I got it two or three months in a row over the summer. Before that, I had only gotten it once or twice before.

I really wish there wasn't that wait time in between leaving comments... You can only leave so many in a day (and receive ribbons) anyway, so I don't really see the point. It just makes maxing your comments for the day really tedious and chore-like since it takes so long. :/

I guess the wait time is only so that their servers don't overload. It is a little annoying, though.

WTF? I can't post any comments on Poupee because whatever I put, even if it's just one of their emotes, a screen pops up saying "dangerous tags included" :?

I hate it when weird shit like this happens on there! I know there was an issue a number of months ago when none of the emotes worked, and it took them some time to fix that.

That's weird. The only time I've gotten that warning was with quotation marks or if I had copy/pasted from certain places.

It's ok again now, typically, it was 25 minutes before it changed to the next day when I was trying to comment earlier. So Poupee stopped me from getting an extra day's ribbons.

I have run into that emotes being "dangerous tags" problem before. I did comments without emotes for a month.

I wonder what on earth causes it! It's not like they added new ones and that messed things up, nothing was changed :?

I have that problem sometimes — it happens in Chrome EVERY TIME if I copy/paste an emote from one comment box to another. You have to use the popup emote menu when you're using Chrome.

Occasionally it will happen in FF when I'm copy/pasting emotes from a comment box and some error occurs (like I post too soon after my previous comment), but the only way to fix it is to go back to that person's profile, then go to the item you were commenting on, then repost your emote.

You can't just refresh the page; it doesn't work for whatever reason. It's a pain in the ass.

You can solve this by not copy/pasting anything though... also a pain in the ass considering my comments generally consist of just an emote.

I never c/p on there. This was using their emote box, nutso stuff :lol: It was fixed by the date change over though.

Getting the dangerous tags thing again, no matter what I try and post in comments that is coming up, oh well!

I find it's Firefox that is causing this (for me), logged into Poupee through Chrome and it's fine : /

I don't have any issues making comments on Poupee using Chrome...Maybe it is a Firefox thing? Did anyone see what the gold stocking items were? I couldn't find the stuff listed anywhere on the Poupee LJ community.

It is a Firefox thing, I dug around on Google and found old LJ entries about it. It's a problem on several browsers and they don't know what causes it. : /

Anyone else want to friend over on poupee?

So the other day I was going through my poupee inventory, selling some stuff I didn't want anymore for extra ribbons, and I came across this:

And I thought "Why do I have that?! I'd never wear that," because I usually dress my poupee casually, and that's a seriously frilly shirt. So I sold it.

Then last night the steampunk items came out and I remembered... I had that shirt for steampunk outfits. :headdesk: And the only ones I can find on the marketplace are double the price of what I sold mine for a few days ago!

Have you guys ever sold something and then regretted it?

Mostly I only regret misprices since I rarely sell stuff once I buy them.

Yeah, I should just stick to selling things I get from the shell spring or from uploads that I don't like... I need to stop doing purges. >< The last one I did was helpful because I started poupee as a teenager and then came back after a year or two of being away, so there was some stuff in there that was worth a lot that I would never wear again. But now that that stuff is gone, I just need to avoid selling. :lol:

I did do poorly at auctioning a poupee jewel item, though.

Ahh, yeah. I was considering auctioning off some jewel catcher items I have, but then when I checked the oribon stats, they're really hit or miss. Sometimes it goes for 80j, other times 15. Their auction function isn't that well designed... You can't track what you're bidding on or see what's ending soon, so I can't imagine how many things slip through the cracks at a ridiculously low price.
