Lyric blinked being stunned at what had just been said. "Excuse me?" She excused herself with the blush filling to her cheeks. What did he just say?! Love is not easy for host! Maybe for the customers but not the hosts. Sighing she gulped down the rest of her juice and place the glasss away with the rest of them. Walking to the group. "Sorry..." She breathed. Lyric fixed her bangs so she could see again.

"What's wrong Lyric?" asked Sam after his co-host returned. More students had arrived to the ball, the event had become more lively now. Most of the attendees still stayed off the dance floor, preferring instead to stay with their groups of friends discussing various topics from school to the clothes they would buy over the next week.
However, after the band played a more popular song, the amount of students who wanted to dance increased. |
Lyric smiled. "Nothing. Nothing at all. Why? Is something on my face?" Lyric teased. She turned to the band and watching the other students and hosts turn as well. More and more danced. She could already see some hosts dancing. You could still see a few people including herself not dancing yet but just watching.

So as long as the reason doesn't get unreasonable lol ]] "Yes, sir, I am," she said with a cool grin on her face as she stood straight, looking at Zane with glittering blue eyes. "My name is Kisa Moriguchi," she said with a nod as she shifted her weight a little. "And what shall I call you?" she asked him curiously as she reached out her hand to take his leading him away from the door and into the elegantly decorated room. |
Mariko fumbled the black butterfly mask she was holding as she walked to the entrance of the school. It had taken her forever to find a suitable dress. Her dress fell to the floor hiding her flats and was a deep purple and black gown with lace sleeves ending at her elbows. Her mother's pearl necklace and bracelet covered her neck and left hand. She curled her hair and placed her grandma's jeweled lily hairpin. She was very happy when her grandma came in her room and place it on her hair and told her she looked beautiful. Due to her mask Mariko was forced to wear contacts in which she brought violet contacts to cover her brown eyes.
Mariko placed her mask and walked inside the hall and stood breathless at its beauty. |
Seth turned to see a beauty in purple and black enter the room, a butterfly mask donned across her eyes, it was a different look but he had no doubt it was her. He approached her hand held out his hand, bowing, "May I have this dance?" A slower song had started to play, perfect for his first dance with the lady he fancied.

Mariko heart beated fast when she saw a figure coming toward her and when he spoke she knew it was Seth. She curtsied and smiled when he offered her a dance. She extended her hand took his and said "Of course you may". She followed him to the dance floor, her earrings dangled as she walked. Her curls bounced with each step and with the mask on she felt more confident, she just hoped her clumsiness wouldn't bother her today.

One hand held hers the other sat at her waist, he pulled her close and whispered into her ear, "I never thought you could be more beautiful but every moment I'm with you you prove me wrong." Leading her in the steps he gently twirled with her around the dance floor in time with the music.

Any other day if Mariko heard that she would most likely faint but she just smiled and gave a small laugh "I, thank you" Mariko said after Seth's compliment. She looked at his eyes with her temperately violet eyes giving bright and confident smile "You I can say the same thing to you. You look very handsome this evening as well." she then lowered her voice so that only he could hear "You make my heart beat fast, my handsome prince." Mariko knew that she would never say this else where but not today. She followed Seth's lead enjoying the dance an the moments with him until most likely he would leave her

Grateful for the mask, Seth knew he was blushing a cherry red. He'd been a member of the host club for 2 years and this one girl had make him speechless. As a host he thought he should remain free for the ladies to all partake in him but these emotions bubbling in him were a new experience that he wanted to explore. "All of my previous customers would follow me relentlessly, wishing to be at my side simply to raise their social status in the school's social circles. But you, Mariko, wandered in like a nervous kitten looking for a place to call home. With a couple hours of conversation I find myself wanting to know more. You call forth things in me that I've not felt for another before. I don't know what to call it and I wish to explore it but I do not wish to make you uncomfortable in any way and if you wish to not see me again after this night I would understand." The music ended as well as the dance. Seth's eyes couldn't meet hers as he hoped for an answer in his favor.

Mari blushed slightly and smiled."Yes, I know you too give me new feelings Seth. Although your the first person i've talk to for more than 5 mins in over 2 years."Her smile faded with the music. She saw him turn away. "Don't worry I understand what your saying. IF we were to become something the fact that your a host will sort of make things awkward." She reached her hand and and gently touched his cheek and turned his face "I understand if you dont want to leave the White Iris, but weather your in it or not if your questioning on whether or not I like you. Dont worry I do, not because your a host but because your you. I understand if you wont see me after but never the other way around remember I came to you." Mari said staring into Seth's eyes tenderly.

He stared into her normally brown eyes for just a moment or two before closing the space and gently kissing her. He knew some of his faithful customers would be broken hearted but this time he would listen to Sam's advice, though just this once, and pursue his own happiness. He released his hold of his maiden's kiss and stepped back a half step, realizing most of the dancing and conversations had stopped to see the event.

