She can't now.
Thank the gods for being to old, I'd have to admit myself. |
Yay! ^^ *Gives cookies and sweet tea*
|
Awesome duck sauce! *noms and drinks*
I feel british now. >w> hrm very interesting feeling this is. |
*Kicks in a very poor British accent with the southern drawl showing painfully through* Would you like some crumpets as well?
Just image how awful that would sound in real life. lol |
Trust me I can. -w- *has a soutern drawl herself*
>w> Actually my brother-in-law likes to make fun of my because my accent changes at any given moment. One minutes it's very southern then british then [email protected]@ Sometimes I make it were my accent is hard to notice. It's very interesting when I do. |
Same problem here, too, except for the accent hard to notice... I have this one weird accent I sometimes slip into that no one knows what the blazes it is. XD I just like to blame all the dead languages I stare at for it.
We southerners rock with our accents and all. :D |
Yes we do ^w^
Thanks to my husband, sometimes I'll even slip into a Southern version of an island accent. It's an awkward combo. |
Kick arse combo. XD That is awesome.

Woo7 day at the lake! (It was freaking cold) Lol sometimes though it makes me very hard to understand. >w> |
That's a gorgeous lake! owo
And sorry if I reply slow. I'm writing a memoir that's due on Wednesday. D; And I definitely have a Jersey/New York accent. Like, I'll say stuff like "Give da dawg some watah" XD; Or "Oh so you're going to awkansaw?" Instead of saying "are-kan-saw". Oh yes, we drink "cawfee" and "soder" here by the way. :P Accents are so fun. My out of state friends love mine. XD And when we visit our family friends in Virginia, they get a kick out of the way I talk. And Staralight, you're on Solia right? Just asking 'cause I see a Solia avi in your sig. I just joined Solia a few days ago. XD |
Lol
People in Ohio and the like say stuff like pop instead of soda, and don't get me started on the things my husband says. He was raised in St. Thomas which is one of the Virgin Islands. @[email protected] him and his mom speak spanglish around me a lot. (and yet he can't speak a word of Spanish) Oh and thank you ^w^ When it's not so windy I plan on taking some more pictures around there. But that day the wind kept knocking Makrua over onto his face, so I just said screw it. |
Ooo... I love how the water looks... He looks like he is the actual size of a person. ^^ Optical illusion, hu-zah!
Meh, don't need to understand, they just need to know awesome when they hear it. XD |
Yes! Exactly!
And yeah that pictures does make him look life sized. >w< I just can't wait to have the money for Arc. *pets imaginary doll* |
Yeah, it's been really windy here too. I remember one day I was outside with Kadin taking pictures at the front of the house, and a huge gust of wind blew him over onto the concrete. There was a loud thump and his head cap and wig came flying off. I was so paranoid I broke him, but all he has is a tiny little chip in his shoulder. I thought I had cracked his arm open or something. O_O;
So yeah, I do not want to repeat that experience, so unless the is close to no wind blowing, he's not going outside. XDD; -paranoid- |
Lmao
That sounds like what happened to MCAT's Kai the first day she had him. We had gone to an auto place for her mom to pick up their family vehicle, and well we decided to take pictures of him on one of the brand new Jeeps being displayed. Well a gust of wind knocked him off the car. >w< We rushed over and nothing was wrong magically. The only damage he suffered from a foot drop on concrete was a chip on the inside of his skull cap. Miracle! |
Oh my. XD That sounds even more horrifying than my situation! At least Kadin was just standing on the ground when he fell over, but a foot?! omg. I would have died of a heart attack. :gonk:
Luckily Kai was okay! These dolls sure can be durable. You seem to have to be extremely unlucky to actually break these dolls beyond repair. |
Oh yeah.
Actually on DOA, I heard about a girl who's dog tried to eat her doll and then boiled it. Brand new. It was amazing. OwO |
I think I actually saw that thread! Was the doll like all chewed up and everything? If so, then yeah, I saw the doll. I didn't see the doll after the whole repair process though.
I remember once seeing a thread asking "If I lick my doll will I get resin poisoning?" or something like that. o_O; Weird stuff. Completely unrelated, but I just randomly thought of it. Like, why would you lick your doll. :gonk: |
Perverted reasons that we don't want to even consider at all.
Besides if the sealer used is of good quality then no I don't think one would get resin poisoning. However if it was a low quality then I'd suggest going to see a doctor immediately. And yeah, the doll was completely fine after boiling it. Same thing with MCAT's doll. Kai needed to be boiled due to him being a lemon. (Yes he was a lemon.) (Pics from that fateful day with Kai) http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...here/tash3.jpg http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i2...here/tash2.jpg |
A lemon? XD I'm not sure I get it. owo;
And he looks so smug in those pictures. -loves smug looking dolls- |
Ah well there was some trouble with his resin. It started warping for no reason that either of us could fathom. But doll-zone worked with her about it and everything has been taken care of.
But a lemon is a car term for when you get a piece of shit. Like first day tires go, engine, ect. |
Ahh okay. XD I know nothing about cars and what not. So I heard lemon and thought he was yellow or somehow got compressed into the shape of a lemon or something. o_O;
It's good that Dollzone worked everything out though. ^^ |
Yeah they were really nice to her about it too.
Sent her the new parts so that Kai could be fixed and everything. (I call those the 'shut up this never happened' parts.) |
Well that's certainly one way to put it! XD
I've heard some pretty bad horror stories about companies treating customers rudely when they send out wrong colors, sizes, parts, and what not. I heard Crobidoll was guilty of this, not sure if they still are. Still, it makes me nervous as I'm planning to buy my next doll from there. D8 |
Yeah
I knew Crobidoll was evil. Just knew it. Well after getting bad mouthed enough times, you'd imagine they would straight up to keep getting business. Though I've heard of companies sending out the wrong doll entirely. Awake I am! |
