Chinese version of GAIA

I went to Celainia's avatar site list after few months not checking around, they added a new section. International.
Interested, I click all the links and found out this website.

gonline.com

When I saw Becky in front, I thought I was seeing advertisement, and was thinking, 'wow, english website makes their way to chinese market.'

Then, I notice the name(translation : Gaia's Sky/Universe), and the icon... that is so like... GAIA!

So I went to their shop, and oh migosh! the items I see are also from Gaia. Even the NPC has the shadow of Gaia.
gonline.com/gaia/shopping.php -> the shop link.

There are a few shops only, though. The names of the shop is different.
They have, Moira, shop name is Lollipop House.
Edmund, D&M.
Liam, Sun Never Dies. *LOL!*
Ian, 2039.
and the only NPCs that I think is original...
Miyi and Mixi, Wing of Twilight.

The register page looks so much like old gaia. But I didn't register it, in case... it is not genuine.
So, am I the slowest to notice the existance of this website?

Sizzla 11-13-2009 03:51 PM

I heard about this a couple of months ago. It's Gaia's sister site.

A lot of U.S. Gaians signed up not long ago and have mobbed the site, so there's no way I'm going over there... Plus, I don't speak Chinese, and I'm far too lazy to translate everything. XD

Sen Lee 11-13-2009 04:12 PM

Neat. o_o They have better art for the Chinese site. >_>;;

CK 11-14-2009 12:58 AM

I wish very much that I knew more than a few words written in pinyin. I would like to try the Chinese version, but without being able to speak the language or understand enough of it to make even a generated translation make a decent amount of sense, I'd feel disrespectful to their community.

xuvrette 11-14-2009 05:15 AM

...heh... So it is genuine? Not hacker/scam stuff?
I like the way they integrate Chinese's avatar gameplay into Gaia. Wonder if there are badges to earn.

Yayness, going to join when I am free~~ <33 Maybe they will celebrate Chinese New Year next year for a change.

Princesse 11-14-2009 06:14 AM

Someone posted this on Gaia while I was being bored and browsing there one day.
I can only read a few of the characters, but I think it is quite genuine. It could be "linked" to Gaia.

PhantomLolita 11-14-2009 08:16 AM

After looking at the main page, I've determined that Gaia needs to take some features from it's "sister" site. It looks so much better than Gaia, too bad I don't speak/understand any Chinese.

Sephiroth 11-14-2009 02:02 PM

I first found out about it on Gaia when browsing the Q&A. Someone was asking for the registration code, which was in Chinese...but for some reason I doubt he was being completely truthful about it as I've never seen any kind of registration code online that was in Chinese. But still, that was when I first found out there was actually a Chinese version of the site.

Won't be joining it though, one Gaia was enough for me. :P

xuvrette 11-14-2009 03:50 PM

heh, I am really late to know that site then. XD *shy*

Wow~ I am gonna get a lot of their gowns...

Sen Lee 11-15-2009 09:02 AM

*looks at gowns in question*

...

It figures that the Asian site has better swag. The art is better, they have some kick ass things to wear... *tips over* Stupid Gaia...

lightkanna 11-24-2009 04:51 AM

It is nothing special. I heard this a while back when I was surfing on Gaia forums and this one guy was praising it. If you love it so much join, I can't even read it so I wouldn't even join. Even if they are different and makes you think of old Gaia it is just the same thing but different language. =/

Arikana 11-24-2009 05:28 AM

I'm speechless, and somewhat amazed. owo;

And I can't think of anything else to say to comment on this.. D:

Rinoa Smith 12-03-2009 10:27 PM

I found it on accident. Don't remember how. v_v Frankly, it frightens me. I registered but never played. Please excuse my nakedness. D:

Edit: Wait, I think I'm thinking of something else. o_O;; Sorry.

Angel Spirit Girl 12-04-2009 02:10 PM

I'm thinking of joining there.

I like the peach hat.

Risque 12-18-2009 05:53 AM

I knew enough Chinese to sign up! Go meeeeeee, or should I say, Go Gaia lolololol /shot

EDIT: I love how a lot of the people there dress their avatars both trendy and realistically.

sailor star rainbow 12-27-2009 06:31 PM

I used the link form the first post in here to take a look at it. boy was I ever shock by how it look gaia and the great art work they have. but I would not join since I don't know any Chinese at all. if make a Japaneses sister site then I will join.

Imaginative Sarah 01-19-2010 07:01 AM

Yeah...ive seen some games in other languages i wanted to play but couldn't D:< come on English speaking people make more stuff XD lol =3 & oh yeah i saw that site before wow....Chinese people must be happy for that hahaaaa....well too bad i don't know Chinese even though its sort of the same thing it might be different...a bit...the people might be nicer...maybe... haa

LaVida 01-26-2010 09:43 PM

lol, wow, that's new to me, I kind of ditched Gaia a while back, but then I was like, wow, Gaia finally got ripped off too XD

There's, like, a ton of games that gets ripped off by chinese websites XD because that's the way they earn money XD

raine dragon 01-28-2010 05:42 AM

Gaia didn't get ripped off... are you kidding? I'm pretty sure gaia was or is being paid handsomely in royalties/licensing fees. XD;

BlissfulBunny 03-03-2010 02:18 AM

I just checked it out.
And yeah, even all the clothes are the same. =)

koromyst 03-04-2010 03:24 AM

Neat. The site has wonderful attracting colours.
Too bad I don't know chinese or else I would have signed up (T^T)

Veiss Wynd 03-13-2010 03:59 AM

I signed up for it a good couple months ago, and occasionally I get promotional emails from them about event, but I can't find it in me to get into it.
I do like their art and colors. Their version of items are pretty neat.

Lotus Blade 03-13-2010 03:28 PM

Eh?! Wow, well I can speak chinese but I can't read or write any characters to save my life. Parents neglected to instill it in me when I was young...don't want to learn it now ><

xuvrette 03-13-2010 06:00 PM

That would be a pity. Lotus Blade, Chinese is better learn young then when you are older... DX
it helps with when you learn Japanese... since they share the similar word system.

I know some of my friends that can speak cantonese, chinese but cannot read or write. somehow pity them.

Veiss Wynd 03-15-2010 03:58 AM

Learning to read and write it is actually not so bad, even when older. I took Mandarin for 4 years in high school. Fun class.
xD Sure as hell isn't enough to help with this site, but it's fun to run into characters you can read, and small phrases you can catch on.