Mari's eyes went wide as she felt seth's lips on hers. She blanked out and was almost fainting she did not see that coming she thought for sure a rejection. She Fell forward and leaned on him. SHe felt extremly hot from the blushing and felt eyes on them. "Ca...Can we go outside for awhile?" Mariko studdered to Seth, she wanted fresh air.

Seth smiled a bit, making sure to support her as she leaned against him, "Whatever you desire." He gently picked her up princess style, making sure her dress wasn't going to get caught on him anywhere, and took her to the balcony. Carefully he set her on the bench and once he was sure she was steady in her seat he sat next to her. He could hear a bit of an uproar inside and started to wonder if maybe he'd gone a bit too far. "Are you feeling alright? Maybe I shouldn't have done all of that."

Mariko gasped as Seth picked her up. SHe placed her hands on her cheeks and then thought of many stupid questions that a girl would ask like was she heavy, blah blah blah. She could smell Seth's scent and smiled. She sat on the bench and calmed down with the air. "No im fine just surprised I never imagined that to happen." She looked down and fiddled with her fingers reverting back to her shy normal self and whispered "That was my first kiss..." and suddenly remembering the feeling she turned red again unable to look at Seth.

Gently he took her hands and brought then to his lips, "It was mine as well." To be so forward was out of character for Seth. It was refreshing to show sides of him that weren't for the sake of the host club and he was sure he'd get an ear full of various types from the other hosts. "The dance will be over in a couple hours, may I ask for another dance?"

She looked at him in wonder as he kissed her hands. She smiled brightly finding out that it was his first kiss as well she imagine because he was a host he was use to it but she guess not. She stood in front of him "Of course I will dance with you." Mariko kissed his cheek and then took let go of one hand and still held on to the other and took him to the dance floor.

Seth hugged her from behind, stopping them on the way to the dance floor, "Dear fair maiden with the sweetest of lips, just one of thy smiles is enough to capture my heart a hundred times over." The current song was a couple's slow song, placing her hands on his shoulders, he wrapped his arms around her waist and swayed gently to the music.

"No, not at all." The orange haired teen said as he looked at the girl's face. Suddenly Seth started moving towards someone. It was a girl with a black butterfly mask. He smiled, knowing it was probably the girl Seth liked. As the music changed, Sam turned to Lyric.
"Looks like everyone's starting to have fun." he said, "Would you like to dance?" __________________________________________________ ____________________- "Oh, my name is Zane. Zane Lerato." the strawberry blond replied as he let the hostess lead him. He moved his mask down so that it rested around his neck. "It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Kisa." He looked around the brilliant room. The decorations were elaborate and the flowers and students' perfumes filled the room with a wonderful scent. So this was why his friends urged him to attend this year's ball. He never would have guessed that this was what the White Iris did. He had always thought it was a club about tea parties. "This is my first time coming to a White Iris event. I'm not quite sure what to do." he said with a smile, a little embarassed at his newbie status. _____________________________________- "Oh really? Well thank you!" Charlotte laughed at the compliment given to her. She elegantly took a sip from her glass as she continued to listen to the boys around her. Being surrounded by boys like this has brought back many wonderful memories of when she was still in White Iris. She looked around the room at the masked students and at her friends. She would truly miss this place once she left for college. She took another sip of her drink and smiled as her fans asked her to dance with them. |
Kisa nodded. "The White Iris Club hosts a number of different events during the school year. For the beginning of the year event, we decided to host a ball. Hosts from the club are here to do as they usually do during club hours... Entertain guests and fulfill desires," she explained with a smile on her face as she looked around the room.
"Most hosts are dancing with regular customers that come to our club," she explained, indicating towards people who were dancing. She then turned to look at Zane. "There's no right or wrong thing to do when coming to an event. You get out of it what you want to get out of it," she said with a wink of her eye and smiled. "So, can I do anything for you, Zane?" she asked him curiously. |

"Ah, well. If it's not too much to ask Miss Kisa.." Zane began as he looked into the hostess' dazzling brown eyes, "Would you dance with me?"
He stopped walking but continued to hold Kisa's hand. "I've seen you around the school before. You're pretty cool. I never thought I'd meet you as soon as I walked in." |
Kisa grinned. "Lucky you, then," she commented with a small chuckle as she curtsied. "I would love to dance," she said with a nod of her head as she lead Zane to the dance floor, placing a hand on his shoulder and the other in his hand -- the typical formal dance position. "You'll lead, I would assume," she said as she looked up into his eyes and waited for him to move so she could follow.

"I'm afraid I'm only good at the waltz." he said as he placed a hand on her waist and held her hand up with the other. Slowly he led her around the ballroom as the mellow music played. Gracefully they danced between the other students, some where also dancing the waltz. "I must say, you're quite a good dancer." he said with a smile.

Mariko smiled and thought god he has a way with words. She follows his steps in the dance focusing only on him the world blocked. "And thy sweet words fill my heart with joy and once again you make it yours, my prince."
