The Root of All Inner Evils
...Religion...and Politics..
Have you particularly ever notice how so many people doubt religions? Have you ever noticed how politics still affects the regulations of law in America. What ever happened to the land of the free? How many lives have our government spent carelessly? Religion is still the base of the so called wonderful nation. It absolutely disgusts me how much our government wastes...ugh...Obama...Bush might have been killing us...but lately you've been striking the final blows... <Yeah...you can kind of tell...I hate it.> Edit: What is your opinion on America. Do you like it? Why? |
What exactly are you debating here?

But all the same, that's about the only thing I got out of her post. The rest of it made no sense at all. |
Yes, I use heavy sarcasm...it's either that..eh...there really is nothing I can be proud of...I won't even stand for the pledge at school. I hate this nation.
|
Erm. Then...leave? I don't mean that in a hateful way or anything, but you seem to hate everything about this country, to the point where it would be impossible to change everything you like to something you're okay with. So perhaps you should find a place you're happier in, rather than complaining about this one? You shouldn't be putting yourself through something you "hate" so much.

This doesn't belong in the Debates forum, as you really have nothing to debate. You're just sharing your hate for America. I'll be moving this to General Discussion now.

my grandma still makes me do japanese tea ceremonyies. they are horrible. hold the pot straight, no, tilt it, ah, you missed the cup! i think sojiro nishikado could do this better than me :(

Religion does cause a lot of conflicts, so does politics, but can you really imagine a world without it? It be quite boring.
I personally love America - that doesn't mean I have to like the people in it or all it's policies. By living in this country, you're given a lot of rights - in exchange you're going to abide by the nation state's rules. (And this pretty much goes for any country you live in - you're going to have to follow the rules and your freedoms could be even more restricted.) Where exactly would you want to live anyway if you hate America so much? |
I'm a Nondenominational Christian 19 year old Nursing Student that was born, raised, and still lives on the East Coast of America. I'm a Conservative Republican, though I have opinions on things like homosexuality and others that many conservatives would b e offended by if they knew I supported it.
I don't support Obama; I'm not a fan of the things he's doing and the things he stands for. But I love our Country. I love our Nation. We're in a slump now, and we're not as great as we have been, but I still love America. I support our troops; I love our soldiers. I don't like that we're at war, and I don't like that thousands of our men are dying, but they're standing for our freedom and for who we are as a country. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I'd never turn my back on the country that's given me a free life to live. |
How... would we have laws without politics? :?:
Aspects of America suck. I disagree with a good number of laws and government policies, and I would love to live somewhere in western Europe like Germany or Switzerland if I knew the languages, but where the fuck else can I get Thai food delivered to my door at 2 A.M.? |

True freedom can never be had.
People would kill each other which would take their (the now dead's) freedom away. We are a representative democracy. If you have a problem with the way things are-try to change them. Try to convince people to vote for certain people that have the same views. We do have elections every two years. Why not help one of the candidates for the positions up for election then? People can make a difference if they are willing to work hard. And BTW I am running for president many many years from now. I promise nothing but to do what I can. To do what those who elected me want. That power is given to the president to serve the people. which I will do. Anyway done with the campaign speech lol. Presidents should realize they are there to serve which is why most presidents by the time they leave office are not too well liked. I do not hate America, but currently I'm not too big of a fan either. No matter which candidate became president, they all would've messed it up somehow. They just would've done it in different ways. There is enough freedom in this country where if you hate it and are an adult you can leave and never come back. Which I may do soon enough. I do not support Obama. He's a liar just as most if not all politicians are. I hate his stance on abortion also. I believe government should have either almost no involvement in our lives or complete involvement. I would prefer the first one over the second one though. Don't want communism here. Overall, America is stupid at times and rash at others, but it is definently no worse than any other country. It just has different problems. I'm sorry about going off on tangents here, but they came to me as I went. |
Most people that don't adhere to a specific religion are agnostic, rather than atheist.
Other than atheists, the group most critical against religion.. is religion. Of course, only towards religions other than their own. |
