Jessa nodded and allowed herself to be lead to a seat. She found these hosts to be a most charming bunch. "Yamada.... Yamada... Forgive me, Mr. Yamada but that name rings a bell. It's very familiar... " She began to wonder if the Yamada family had ever attended one of her families elaborate parties. Or if they worked with her parents in some way. She was made to memorize the family names of all her parents co-workers and acquaintances, which was quite the list indeed.

Mariko blushed once again and simply nodded her head unable to speak. In her head she never thought she would blush this much at all, in just one day she blush about 20 times and it wasn't even over. Mari then looked at he ground and whispered, barely audible "I also want to spend more time with you..."

He smiled as a small blush appeared on his cheeks, "I suppose if we're going to the dance we should head home to get changed." He stood and offered her a hand. "I can't wait to see you tonight."

Mariko took his hand and got up "I suppose so..." IN Mariko's mind was dispappointed but it wasn't like she was never gonna see him. "Okay then I'll see you later." Mariko said heading out for home all ready. |

In her bedroom Lyric tossled and curled her hair she wanted to maybe dye it black so she wouldn't look so weird with her bold turqoise colored hair in the end she just put it back in her usual pigtails and just curlced them. Fitting into her dress she was actually quite excited for the party. Dancing would be envolved of which she was not good at. Lyric felt a bit weird wearing a dress that she really never much wore. She wobbled a bit when she walked as she wasn't usued to high heels. Though she still kept a smile on her face. Continuing to look into the mirror Lyic smiled she really truly was excited.Alreadhy, she was humming to herself and twirling about in her room. Though it was a bit small for dancing she lifted the end of her dress and quickly walked down the stairs. It was almost time for the party. ((Her party dress)) |
After Seth escorted Miss Hasu to the door he went to the back and retrieved his things before heading home. Once back in his room he took a quick shower and donned black slacks and a dark emerald green button up, leaving the top open slightly. Carefully he removed his mask from the box, it was the same green as his shirt, a simple shape, just covered the eyes and bridge of the nose, no fancy attachments just a gold spiderweb-like design painted on it.
Arriving back at the school he headed to the room where the dance would be held, the decorations were already done and tables along the walls were waiting for the food that was sending it's delicious fragrant from the attached kitchen. Walking around the room he inspected it making sure everything was in order, the band had already set up and were eating some food before the long party. The large glass doors would allow the setting sun to fill the room with it's beauty. He stepped out of one of those doors to the balcony and looked out at the garden. |
Lyric remembered that she had to wear a mask for the dance. Her eyes scanning her room for a mask that she could use. Nothing in particular came to mind. She didn't even think she had a mask!Slipping off her shoes so she could move a bit more faster and not fall Lyric ran into her closet and removed boxes. Hoping she would find a mask. No luck. SIghing Lyric would have to go buy a new one.
There was only one problem. She didn't know of any staores and she didn't have the money. Lame. An idea came to mind. Her mother did used to have a purple mask. Going back into her boxes she found the box of Mother's Memories the words that were in sharp black marker. Opening the box Lyric found lying on top was the mask. Grinning to herself she slipped it on and waslked for the doo. Sh didn't have car so she would walk. After all school wasn't very far. Picking the dress hems Lyric arrived at the school. Lyric stopped at the front doors and look at the people in there dresses and suits. Lyric felt a little bit poor as hers was just a hand-me-down. Though she still smiled and started to walk inside. |

-- Oh, && thank you for taking care of this while I was away! ]] The mask on her face had been bought a week or two ago at a small boutique she had found in the heart of the small town they lived in. The moment she spotted it, she had known that she had to have it. The dress she wore to accompany it matched it perfectly and for a moment, she wondered if, perhaps, there would be too much "gold". But a look over in her mirror proved a no, and she left the house, driving back to school. Their club room had been turned into an elegant ballroom, and they had opened up much more to allow for their guests to see out into the garden and the fountain there. The decor was also elegant, as, after all, this was supposed to be a "ball" of sorts. Upon arriving, she noticed Seth was there, and walked up, stopped to stand beside him, her mask already placed on her face. "So, are you excited for tonight?" she asked him curiously. |
Seth snapped out of his reverie and turned with a smile, "Yes of course, I even have a partner for my first dance. You look lovely Miss Moriguchi. I suppose I should have dressed up a bit more." He noticed the band had begun to play and people had started to fill the room, no one had quite worked up the courage to dance yet.

"I told you to forget the bow!" scolded Sam as he turned his motorcycle left at the corner.
"Sorry, I really like it though." apologized Charlotte as she kept her arms wrapped tightly around Sam's waist. "Doesn't it go well with my outfit?" The girl had taken her time tying her hair up in an intricate style with a long golden bow. "Hmph." was Sam's reply. The teen slowed his motorcycle down as they approached the front of the school. Charlotte nimbly got off, making sure her dress didn't get snagged by the exhaust pipes. Charlotte's gown was fiery red with golden sashes. Small golden chains were elegantly laced down the upper left side of her dress. Her red mask covered the upper half of her face and had a Saker falcon's design. Several feathers stuck out of the right side of her mask, forming a wing. The left side had small golden rings with small golden chains dangling from them. "All right, I'll go on ahead. See you when you've found a parking spot." said Charlotte as she made her way towards the club room. |
Lyric stayed where the crowds really weren't large. The room was huge. The people pouring in slowly. Few were dancing most just seemed that they didn't have the courage. Walking over to the table filled with dishes and drink. Pouring herself a glass of juice she turned around and watched everyone. Seeing two of the host club members. She walked over to them and greeted them. "Good evening," She smiled taking a sip of the juice.

