"What are you talking about?"Rose asked fang

Rafe nuzzeled Xena. "You're never a distraction. You're a necessity. I can't function without you."

"Xena is not your mom, yet you call her your mom. I don't get it." Fang said.

"she is my mom just not my real mom"Rose replied
Xena smiled than licked his nose

Rafe licked her nose in return. He placed a paw around her neck.

"Your kinda silly" Fang licked her face. "I like that, your fun." Fang then started rolling on the floor.

Xena slowly fell asleep
Rose watched him roll on the floor "you're kinda silly"she replied

Rafe smiled as Xena fell asleep. He then turned his attention to watching the pups play. He then caught Dresdus' eye. "Maybe we should talk."

Dresdus approached Rafe. "Yes Rafe, what is it that you want to talk about?"
Fang playfuly started smacking Rose with his paws.

"How are we going to get things back into balance? Today it was the coyotes tomorrow who knows who'll come after us." Rafe said his eyes drifting over his two females.

Rose ran away from fang

"We need to reestablishe our dominance. We need to show the rest of the forest that we are not to be messed with. "
Fang chased after Rose and bit her tail.

Rafe nodded. "Alright. I'm game for that." He settled back down. "Though any idea how we do it?"

"Moon pack started this when they helped the humans. Frost has been keeping peace, but it is obvious that moon pack will not listen. We take them out."

Under different circumstances Rafe would have hesitated at the idea but with his pack in danger he nodded. "If that's what it'll take the Night pack will do it."

"I am glad we have your support. We will attack in the morning."

Rafe nodded. "That's fine by me." He settled next to Xena and closed his eyes. He needed to rest if he was going to be of any help in the morning.

Frost looked to where Snow was. She made her way over to her pup and sat down just out side the den. "You are quite the strange one. Why aren't you inside with your brother and Rose? I thought you were all great friends. What is on your mind little one?"


Snow looked up at her mother then back up at the sky. "I just don't feel like playing to many things have happen. You keep telling me and Fang every thing is fine but it isn't and I know it. Fang can be all happy all he wants but I know that there is something bothering you and papa rather you tell us about it or not. None of the other packs or wolfs have been attacked before why are they now?" She turned and looked into Frost eyes as she spoke.

The morning came, and Dresdus awoke, ready for a fight. Suddenly, he was approached by Fang. "Dad, where are you going?" Dresdus looked downat him. "I have to go do something very important with your mother. I need you to stay here and guard Snow and Rose." Dresdus licked Fang between the ears. "I'm proud of you son."

Rafe awoke a little after Dresdus. He stayed were he was soaking in Xena's presence. He licked her gently and then reached over and licked Rose as well. After a few more moments he got up and walked over to Dresdus. He was all business.

"Let's do this Rafe." Dresdus headed out toward moon packs territory.
Fang approached Rose and Snow. He layed down next to Rose. His father asked him to protect them, and he was determined to do that.

"Right let's do this." Rafe nodded and ran in stirde with the older wolf. With each step he took closer to Moon pack the more ready for a fight he became.

Dresdus and Rafe enterd moon packs territory. They approached the den, and Xadri and Roxas came out. "What are you doing on our territory?!" Roxas demanded.
"Because of your actions with the humans, you have made the other wolves seem weak. Night pack were attack by coyotes, and sufferd horrible injuries."

Xena woke up and looked around.She noticed Rose and Snow were sleeping,she also noticed Rafe and Dresdus were gone.They better not get in trouble she thought

Fang saw that Xena was awake, and went up to her. "My dad said that he and Rafe had something important to do, and that it was my job to protect Rose and Snow."
