Strange things your pets do..
My cat trys to open up my boy's bed room door if it is shut. Seriously, she will jump up on the door and try to open the door up with her kitty paws. Her name is Gracie and she is a lil kitten, she will bat the door knob like she can actually turn the door. lol
What are some strange or funny things that your pets do? |
My puppy Ginger is silly. :P
She never eats Beggin Strips. She just hides them and then eventually when I'm picking up I find a stash of them. O.o; I'm not buying any more. They get all hard and impossible to eat... Also every time I feed her she first takes one kibble from the bowl and hides it in the bedroom before eating. XD I have no idea why...I guess a snack for later. Also she will bark her head off at other dogs and act like she's big and tough (she's a maltese/poodle...) but then when she actually is close to the dog she's hiding behind me. :/ We take her to dog parks all the time but she won't play with the other dogs.. |
Once everyone gets home from work, my mom's tortoiseshell cat, Nutmeg, will insist that Mom pick her up. Once Mom does this, Nutmeg will have little "conversations" (she makes all sorts of mews and chirping noises) with my dad. Which is adorable. But she won't have conversations with me. Just my dad, at least when she's in my mom's arms. Nobody can figure out why.
She will talk to me when she wants a game, though. We all have our roles. I pull string for her, Mom cuddles her, and Papa talks to her. |
My dog, Rudy, will lick your pants. I don't know why, but he does.
My hedgehog, Nepolean, will foam at the mouth if anything smells weird to him. I think it's hilarious when I have company over. |
Oooooh boy, his will be a long one.
First, there is Bailey, the strangest little mutt I know. She is a poodle/schnauzer/something mix and the most hilarious little puffball you'd ever see. She makes all kinds of funny grunting noises at everything! you could be petting her, picking her up, talking to her, even just looking at her will make her go into these little grunt fits. Then there's the fact that she will come to anything you call, as long as it's two or four syllables. The most common are : Bailey Bailey, Fuzzy sausage, Fishy Fishy, Fuzzy Fishy, Abbey (the other dog's name) and Reject XD She also tends to think she is a cat. She plays like a cat, tries to purr and perches on the furniture. On the other hand, there is a rather large and cruel tortoiseshell cat that is bigger than her. She is terrified of this cat, and the cat knows it. The cat will wait around a corner of the hall for Bailey to run around, then pounce at her as she zooms by. The dog now whines for someone to walk the hall with her at night. I might add the others later, I'm too tired to type. |
My cat:
When I Whistle she tries to get me silent by touching me with her paw on my arm. XD and when I get her some candy, she goes to sit in front of me, and when I trow them at her, she tries to catch them. XD |
I had a cat named Purrman, and he could talk. He was able to pronounce phrases like "Now" "Right Now" "You Coming" and "I want you"
|
Gracie also likes to give you kisses. =D
|
my bathroom door never shut properly because the lock was busted for a long time. My cat would sit there and paw at the door until it gave and opened O___o So you'd be in the shower and the door would "randomly" open on you.
She also kind of got skitso in her old age. You could be sitting and petting her and she'd be purring all happy and content and then in the drop of a dime (even though you hadn't changed anything) she'd hiss and try and bite you before running away O__o She'd steal our socks too. If you left them out anywhere (mind you I'm talking clean socks that you bunch the pairs up) she'd grab them, bring them down to the living room and then sit and howl until someone came and took them away. |
My dog Daisy (bischon-frise/poodle mix) will sit like a human being. With her front paws in front of her, and on her butt, with her back legs outstretched.
She barks at smaller dogs and chase them, she's also very bossy with them. But when it comes to big doors, she runs to you and jumps on you, desperately begging you to pick her up and "save" her. When she's itchy, she rolls on her back and scratches her head on the carpet. Most times she does it for attention because she knows that she looks like a bunny. When her butt is itchy, she will sit like a human on the carpet, and drag her butt forward. It's hilarious. When it's feeding time, she plays soccer with her kibble. She's so cute when she's pawing at the carpet trying to get the kibble that went under it, and then she "throws" it in the air again with her mouth -- only to chase it and finally eat it. With other foods, she eats on the carpet. For some reason, unless she's eating meat (no bones) that doesn't need much chewing, she cannot eat on tiles or wooden floors and prefers the carpet. I don't know if all dogs do this, but Daisy likes to lick everything clean like a cat. The carpet's dirty...she'll lick it. Your hands need washing? She'll lick it. She jumps on your bed and decides your bedsheets isn't clean enough...she'll lick it. And she goes at it for several minutes. When it comes to bath-time, she hides behind the couch when she hears the water. My mom has to move the couch and catch her to put her in the bath tub. After the bath, she zooms out of there and acts like a crazy maniac -- running back and forth between the house and the backyard for no reason other than to dry up. If that fails, she lays down on the pool chairs and catches a tan XD Daisy is also sexist, she prefers to spend time with my grandmother watching soap operas on the bed, or with my mom watching her work, or with me in my room watching TV than with my brother or stepdad =P She leaves alot of her chew toys in the living room floor, so I often trip on them sometimes, one time I was gone from my room for 15 minutes, just drinking water and talking to my brother only to come back and trip on her doggy bone. She was hiding food in my room lmao. Our entire family swears that she's not a dog and thinks she's human. Although she cannot talk, she understands alot of what we say -- if we poke fun at her weight, she'll get depressed. If we think she's cute, she'll do all sorts of crazy things to make you laugh and play with her. If she's tired from walking alot/hiking up the mountains, she'll sit down on her butt and request you pick her up. She will wait for you to take her out walking, sometimes we have busy schedules and couldn't take her out walking until an hour later, it's amazing how she could hold "it" in and refuses to touch our yard when it comes to peeing/pooping. |
My pets...
