He smiled, wishing the night wouldn't end because in the morning he'd wonder if it's just a dream. Swaying with the music he leaned next to her ear, "I hope this dream-like night is more then just a dream, soon we'll have to part, but for now I hope it lasts to the end of time." Hugging her tightly, a small sigh escaped his lips.

Mariko simply nodded She didn't want to ruin the moment. She just wanted the both of them to stay together that night. She laid her head on Seth's chest as he hugged her. Mariko liked smelling Seth as weird as that sounded. She couldn't quite place what he smelled of that made his scent attractive.

The dance would end soon, he would offer her a ride home at the time. If accepted he'd walk her to the door and kiss her goodnight, then head back to his own place.

Mariko looked at the clock and saw the time she had promised her grandparents that she was going to be in before midnight and it was about to be midnight already. She didn't want it to end but every thing has to end. She sigh and told Seth that she needed to go home already and that she would be seeing him the next day. She kissed him good bye and left the hall, not seeing whether or not he was following. She removed her mask letting her face feel the fresh air again out side she looked at the moon and the stars and smiled and gazed at them for a while, letting the moonlight being the only light hitting her. |
Kisa grinned. It was the only dance she knew the steps to perfectly, for her parents would only have it that way. Moving along with Zane, she noted their movements were perfectly in time, gently moving in smooth currents around the dance floor, she allowed her mind to lose itself to the spins and twirls, the music that floated through her ears.
"You are too," she said reassuringly as they continued to move. |
Zane gave a light laugh as they continued to dance. They danced the waltz even though the music changed. If the beat got faster they would just add some flare to the dance. For a brief moment though, most of the people around them had stopped to look at a brown haired boy and black haired girl who had kissed. After the pair moved out of sight onto the balcony, everybody resumed dancing.
"So Miss Kisa, how long have you been a host?" asked the white clad boy as he spun the golden gowned maiden around. |
Kisa was satisfied with the dance. She was lucky to have such a talented dancer as Zane was for he was the one leading, and although she was following, it would seem that the two had been dancing with one another for years, for their moves were almost perfectly in time with one another.
"This is my second year being a hostess at this club. It's easy to get used to the pattern of guests..." she said before retreating to her thoughts... The pattern of being loved and adored... And yet, there is the pattern of my inability to find love... I can be loved for the way I look and act... But not for me... she thought as she turned her eyes away from Zane for a moment before looking back up at him. She was supposed to be the cool one. Regaining her composure, she grinned a little, her eyes glittering up at him. "So, are you enjoying yourself so far?" she asked him curiously. |
"Yes, I am." he said with a smile. It was true, this ball was truly fabulous to him, especially since he was dancing with the girl he admired during his first year. Although most of the students on the ballroom floor had gone off to get refreshments, the Zane remained with Kisa and the few other dancers left, enjoying the music and his partner's company. "How did you become a White Iris host?" he asked as they moved behind another couple dancing.

Kisa smiled, happy that Zane was enjoying himself at the ball. As they danced, they made small talk, and she was happy to oblige him with an answer. "Hm... How, you ask? Well, I happened to stumble upon the Host Club back in my first year here... I thought it was interesting, and ended up filling out an application form for a spot... And here I am," she said with a shrug of her shoulders as they continued to dance to the end of the song. She broke away from him, curtsying, before motioning to refreshments. "Are you thirsty at all?" she asked him, indicating towards the table that held the drinks for the party. As they moved towards it, she fixed her mask a little. "How is it that I've never seen you around the club?" she asked him.

He Walked into the club, a scarlet flush across his face. His eyes scanned the room as his eyes widened. So many people were in masks and he had forgotten entirely that it was supposed to be the masquerade ball. He groaned inwardly and walked in sitting himself down at a table hiding his face hoping that nobody would see him. His ears twitched every so often, he pulled his hood up to cover them.

"Sure." Zane said in acceptance of her offer.
As they moved towards the refreshment table, he noticed a boy with white hair walk in to the clubroom. The newcomer was Jared Kurosaki, a second year like himself. He had known the cat-eared boy from his previous year at Kuriyami, having been in one class with him. Although they had been classmates in their first year, Zane never actually spoke with or got to know the outgoing Jared. People with animal ears weren't unheard of in the world, but they were quite uncommon which was one of the reasons most of their classmates would surround Jared during recess and lunch. Returning his attention to his host and pouring her a glass of punch, he replied,"I had always thought that this club was more about holding formal tea ceremonies or something of the sort. Most of my friends have been talking about it last year though, always asking me to come and see White Iris. Truthfully, I didn't see a reason why but I guess I finally gave in to their pleas over the summer." He smiled as he handed Kisa the glass and began filling one for himself. |
He shyly walked over to the table where the boy who knew was named Zane sat at. He had seen Zane in his first period class all of last year but never really got to know the boy with all the partying and things he had been doing at the time before he had his heart torn out and crushed by a deceiving, wicked girl.
He bowed his head a little bit a smile played across his pale features as he reached out his hand careful not to disturb the girl sitting across from Zane. "Hi there, I'm Jared. Nice to meet you." |
after awhile mariko left home. She yawned as soon as she got home and went straight to bed leaving every thing on not caring she never had such a exciting day in her life so far.

