Charles opened his window. The room was getting very boring. He looked down the road to where the docks were. His view was obstructed by the buildings. He wondered if anything was still going on down there.

Ethan looked at her and smiled, "I am sure that there must me someone, we just have to think aobut who he has met since then." he said as he looked at her.

On the roof of the building Charles could still see the ocean and all it's slender. There was all that business down on the docks but the ocean is what inspired him. He began to play his violin on the roof.

Rose kissed Nate back. Her arms slid around his neck. "Nate..." She whispered softly. Her voice held the same love she had for him. She never stopped loving him, why cant he see that?

Ethan smiled when he heard her, "then lets see how much he loves you." he said as he saw Rose deepen the kiss and growled. he wanted her to be kissing him like that.

Nate was surprised but when he felt her arms around his neck and as he was about to wrap his arms around her he felt it. He felt her love for him but he didn't feel anything for her. He then gently put his hands on her shoulders and pulled away. "sorry." he said softly as he looked at her.

Rose looked at Nate. Tears started falling. She took a breath and gave him a smile. "I was a fool to think it would be the same as before. You lost all the love for me." She said softly her voice breaking. She smiled as she started walking away. She blew a kiss at Nate and ran.

The sad somber notes rang from the strings and hung in the air. He enjoyed playing on the roof.
he felt his music traveled farther.

Nate reached out but didn't follow her. He would only make things worse and it wasn't his fault. He didn't know what was going on with him and just stood there.

Ethan got up and winced in pain from his leg. "looks like I need to follow her." he said and took off running, not careing for the pain in his leg.

Rose sat under a tree crying. Her tears wouldnt stop. "I've been such a fool. Who was I kidding? Nate would never take me back. Well at least I got to spend a night with the man i love." She said wistfully. She let herself remember Nate's caresses and kisses. Memories were all she had left of him. She still loved him, that much she knew. She would always love him.

Ethan limped his way over to her and blood soaked his leg. He didn't care all that mattered was that making sure that Rose was okay. He soon found her and leand agens the tree heavly. "your no fool." he managed to say and reached down. He gently brushed her tears away and smiled softly at her. "and he wasn't the right man for you. If I where him I would have never pushed you away."

Rose looked up at Ethan. "How can you be so sure? I gave my heart without a second thought." She said angrily. Her tears kept falling. "I love Nate. Nate doesn't love me. I dont know if he ever did. I would like to know though." She said as she slumped against the tree.

Ethan slid down and sat down next to her. He wans't able to stand up anymore his leg hurt to much. He sighed and whipssed her tears away again, "that is the thing, love is always a tricky things. you never know what it has in store for you. But I am sure that he did love you he just found someone else while you where gone and with me." he said and looked down, "now I am starting to regreat ever takeing you."

Rose didnt say anything she just laid her head on his shoulder. "Do me a favor get Nate for me. I want to talk to him. "She said softly."I never regretted our lovemaking do you?" She asked the pain in her voice so obvious.

Ethan nodded and slowly got to his feet. Blood gooshed out of his one leg and left a big mess where he had sat. "okay, I will be back as soon as I can get him." he siad as he limped away, leaving a trail of blood for her to follow. He soon came back with Nate and was a little bit pale from the lack of blood but said nothing. "here he is." he said as he looked at her.

"Thank you. Go see a doctor." She told Ethan. "Nathan.....Did you ever love me?" She asked Nate. The pain in her voice was obvious. "Just to let you know, I'll never regret our lovemaking." She said as a tear rolled down.

Ethan shook his head and sat down next to her. "staying here to make sure you will be okay." he said as he looked at her.

Nate sighed, "I did love you before he took you away but now I just dont feel anything for you. Your more like a friend to me now." he said as he looked at her and then brushed her tears away gently.

Rose smiled. "I-i see." She said her voice breaking. "I'm sorry." She said as tears slipped down.

Before Nate could brush her tears away Ethan beat him too it. Ethan did it gently and then tucked some of her hair behind her ears. Nate could tell that in Ethans moves he did it with love and care. Nate sighed and looked down, "I am sorry too. I hope that we can stay friends." he said as he looked down at the ground.

Rose gave a small smile and shook her head. "Nathan....go. You have someone. Don't forget me?" She said her voice betraying the smile.

Nate just looked at her and kissed her head goodbye, "I could never forget you." he said and started to walk away.

Ethan wrapped a arm around her and kissed her ear. "everything is going to be okay." he whispered to her softly.

Rose smiled. "I hope so." She said as she hugged Ethan.
