Hey everyone, I've become addicted to the drug that is role-playing and I need your assistance to get my fix. Think you can help? Please try to work with my rules, if you have any rules you want to add to our particular rp, just let me know when we start planning.

RULES/WHAT IS NEEDED

~ Please no MarySue-esque characters. It bugs me a lot and I'd have a hard time coming up with a reply. It messes with my story writing brain.

~ Let's try to keep spelling and gramatical errors to a minimum. I understand if you don't want to download the spell checker (I haven't) but try to be as accurate as possible.

~ I like to rp with (I think Mene calls them) Semi-Literate and Literate roleplayers. So that means at least a paragraph a post. I also try to mirror my friends, so if you write a long post, I will return the favor. If I do a long post, it would be completely awesome if you did the same.

~ I have no qualms with Yaoi or Yuri. Yaoi is the preferable of the two, but I refuse to do mindless smut yaoi. I like plots and relationship development. If that's not your thing, then disregard the slash option. ;)

~ I have the right to turn away from any RP request at any time.

~ If I can't make a reply to your post, I'll let you know and ask that you add onto it or give me something to work with. I can't pull the RP all on my own.

~ These rules are subject to change at any time.

~ And please, LET'S ENJOY OURSELVES!

I like:
- Roleplaying on Mene. I like rping on the threads, because I can always go back and reread everything that has been posted, especially if it's been a while since I looked at the thread; that's the one benefit I believe rping over the forums has, otherwise I have no issue doing it through PMs or Instant Messages.
- Please no one liners. Otherwise I'm fine with whatever size post pretty much.
- If you're going to be gone for a while, let me know, so I won't think you forgot about me and hate me, so I unsubscribe and then when you come back you think the same. Saves the hassle and trouble and possible drama
- Brainstorming ideas for the roleplay. Bouncing ideas back and forth off one another is always for the benefit of the thread. More enjoyable for everyone.
- Becoming friends with my fellow rpers outside our threads. It helps us get to know one another better and we can plan our plots accordingly.

I usually:
- play male characters, but I have no issues playing a female. Male is just easier for me.
- try to post at least once a day.
- place my character's thoughts or speech into a different color to help my fellow rper find them quicker for reference.
- try to be online as much as possible so people can always contact me.

I like to RP too. I don't recall PMs being too complicated for me. Only in that you just need to remove the quote marks whenever you can. Other than that it's almost like playing on a thread.

A lot of those sound cool, but I am unsure what a cecaelia or drider is... do you think you can inform me?

Romance scenes = I love them. Romance is the easiest for me to write in my opinion. Scenes I am comfortable with intercourse as a whole, but I don't believe in gratuetous smut or anything.

Well, they're kind of like mermaids, but there are two differences; Cecaelia have octopus lower bodies and are still aquatic, while Driders have spider lower bodies and are mainly land-based.

And, I'm no real fan of intercouse, I hope you don't mind; I'm more of a fan of foreplay... ^^;

Okay, I'm going to edit my list of possible topics.

Foreplay is perfectly fine with me! So do you have a preference of the pairing?

I carry the same rules as you do, and I consider myself a literate writer. I generally do better writing as female characters, but I am able to play men as well.

Unless you are completely against it, I have a rather weird wanting to do a Princess/Knight thing *Rival countries. Almost Romeo/Juilet thing* or a Prince or Knight/Peasant girl. I love stories that cross social standings and local taboos xD

As for romantic things, I love them, but unfortunately I haven't had much practice in way of real intimacy. Most other people I roleplay with tend to stick to the love-from-afar thing...*sigh*

Anyway, that is me in a nutshell. I shall subscribe to this thread so I can see if you reply or not. Force of habit :D

AHA! I new rper friend! *dances* I would love to rp with you. I'm glad you came and found me, I get so lost in finding other people (bit of a ditz here).

Princess/Knight thing would definitely be fun. Romeo/Juliet-esque for the win! We can totally make this epic (its my favorite word, sorry if I end up using it a lot in here).

Romance, no worries, I may be twenty-one, but I've only had 2 boyfriends in my life and even then they were for extremely short periods of time. So the lack in experience is perfectly fine, we can fumble along together.

So do we want to do historical, like in the setting of Romeo and Juliet, just with a Knight and Princess? Or do you want to do something more like, I don't know um.... steampunk I think it's called? Or any other setting you can think of.

Yay! I love the word epic. I use that a lot, along with absolbloominlutely and the smile ^^. Beware if I happen to consume copious amounts of sugar, because then I turn into the squirrel from Over the Hedge mixed with the other squirrel from Hoodwinked XD

I'm not entirely sure what "steampunk" is, apart from the fashion sense, or lack thereof. Historical sounds good unless you have a better idea or are able to tell me what steampunk time is xD

From what I understand, steampunk is very much like Western cowboys esque era with futuristic items and technology. Very weird. (A good example I think would be the television series Firefly, or the movie Serenity) It could probably get very complicated--My brain just went to making the thing very Final Fantasy. You know, modern technology (if not futuristic) but with swords lol.

So there are a couple of options for us.

Ooh both of those sound great! I can see a story emerging from both...Personally I think I would be more comfortable with the Final Fantasy, since I have done things like that before, but I'm always willing to broaden my horizons if you'd rather do a steampunk :D There's a first time for everything! ^^

It really is. I really enjoy the storyline, and the graphics are amazing. The only thing I don't care for is sometimes the controls don't work as I think they should. But the "flying eagle" trick is pretty kick ass....You climb up a building to sit on top to scout the surrounding area *there is always a hawk/eagle/bird thing circling so you know where to go* and once you scout you can jump off and do this little dive thing right into a hay cart xD It's pretty cool. My favorite by far though is being able to impersonate a Monk and sneak up behind a target and stab them with a hidden arm-blade, then fade back into the background...it's awesome XD

The fact that you're older puts me at ease...I can't roleplay with people younger than 18...because if gets the slightest bit romantic I feel like a pedo. Or thats how I imagine I'd feel like :x
