Daniel doesn't notice Auria at first, helping another student learn how to play basic chords and patterns. He was teaching her 'Smoke on the Water' when he looked up and saw Auria. Immediately he looks away, back at the other student, his face flushed slightly as he loses concentration and makes an amateur mistake. He curses at himself for screwing up and plays it perfectly the next time, the student nodding and copying his example but having trouble with the high note. Daniel nods and helps her find the right fingering, then has her play it again.
And the music class continues like this, with Daniel focusing on his student and ignoring Auria, trying to pretend she wasn't there. Soon enough, the student waves goodbye and Daniel begins to put the instruments away, still avoiding looking at Auria. |
Auria was dissapointed when he continued to avoid her. She felt like he was going to keep doing this. She knew that she should probably just leave but something pulled her to go and help him put up the instruments. She stayed quiet and avoided looking at him just as he was doing to her. She then got out the clay workings from before and was instantly sad, remembering how he was teaching her with his hands on hers. She sighed and tried not to let him see what this was doing to her, though he could probably read her like a book.
|
He pulls a chair up to the table, sitting down, looking down at his lap. He struggles to find some words, any words, for the situation, but cannot. And so, for a few minutes, he sits in silence, thinking. '...poor girl. This is tearing her apart. Then I guess...I'll just pretend that it never happened.' he decides, looking up and smiling at her. "Right! So, we got the petals done yesterday, and today we're going to start on the base." He nods, gesturing to the clay. "I'd like to repeat the same process as yesterday; that is, you make the base and I'll help you when you struggle." He says, casting the thought of the feeling he got when kissing her out of his mind as he casts an angelic grin at her.
|
Auria sat down next to him, taking a bit of clay into her hands. She played with it and looked at him slowly. "Please don't pretend for my sake..." she told him quietly before looking back at the clay. She pressed it between her fingers, and rolling it back up before doing it again. Now that she was near him, she could taste his sweet lips on hers. She continued to look down at the clay, waiting for his answer.
|
Daniel takes a bit of clay and balls it up in his good hand, letting his hands sculpt whatever they want to as he talks. "Auria. I'm not going to pretend, then. I...I enjoyed the kiss a lot, but...I don't think we can have a relationship. I mean....it just wouldn't work out. Maybe when you graduate or when I inevitably get fired from his job, then maybe we can have something. But...as it stands, I don't think it will work. I'm sorry, Auria, but I'm good enough at figuring when relationships don't come to fruition. After all, I've had a lot of practice..." He looks down the clay sculpture he made--a bullet. He quickly balls it up again and sets it down the table. "I know you have a crush on me, and I must admit that I feel for you as well, but...well, you already know, so there's no point in being redundant." His voice is quiet yet assertive as he closes his eyes and sighs.
|
Auria closed her eyes, not believing what he was saying to her. "Daniel... please.." she whispered softly. "I can't be here if this is going to happen..." she said quietly, still playing with the clay. He was now shaped into a heart. She sighed and tore it in half. She looked at him slowly. "Daniel, you can't tell me that this won't work when you want it like I do." she said quietly. "I know you are a teacher but I don't see you like that anymore. If we can't be I'll just get out of your class and you won't have to worry about it anymore.." she said even more quietly, looking down at her hands. She shut her eyes, not wanting to let him see her cry.
|
He sighs to himself, putting his head in his hands, his eyes shut tight as he racks his brain. Finally, he sighs out a simple phrase, "You win." He sits upright and gives her a pained smile. "I honestly think that...it will end in heartbreak and it won't benefit either of us, but...if it means that much to you, Auria, then I suppose we can at least try." And before she can respond, he puts his arms around her and hugs her close to him, pulling her off her chair and onto his lap [!!] as he does so. "I...don't understand what you see in me, but...I'll try my best to make you happy. I promise..."