My cat Willow, he can open tupper ware containers, doors if he hits them hard enough, and "knocks" on doors in his own little way. Haha. My cat Merlyn, tears up important papers. Not lame, no good papers. Only the important ones. My cat Attila, will lift up her foot to have you pick her up, steal your heater, and has about 4 blankets all to her own that she doesn't like moved. My cat Endora huffs. Kind of like she's loosing steam, it's funny. She does it all the time, whether you talk to her, pet her, or pick her up. Oh! And her tail wags. We don't know why, but it wags. And My Dog Molly chases her tail. I know it's a normal dog trait, but man, she really gets going after it xD I love it. And she gives "kisses" so to speak. ^^;; I love my dog. |
My cat eats plastic....He is in love with it. I'm constantly smacking him because he has some wrapper or plastic bag in his mouth.
He also likes to trip me. He'll purposely lay in a high traffic zone and stick his paw out whenever anyone walks by. |
My cat tries to jump in the shower with me. Also he likes to lick the salt off soda crackers or potato chips
|
My youngest dog, Ronan (a 3 yr old German Shorthair Pointer) is the youngest of 3 dogs in the house. So of course he's the spoiled baby. Like any decent sized dog he thinks he's a lap dog. But he's favorite is when I'm sitting cross legged on the floor. He comes up plops himself down so his front legs are in my lap, and buries hes face under my butt, even when I'm not on my period.
Then the middle child, Smoke (also a German Shorthair) is an attention hog. If you're in a chair or reclining on the couch he comes up and sticks his nose under your elbow forcing your arm out of the way and tucks his head under your arm and gives you the puppy dog eyes (he's about 5 yrs old). Finally our oldest dor, Jinny (a 12-ish yr old English Setter) acts like the older sister. When the youngest Ronan tries bugging her she starts barking at him and you can just see him going "I'm not touching you!" We also have one grey female cat named Smokey whos about 16-ish years old. She has reached her mid-life crisis. She's obnoxious and demanding. For the most part she was a very quiet animal. Now, as of the past 6 months, she has become extremely talkative. She also loves water straight from the faucet. She wants this water so bad that at about 4 am the whole house wakes up to her meowing at my parents bedroom. She also kind of rules over the dogs. When each one has moved in, they try to eat her. They quickly learned though that she was not one to mess with. She always hooked onto their lips with her claws. |
Nepolean will run around the bathroom and try to climb into the water when I'm in the tub. I put him in, and he just floats around the bathtoys. Oh my god, I love him.
He'll also roll over when he's tired and kick his feet until I play with his squishy underbelly. |
When my dog gets brushed and he wants to be brushed in a different spot he will pretend bite you until you start brushing him where it feels best. Its so cute!

My hamster's cage is placed near the window so he'll get air and light, but one time the lighting in the room made my shadow hover over him and he panicked! He was running in circles, crashing into the cage walls, hiding and then poping right backout of his toys and went in and out of his tube multiple times before I decided to open the the change and pick him up too try and calm him down. His heart was thumping really hard. Still I found it sad, funny, and hilarious.

Aww thats so cute!
|
My bunny floppy, is extremely active and jumpy till you pat him, then he just lays there like he's enjoying it. So cutee. ;^;
And he has this tendency to pee on sofas. |
Aww, I think rabbits are soooo cute!
But I dont think I could have one as a pet in fear of not being able to catch them if they got out of their cage or w/e |
my middle child of my cats is kind of funny.
If you pet her she is fine but if you scratch her she will flop over no matter where she is or what she is doing. I like to sneak up on her and scratch her off counters or the back of the couch/Tv. Xd |
Mine ran away like, twice. And succeeded.
I used to let him out in our garden all the time. He managed to find a hole, ran to the neighbors who carried him home. We blocked the hole, but it found another one. ;A; |
Gary, that is hilarious!!
|
Okay, so they're not my pets butg my sister's pet rats go absolutely MENTAL, I mean BONKERS for mushey banana! They tug at the spoon if I feed them and bite hard so that I can't get it back, they fight each other and climb over each others head to get closer to the stuff, and they brux like crazy when they taste the stuff. I love them. :D |
my cat Mister Sexy he is well weird .... He drinks toilet water (hmmm he has a bowl of fresh water three times a day) and he likes eating dog food (yeah I got a doggy too) and a few days ago he came up to me and licked me on my cheek. Also he sleeps with his hands and feet in the air .I keep thinking that maybe there is a dog trapped in this cat's body lol strange
