i know a lot about Christianity, that's why I'm pretty harsh when I judge them. >_> I could be bias in saying that I grew up in a home with bible-humping, everything's a sin Christians. |
My mother's that way; she's bible thumping and it upsets me. Like when I visited her once she was like "Yeah they're making these towels for homosexuals that say His & His, it's SICK!" That still pisses me off even now.
|
Foxberry, if I was you I would get a bunch of those towels and hang them up in my bathroom, and then invite her over for tea and show off my "newly-remodeled bathroom". xDD

My parents used to be bible thumpers in a way, but my dad does it for a living, and he isn't fundamental by a long shot. He is very forgiving, not perfect by a long shot, but he can accept some things outside of his comfort box...but still, so many people, no matter the religion, judge others because of one tiny difference. We were all created different, so why judge that? I would be more inclined to judge those begging to fit in than those acting naturally and sticking out...but that is just me. Everyone has an opinion, and they will all share it. Unfortunately, many people cannot accept their opinion isn't exactly right to someone else...I believe that is why the world has so much conflict.

Sentinel; Lol I'd have to get the "Her & Her". Granted I'd like to but I'm currently "living in sin" as she would put it since I'm living with my boyfriend and I'm not married to him. Haha, also I'd rather her not fly to CA, I enjoy living all the way on the west coast while she lives in the east. X3 But that is a rather humorous thought!
Daemon Lucifer; As they say everyone has a butthole and everyone has an opinion. X3 As crude and mean as it might sound. |
A certain group of so called Christians want to ban certain stores, for not including Christmas. It's laughable..
talk about being judgmental. When I was younger I judged Atheists in a dark manner, mainly because I didn't understand them. I understand them now, that I am older. I will claim to believe there is a God, and that he has a son named Jesus. But joining myself with the term that has brought more hatred in this world then any other religion. I mean seriously, didn't they try banning Disney for hiring homosexuals? or hosting a homosexual parade or something? I dun remember... |
Being a gay man myself, I'll take those his & his towels when they legalize gay marriages. Because they will. I am totally adding those to my wishlist...but really, it would be confusing to have two his towels...they come in different colors I hope? Dang, totally lost the point of the thread again...
One should not judge another for his flaws, but for his accomplishments, then both will see the good in the other, and all will be well with the world. Ghandi once said this, and I love this comment so much: Quote:

I think they come in different colors; I really don't know. X3 I just recall my mom complaining about them. *rolls eyes*
Also; I agree with you, very smart words, from both you and from Ghandi. Yes, I agree, Mother Theresa is a good example of a "Christian" as you put it. All I can say is that I'll try to do my best as what I've been taught, and what I believe. I don't like judging people but we all do it from time to time. I don't think there's a way to escape it. After all how many times has someone said "ew look at that girl with that ugly green dress"? |
Me, because i would totally look worse in that green dress....again, off thread topic...but I think we often judge others because we know we have problems and point other people's issues out so we can boost our ego...though it only comes back to bite us in our opinionated buttholes, as you said. XD
|
*Chuckles* So very true. Not about the green dress; >> maybe you would look good in a green dress I don't know. But... You seem to think that you wouldn't. Lmao okay enough of the green dress. Like I was trying to get at; yes- picking and judging others is an ego boost for people, and I can't help but find myself quite angry at that.
A good example of this; I'm within the cosplay community and sites such as cosfu.net and 4chan.com post pictures of other people in cosplays and ream them horribly. One of my friends got posted and her costume was beautiful- but they judged her because she cosplayed from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. For some reason judging people seem common in this fandom. That aside the subject still remains the same people judge because exactly what you said; people are jealous and want to boost their ego. |

Take, for instance, charity. In Christianity, it's all about the giver. The giver should give until they can give no more. However, in Judaism, you are only supposed to give until you are not a burden on your community (as in: you need charity yourself). |
I stand happily corrected :)