[[i need to go listen to some death metal to balance out all the romance]] |
Only one tear was allowed to shed before Daniel answered her. She looked at him in surprise. Auria wasn't able to answer before he pulled her into his lap, his arms going around her. She hugged him back gently, lost for words. "Really?" she asked softly, her arms around him in return. "Oh Daniel, I promise no one will find out." she tells him, looking into his eyes.
((Yep, lotta romance floating around. ^^)) ((Edit: Very short post.... sorry)) |
"I'll trust you." He answers, locking his lips with hers before she can say anything else in a mimic of earlier that day. The feeling of her lips against his, her body on his, they were intoxicating to him and with every passing second, he craved more and more. His hands lock around her lower back and pulls her against him as the world vanishes yet again, and they share that moment together. Eventually he pulls his mouth away from hers and looks into her eyes, a smile tinging at the edge of his lips. "Erm...would you mind if we moved this lesson to my dorm?" He says, suggestion thick in the air.
|
Auria inhaled deeply as he pulled her into a kiss. Her arms pulled him closer as their lips interlocked with each other. She felt herself go into a haze of passion while his hands grasped her lower back and pulled her closer. She smiled and slowly opened her eyes when he pulled back. His question made her blush deeply before she slowly nodded. "Yea, I think it's too bright in here." she said, giggling softly. She kissed him once more and got up to put away the supplies quickly before following him to his dorm, knowing what was about to happen.
((And for the PG sake of the roleplay: They snuggled. That's it. ^^)) |
Kennedy walked up to the doors of the school and sighed as she took the piece of paper out of her pocket. She skimmed through the greeting and looked at the part where it told her what dorm she was in. She squeezed her way through the crowds of people to the dorm in which she was directed. She opened the door to a very large fascinating room.
'Very...big, but nice.' she thought. She set her bag on the bed and separated her clothes before putting them in the drawers. She sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed her eyes. She looked out at the people walking in the hallway and decided to leave the door open. |
Third day of classes! |
Auria woke up about an hour and a half early for class in Daniel's arms. She looked around sleepily and smiled up at him, kissing him lightly on the lips before she got dressed and quietly left to go to her dorm to get ready for school. She had set up a new alarm for him in order to wake him up on time so he could teach. She knew that if he didn't that someone would notice. She left a note telling him she didn't want to wake him and that she would see him in Art. She walked off to her dorm, her legs hurting as she walked. She got to her dorm and took a hot shower to relax her muscles. She got dressed in snow boots that covered the bottom of her jeans and a tight purple shirt that showed a bit of cleavage. She fixed her hair and make up and gathered her things for class. The drawing she did the day before was still sitting there face down. She glanced towards it but walked out the door, not wanting to look still. She had heard there was new girl in her dorm and she wanted to meet her. She walked down to the first floor and knocked on the door, waiting on an answer. Her legs still killing her.
((This is you ii_lovebug. ^^)) |
((yay!))
Kennedy took out her sketchbook and started to draw. When she drew she drew a random shape and stared at it until she recognized it as something else. Then she would write down what it reminded her of and she would flip the page and draw a normal looking one. She drew a shape that ended up looking like an elephant, she got threw e-l-e-p when she heard a knock at the door. She quickly threw the sketchbook on the bed and straightened up her posture. "Yes? Come in!" she said trying to take a peek at who it was. |
Auria smiled and limped into the room, her ankle was still hurt from the day before as well as her legs from falling so much. "Hi there, my name is Auria." she told the girl, holding out her hand. "I was wondering if you wanted to go get some coffee or something before class?" she asked. "What class do you have?" she asks, smiling at the girl.
|
Kennedy stood up slowly and smiled at her back as she shook her hand.
"I'm Kennedy. Are you okay, you're limping. I love coffee!" she said as she became sort of jumpy. She nodded and held up her index finger. "Just let me put my sketchbook away." she said. She grabbed it off of the bed and set it on the dresser. "Okay, let's go!" ((Is it just you two or do other people come in sometimes?)) |
Auria smiled at the girl. "Nice to meet you Kennedy." she told her. "Yea I'm fine, had a rough day in gymnastics yesterday. Just one of those days I suppose." she said with a laugh. She pulled down her boot to show the girl her orange sized ankle that was bruising pretty nicely. "Alright let's go." she said with a laugh. "You draw too?" she asked, walking with her out of the dorms towards the coffe shop on campus.
