Well are they gonna change the names since it's clearly going to be an American version? I'm guessing that it won't be set in Japan.

Like I said this is going to end VERY badly! The only way they could make this film magrinally okay was if they cast Bosh as Ichigo. I can remember him fighting in the Power Rangers early series and he wasn't too bad at it but...they'll probably miss out a lot and they might miss out Toshiro!!!!!!! I can't decide whether that's a good thing or not as they'll probably screw up his character beyond recognition...

Even if they do good casting, if the writers are terrible, the film will be.

I'll probably do the same but my hopes really aren't very high. They'll probably call the Shinigami Soul Reapers like in the english version or something. At least in the english anime they TRIED to get the pronounciation right most of the time for words like Seireitei and Reishukaku and stuff but for a hollywood movie...I doubt they'll care. I just hope they don't mess EVERYTHING up!

oooh yea... that is one thing that pissed me off so much about 'the last airbender'... the pronounced so many things differently then the show :( ... i really hope they don't do that

I watched around the first 5 minutes of the Last Airbender. It was too awful for words :(

i think that the guys who played zuko and uncle iroh did a great job with the roles

i think if the script was better i would have been much happier with it

cause when they ruin the image you have in your head already with a crappy character it makes you sad
that happened with the last airbender too (sorry for bringing that up again, but it's a similar situation) because sokka is my favorite character and his lines were laaaaame... i was very sad

Yeah, if Ulquiorra's in it they'd no doubt make a mess of his amazing character... but if he's not in it then I'll get mad. :evil:

Sorry to say but this isn't rumoured. In any case, all we can do is wait and see what this will be like. I'm gonna wait until I see some teaser and trailer footage before I make any kind of opinion on this. But I'm not exactly happy about this-I definitely see problems at some point, just not sure what. And Roze, if this is the 1st film, I doubt we'll get arrancars, so you don't have to worry about them butchering Ulquiorra's character just yet.

And PLEASE, don't get me started on TLA! That was cinematic rape of a good cartoon series (Which has a sequel series coming out next year! There's a thread for it in the media section of this forum). Zuko and Iroh were alright from the sounds of things, but that's it! They got names wrong, left out several plot points AND some of it made no SENSE! (My proof rests with holding EARTH benders prisoner in a QUARRY...I think that says it all really).
I just hope the sequel script doesn't get a green light! I made a rant about this in the media section as well!

That's how I feel about Toshiro right now. I mean, there's no way they'd find someone that'd do his character justice! And can you imagine how badly they'll mess up the Bankai? I mean, Byakuya and Renji's bankai's are gunna be VERY hard to transfer from anime to big screen.
I'll probably see the film with you Roze...then we can cringe and comment on it at the same time.