Zane looked at the cat-eared boy in surprise. "Hello, I'm Zane. Pleasure to meet you too. Although, we were classmates last year weren't we? How have you been?" he smiled as he shook the boy's hand. "This is Miss Kisa Moriguchi, by the way." Zane said, introducing his lady companion. "She's a member of the White Iris Host Club." |
She laughed a little as they moved to the table. "Well, as you can see, that's not all that we do," she said with a shrug of her shoulders as she noticed a boy who moved to the table. The hood he wore covered what looked like cat ears, and her interest instantly sparked, though she would never say anything. "Jared, is it? Nice to meet you," she said as she reached out her hand to shake his before taking another sip of her drink.
"Are you enjoying yourself so far?" she asked the boy curiously, although she could tell that he hadn't been there for long. She also noted that he wasn't wearing a mask and she smiled, excusing herself a moment. In the back room, there were masks that were kept just for this occasion, and she took a black one out and returned, holding the mask out. "Here you go," she said with a smile. |

'Thwaang' Another arrow hit it's target, Seth went out to retrieve them. His thoughts drifted to the dance, his fingers to his lips as a light blush colored his cheeks. Never had he thought he would find someone he cared about on the first day of school and he couldn't wait to see her again. The bell rang in his ears, signalling the end of classes for the day and the start of club activities. Putting his bow and arrows away, Seth headed for the club room.
Entering the room and flicking on the lights, he noted he was the first to arrive. Putting his things in the back, he started to brew some tea and placed out some snacks. ((Ok.... it's been forever so I'm pushing forward!!! Got a problem? directed it to Mon chan and she can yell at me =3)) |
"Hey Seth." Sam said, making his way towards the back storage room. He entered the clubroom after Seth set out the food for that afternoon. The orange haired teen seemed like he was in a hurry today as he stuffed his bag haphazardly into the cabinet. Barely closing the closet door, Sam turned back towards the entrance. "Be right back," he told the archery student, grabbing one of the cookies from the glass triple-decker plate and taking a bite before disappearing out the door with it.

Seth stared at the door as it shut behind the other host. Sam had come and gone like the wind, but he said he would be back. The kettle let out a high pitch whistle and Seth turned off the stove. Taking the tea to the table, clicking on some light music on the way, he poured himself a cup and waited for others to arrive.

Mariko fell asleep during class and was woken up by the bell. She quickly got up and when she looked up the teacher was their. He scolded her and then let her off. She went to the restroom to fix her hair that was a mess. She placed it in two braids and was off to the Host club. Once again she stopped in front of the door unable to go inside. She thought about the dance and blushed fiercely her glasses fogging up. She took awhile to calm down and finally went inside as she fixed her glasses. She noticed that nobody was here but she heard a tea pot.... "Hello?" Mari said aloud

Seth nearly dropped his tea when he heard the voice. Standing, his head appeared over a vase of roses were he could see the door. A smile spread on his lips, "Mariko, would you like some tea?"

Mariko felt her heart jump out when Seth appeared over the the roses. She calmed down and nodded and walked towards him. and sat down next to him "Hello... How are you today?" Mariko asked softly fiddling with her fingers

After about ten minutes, Sam was quickly running back to the clubroom doors. He clutched a flier tightly in one hand.
"Ok, you gotta see this Se-" He came to a screeching halt after entering the room. There was a black haired girl talking to his club mate. "Oh hey, you're Seth's girl right? I remember you from the masquerade party last week. Good to see you again." The Beginning of the Year Masquerade Ball was a smashing success this year. The fireworks display was brand new and the teen enjoyed the company of his friends. Too bad Charlotte had to leave early. She had to take a college entrance exam in the morning. |
Seth poured a cup of tea for her as she sat, placing it in front of her. "I'm good, and yourself? Your cheeks are a bit flush, have you caught a fever perhaps?" He had moved closer as he talked, placing the back of his hand to her forehead.
Interrupted by the other host, he blushed a bit and moved back to his seat. "See what Sam?" |
Feeling seth's hand on her head only made her more hotter. "no im fine just you know a little embarrassed..." She looked up to see Sam she turned even redder when she heard him say 'seth's girl' she nodded her head "Yes its nice to see you again. this is probably our first time speaking directly. Hello my name is Mariko." Mari told Sam.