"That's good," she said with a smile and a nod before turning her attention towards the dance floor. "Sadly, it was so slow at the club that I didn't get a partner. But that's quite alright, I suppose," she said with a shrug of her shoulders as she adjusted the mask on her face as turned to the voice. "Oh good evening Lyric," she said with a curtsy and smiled.

"If you'd like we could share a dance later this evening. Even if no male customers came earlier to ask for a dance I'm sure someone as lovely as you will get asked to dance by many of the other here this evening." Seth turned to the other hostess, "Good evening Miss Lonelyheart, you look stunning."

Lyric smiled and did a curtsy as well. "You look absolutely smashing, Kisa. You too, Seth." She said. Thanking him for the compliment. She had listened to what Kisa said. "Seth is right, don't worry. Nothing to fret over. I know someone will for sure ask you to dance." Lyric smiled. Watching as more and more people started to dance. It was like a music box. Couples twirling all over the place. Lyric just had never seen it with her own eyes.

"Excuse me, do you know where the White Iris Host Club room is?"
The orange haired boy was just getting off his silver vehicle when he heard someone addressing him. He turned around and saw it was a student dressed for the masquerade ball. "Yeah. I know where it's at. I was just on my way there myself. Follow me." he said with a smile. "Really? Thanks." said the strawberry blond. Sam's black costume contrasted the boy's white costume. Sam had a customized black Victorian ensemble with silver and gold, puzzle piece shaped cufflinks and buttons. His mask covered his whole face, save for his left eye. It had a black and gold jigsaw puzzle pattern with the right eye being silver. His companion had an elaborate white buckle jacket with a gothic twist. His plain, white, opera mask only covered the lower half of his face. On his head he wore a top hat with white roses. The two slowly made their way to the center of the midnight festivities for Kuriyami Academy. "My name's Sam by the way." the black clad teen said as they entered the already bustling ball. "Zane." replied the boy in white. He held out his hand to Sam. "Thanks for showing me the way. This is my first time going here even though it's already my second year." "No problem." said Sam as he shook Zane's hand. "I hope you enjoy your time at White Iris." Sam headed off to look for his friends while Zane walked towards the area where some people were dancing. |
Kisa smiled and nodded. "If you have time, Seth," she said with a nod as she curtsied, noting that Sam had walked in with a male she had never seen before. Crossing the room, she came to stand before him. "Good evening, sir," she said with a curtsy and a flattering smile. "Welcome to the White Iris Masquerade Ball," she added.

"Thank you" said Zane, and gave a gentleman's bow to the golden lady. "Are you one of the hosts?" He wasn't sure what to do at the evening gala. It was his first time attending a White Iris event, although he was already in his second year at Kuriyami.

He bowed before the light green [blue green? :sweat:] haired girl in the lovely black chiffon dress. "You guys look great tonight. Any of you planning on dancing?" he said with a smile. [Sorry, would've posted sooner but had to cook dinner :)] |
"Yes, i'm waiting for my first dance partner to arrive. Will you be dancing with Miss Brighart as usual?" Seth's eyes scanned the room in search of Miss Hasu but it seems she hasn't arrived yet, he reluctantly let out a small sigh.

"Looks like I won't tonight." he said grinning. He spotted his dear friend Charlotte by the banquet table surrounded by a few male attendees. No doubt they were her former regulars from the time she was a White Iris host. "Whose your date for tonight?" he said teasingly. "Is it Miss Ayasegawa from last year's ball? Or Miss Rose from this summer's beach festival?"

Seth's eyes returned to his friend, "Neither actually, Miss Hasu has accepted the first dance with me." He couldn't keep the smile off his lips or the color from his cheeks "She's quite fascinating, not like the majority of girls that enter our club doors." Splitting his attention once more, he continued to watch for the young lady.

"Eh? What's this?" said Sam as he put his face in front of Seth's distracted view. "Does the gentleman have a crush?" He straightened up and gave a short whistle. "I wonder who this fair maiden is that seems to have pierced his heart with Cupid's arrow. Must be some lady." he said smiling. It was rare for him to see his friend show this much interest in a girl when he wasn't on host duty. Seth would usually be more collected, and although never mean and always polite, he has often come off as a bit aloof. This has earned him the secret nickname Ice Prince, much to the delight of the female student body.

Seth's face brightened a bit more, "N-no nothing like that. You know as a host to have a significant other would shatter anyone's dream when they are you're with them. I couldn't possibly do something to the ladies like that." His eyes were a bit down heartened but he enjoyed the club and didn't wish to give it up for any reason.

"Relax Seth," Sam said as he whacked the blushing third year on the back in a reassuring way [I don't know how else to put this :sweat:], "While we, as the wonderful hosts of the slightly more wonderful White Iris Host Club, must cater to the innocent dreams of our fellow students we will not remain in this school forever." The orange haired teen smiled. "As Charlotte said, you must learn to give balance to your life. Have some innocent dreams for yourself man, I'm sure you too are a romantic at heart. I think you're sisters made sure of that." he teased. "Same goes for you Lyric." he said, turning to the new host. "Miss Monet made the Host Club out of love to give love and to help people find love even if they don't end up with the hosts. If you fall in love with someone, don't be afraid to chase after them with all your heart, no matter what other people say." He feigned a determined look at the night sky and clenched his fist in determination, blatantly quoting a romance movie he had watched over the summer as his last line. Seth's color started to fade back to it's tanned color. It was refreshing to speak to Sam again after the summer, his straightforwardness and determination weren't something you run into everyday. "Thank you Sam, but I..." He trailed off, a part of him didn't want to admit that he liked this lady and a part of him was afraid of tell her of his attraction and finding she only sees him as a host. Being good at helping others find love doesn't mean finding love yourself is easy.
