Santo turned around, leaned against a near by wall and said, "Yeah she got into a fight with another Were. It was over territory and the other one did a number on her. Rain got us to the hospital but the dumb fucking doctor gave her the wrong blood. She lost an eye and she was bit pretty badly on her mid rift. She should be okay but it's going to take a while for her to heal. She needs us to check on her and change the bandages daily. If your Hal she might not mind you helping. I've heard a little bit about you and it seems she knows you better than the rest of us. I don't mind helping if you can't though. I've had practice at bandaging people up." He gave the whole slew just in case this was Hal. It seemed Kitty was friends with him and Santo only felt it right to let the man know what had happened.

Feeling slightly better, Rain took the stairs down two at a time to find Santo.
He must be outside, cleaning the car already. She took the turns through the rooms and found Santo. "Hey, Santo..." Santo was talking to a shadowed figure. Was he another tenant? Or one of Kitty's friends or something? If she had her katana, she'd walk in there without a glance... But that was one of the things she'd forgotten when she left her family in Japan. |
Hal whistled lowly. "She's still such a firecracker...she'd be better if she acted her age..." He pulled his hair toger in the back and slung it over his shoulder. "Guess it's time to play Nurse Hal again," h said sarcastically. Almost through Kitty's apartment door, he turned back, "Yeah, I'm Hal...I live on the fourth floor. Come by and fake being my lover if you ever hear me or anyone else screaming 'Go away Mochi!'"

Fake being his lover? That was definitely an odd request. Santo just gave a shrug as the man walked off. He heard Rain and turned to her. "Hey, you feeling better now that you're all cleaned up?" he asked her.

"Yes. Very much so. Have you cleaned the car? We could do it together."
Hal asked Santo to fake being his lover? He's gay. I'm bisexual. That makes two. I wonder if Santo...? He doesn't act like it. Rain shook her hair out a ways away from Santo, and turned back to him. "Ready?" |
He was going to tell her it was fine if she wanted to relax but it seemed she really did want to help. He said to her, "Yeah Hal just showed me where the cleaning supplies were so I've got an arm load here." He pushed the door open and held it open with his body so Rain could come out.

She walked through the door, and then held it open for him to get through.
"Need help?" She placed her hands infront of her, ready to take whatever he would give her to hold. |
He gave her a few of the cleaning supplies and walked out to the car. First thing he did was open all the doors to help air it out. He looked around and luckily it wasn't as bad as he thought. "You got some luck girl the blood isn't as bad as I thought," he said to her as he began to clean out the blood.

Rain pulled out her laptop and disinfected that, and threw it into the passenger seat.
"Yeah, I guess." She began cleaning with Santo, occasionally stopping and looking at the nature around them. "Santo... How old are you?" She'd been wondering for a while now, and had gotten pretty curious about his life. |
Santo had been a tad lost in thought and almost didn't catch her question. He gave a smile and a laugh as he kept cleaning. He said, "Isn't that a question you're not suppose to ask . . or is that only for women?" He gave her a wink letting her know he was teasing. He did find it odd how women had little rules about such things.

Rain giggled.
"Women over-react. I swear. Its always 'I'm old' or 'I'm fat' or something. As for me, I'm turning twenty in two days." |
"Well congratulations. I should be around but if I'm not happy birthday," he said not knowing for certain what would transpire in two days. He gave a soft laugh and replied,"Perhaps I am a tad feminine then since I tend to worry about my appearance a little too much. I'm a bit older than you then. I'm twenty-four." He finished cleaning one blood spot and moved to another. Luckily it wouldn't take long to clean it up.

Four years...
"Thank you. Hopefully you'll still be around." She sighed and began humming to herself, cleaning the blood spots and pushing everything in the car to one side. |
Hal sauntered into Kitty's bedroom and huffed at her sleeping self. "Always causing me problems aren't ya?" He said aloud and sat on the edge of the bed. He sort of itched for a vodka but knew he was nearly an alcoholic...Damn Mochi... If that guy would screw off maybe he'd be less desirous of drowning himself... Looking down he saw that Kitty's side looked a bit bloody through the bandages already and he stood to gather some bandages in the first aid kit hidden under her bathroom sink.
Hal was careful not to jar her as he unraveled the bandage, and tsked when he saw the extent of the wounds. He cleaned it up again--eliciting a jerk from Kitty but she remained asleep, or at least, it seemed that way-- and covered it with the fresh bandages. After tying it off, he washed his hands and simply leaned against the wall, watching Kitty for any signs of nightmare-induced stress. |
"Maybe all of us could have a little party or some such," he said to her. He finished the back seat on his side. He stood up and pulled a black hair band out of his pocket and threw his hair in a messy pony tail. He would have to go inside and fix up his hair when they finished.

"That would be nice."
Rain really didn't know what to say next. She thought of something to say, anything.. "Your hair's really shiny," she blurted out, and immediately blushed. "I m-mean... uh.. it's.. uh.." She glanced at him, then looked away quickly. |
Santo burst out laughing at her last comment unable to help himself. Once he had calmed down a bit he said to her, "Sorry but I was just thinking how bad it looked. I really need to take care of it once we're done. . which is pretty close." The car was looking as good as it was going to. They had gotten most of the blood out and cleaned it up pretty good.

"Haha..."
He thought it was funny? Er, okay.. "Thanks with the car. I really appreciate it." Still blushing, she closed the car doors and then picked up her supplies. "Oh, damnit! I locked the keys in the car." I never think do straight around the guy.. |
"No problem Rain," he said to her just as she locked the keys in the car. He really didn't want to show off his unfavorable skills like being able to get into her car without a key. He decided paying someone to open it was better than letting these new people know too much about him. He said to her, " That sucks. If you grab a phone book we can call a locksmith. I'll pay for it so you won't have to worry about it."

Rain didn't hear him and began checking her pockets for a hairpin. Anything with a small end would do..
"Do you have a hair clip? A bobby pin or something of the sort? Safety pins? Even a screwdriver would work, if it's small enough.." She'd learned a lot of tricks in her years, and might as well put them to work. |
"No I don't sorry. Just use hair bands for a pony. They have metal hangers inside that might work if you want to jig it open yourself," he said to her. Rain shouldn't have to know something like this but she was lucky she had an older car. Newer model cars were more difficult to jig open and if it wasn't done right would leave marks. "I'm gonna take this stuff inside k. If you change your mind about the locksmith let me know," he said to her before walking back inside. He put the cleaning supplies back were he had gotten them.

She watched Santo walk away, and sighed.
"Found it!" She pushed the bobbypin into the lock, and after a minute or so... Bingo! She got her keys and closed the door, pressing the lock button, and then followed Santo inside. Just as she was at the top step, she tripped and fell, messing up her ankle and gaining a scratch along her face. She limped to the nearest mirror and took a look at herself. The scratch would be there for a while. Sighing, she limped up to Santo's room and knocked on the door. |
((Santo isn't in his room. He's in the studio area putting supplies away.))

Was Santo not in his room? She grumbled to herself, and limped once more up to her room. She threw open the door, and leaving it open, sat on the bed and opened her luggage. She grabbed the Neosporin PainReliever + and rubbed it along the scratch. She found some gauze and pressed it against the wound, from a half inch below her eye, running diagonally down to the bottom of her cheek. |
Santo put the last of the cleaning supplies away and stretched. He wondered if Rain had gotten the car door open. He went outside and didn't see her anywhere. He went up to the third floor and saw her door open. He went to the door way and noticed her patching herself up. "Opening a car door that difficult," he said teasingly. He didn't just like barging into people's rooms. "Is it okay if I come in and take a look at that," he asked her in a serious voice now.
