe

The only problem is the cruise control button does not work so when I drive to visit my sister (only 3 hours) I actually have to keep my foot on the gas pedal the whole time, but it's really no biggie at all.

I drive a 2005 Honda Civic. It's going to be paid off in January, so HUZZAH! for that. :XD I love my little car, but I wish it were a bit zippier, and a stick shift. But oh well, such is life. You can't always get what you want... XP

In the past I had three other cars, my first car was a Ford Escort...it got totaled when I swerved to miss a oppussom. lol My second was a Saturn...it got totaled when some idiot hit me...and my last was a Toyota Corolla...it was a tank! We finally sold it to a expecting mom when I got married.

I would say out of those, my fave was my Saturn..even though it was a manual transmission..it drove nice. TT_TT I hate stupid people who wreak my cars.

I don't own a car. BUT I do own a trusty little bike that I peddle ferociously on to get to school and other places.

....and if I need to go anywhere too far my boyfriend has a 2006? (could be 05) Honda Civic that he can chauffeur me around in. :)

I own a 2000 Chrysler Concorde.
It's Cranberry Frost, but the top coat is starting to peel off.
While I was driving home, the collar flew off. The CD player doesn't work. The cigarette lighter doesn't work. It has over 200,000 miles, but I love that car.
It's so roomy. It's huge. It looks like it could eat other cars.
It's like the raptor of the car world.

I drive around a black 99 Mazda B4000, i love my little truck, in fact a truck is the only thing i like to drive plus since i live up in the snowy mountains its a very practical vehical.

i just dont like little cars they make me feel car sick wether im driving or a passenger my future cars with always be trucks :)

I love my car! It is a 06 Monte Carlo and I got it a year ago in 2008, which is the weird thing that it only had 45 miles on it when I got it!. So I got a great deal for it and it has everything in it! I need to give it a name....Any suggestions?

I'm sure quite a few of us drive on this site. And It's not like I'm asking people to tell me that they don't drive... I don't know, I always find that a little annoying when people respond to a thread with "I don't" or something to that effect.

So... for those who DO drive and have a car, what kind of car? Make and Model!

And for those who drive but don't have a car, or anybody who wants to answers this, What kind of car would you want to own if you could?

And do you drive Manual or Automatic?
Or Maybe you own a Scooter or Motorcycle, what kind? Etc...


I own a 1973 Volkswagon Beetle, custom made. I'm the second owner and I HATE IT. It's manual. I really want my dad's 2005 Mini Cooper, before the S class. But the S class has some serious power.

I had a 1995 Mercury Tracer two years ago, but I destroyed the engine TwT That was an automatic.

Or a smart car. Cause I've been reading and doing research on those since I found out about them 3 years ago.

I have a Mazda B3400, V6, I think a 98', pick-up truck. It's an automatic. I like it well enough, though I'm sure I'll like it more once I finish fixing it and get it running again.

I drive my mom's 2005 Jeep Liberty everyday to work. Have yet to get my own car. :/

Got it last year too for my 18th birthday (since the jeep I already had was a hand-me-down from my sister).

I named her Tori-Jean :)