((Yea there are other people, but they are away from christmas right now. I'm hoping they will be back soon though.)) |
Kennedy shrugged lightly.
"Only if I get bored." she said. She walked around the halls in question and after a few flights of stairs she decided to let Auria lead the way instead of getting lost. "So...uhm...what's the coffee shop called?" she said, trying to make small talk. |
Auria smiles and walks with her. "It's Sugar Browns." she replied. "So what classes do you have?" she asked, continuing the small talk with the girl while they walked towards the coffee shop. They walked across campus together in the snow into a dimly lit building, the air filled with the smell of coffee. She inhaled deeply. "I love that smell in the morning." she said with a sigh as they walked up to the front counter to order.
|
[[hey guys! where are we in the rp right now?]]
|
((Third day of classes. ^^ Me and lovebug are going to coffee if you'd like to join us. Class will start soon though. ^^ ))
|
Kennedy nodded and smiled.
"Nice name, not too original, but nice." she said. She did the same and inhaled it through her nose as she closed her eyes. "I would pay a lot of money to smell that every morning." she said as she opened her eyes again. She walked up to the counter and pulled out her wallet. "A large turtle with extra caramel and chocolate please?" she said. She took out 5 dollars and handed it to the man. "Keep the change." she said with a polite smile. |
Mia was running, beads of sweat dripping down her forehead. The air was in fire; sparks crackled and fell to the ground, bleeding into sore, sooty singes on the forest floor. One of her bare feet caught a root; she tripped, skinning her knees and the palms of her hands as she desperately tried to break the inevitable fall. There was a cracking noise from above, and she ran faster; barely getting out of the way as a blazing tree thudded to the ground behind her. She continued to run, still faster, her chest and throat burning with the black smoke. She skidded to the edge of a sandy cliff, but she was too late. She fell, screaming helplessly...
And then she woke up in a cold sweat. Safe... For the time being, at least. She sighed, shaking off the dream. Forgetting it. She quickly dressed, pulling on a baggy tan sweater over a lavender tank top and a pair of grey skinny jeans. She ran a brush through her short hair a couple times, letting it fall just above her collarbone. That was when she noticed it, in the mirror: The glowing red scar, just below her chin, shaped like a sickle. Her eyes widened in shock. She felt like there was something she should be remembering, something from... She shook her head. The Mark would fade, eventually, she reminded herself. It was just the new moon arriving, she thought. It did that often. This was normal, and besides, it wasn't like anyone outside of this dormitory could see it. You had to be a full-fledged demon to notice something like that... She headed out, grabbing the loyal canvas bag that was always present, no mater where she was going; and headed out to a coffee place she'd heard of... Sugar Browns. |
Auria smiled and ordered herself a large soy white chocolate symphony. She pulled out a 5 dollar bill and handed it to the cashier, also letting him keep the change. She smiled at the girl as they got their drinks. "So what class do you have first?" she asked. "I have art." she told her as they found a table to sit and talk.
((Crazy dream by the way. ^^ )) |
[[Hehe thankies! |o w o| We need some mortal peril XD ]]
Mia opened the frosty door of the coffee shop, defrosting as the humid heat and delicious aroma of coffee encircled her. She breathed a heavy sigh, smiling contentedly. As she was ordering a tall caramel macchiato, she spotted the angel-girl from the previous night, the one with the beautiful voice. She gave her a small wave, smiling widely, and went over to sit at her table. She noticed that she was sitting with another girl, an angel with bright red hair and sweet, innocent blue eyes. "Hey!" she said, taking a sip from her hot, delicious drink. [[By the way, does anyone have archery or physics yet?]] |
