I love thrift stores so bad, I have one back home that has lots of old materiel and they sell it by weight!! its like 1-2$ per pound xP
I rarely buy my own clothe I usually just get it given to me and I have a large closet full! Does anyone know if the soom bird/dragon feet fit on the new dollshe bodies? |
I don't think that they do.
But yeah same here with mine, usually it's whatever has been stained a wee bit and no goodwill would want it. So why not use what's not stained? |
Pshhh I'd use stained stuff
|
Lol sometimes I do too depending on where the stain is, what made the stain, and how large the stain is.
|
free/cheap material is what it is why not find a use for it!
I luff fwee |
I love free too lol
Free is a girls best friend, especially a college students. |
I would guess so
>.> I knows nothing of college |
TwT It eats your soul!!!!!
And makes you understand why free is a good thing. Basically it can either make you or break you. >w> |
I bet!
some good reasons I have no intentions on going! plus the fact why pay so much when I know I can't handle that kind on learning If only they had a special ed college, if only It would most definitely break me |
^w^ Oh I'm complaining about it, but I wouldn't trade the time I spend going for anything in the world.
Knowledge is power, and I intend to come out on top. Most college these days have a program meant to help people with learning disabilities. I know that my community college does. They offer tutors, extra time on tests, ext. |
Well like you said it'll either make you or break you, as long as you know which of the two you are your all good!
I might have to look into that one day just not any day close to now |
Lol you never know for sure. It's impossible to do so. My psychology class showed me that, but some people just aren't willing enough to try. A friend of mine is like that, granted she didn't realize she was one of those people. Until she failed two classes anyway.
|
I went to a adult learning center because I couldn't learn the way my school was teaching and they refused to help me.
|
>w> I dropped out of my high school, got my GED, and going as an English major.
I was of those kids that was just to smart for the school. |
Teachers in my community college work with those that have problems, all you have to do is talk to them. I'm with Staralight: I complain about college, but I wouldn't trade it in. Besides for the math classes, I have a ball. XD
Thrift stories are awesome, last time I went into one, I got a sleeveless dress with matching duster (brown or olive green, depending on light,) and an entirely sequined skirt and shirt outfit that is too small for me. It has a rip down the side (probably why it was tossed in there,) so something that was originally expensive, I got for a steal. Hell, my bone china tea set was never used, is vintage, has the woven case to carry it all and I got it for $22. XD Then they were not doing their job, Magiek. I've seen a lot of cases where they just give up on people because they are too lazy. ._. Way too many cases. Edit: I just read and drew through all me classes... Except Latin class and Astrology... Can't go wrong with teachers wearing togas and tye dye dress pants. |
I dropped from middle school
My older sister was one of those but her story turned up bad, she was book smart not street smart that's for sure. |
That's why you have to keep pushing, you can't stop, to give up IS losing.
I was on my senior year before throwing in the towel on my high school, but you can't let shitty ass teachers keep you down from going all the way. |
I think someday I will look into college, but I really need to find meds that work for me. and a college that does one on one work.
|
I know there are government programs that will help you get into school, Magiek. And once you pick a college, most community ones (or at least, the ones in Virginia) have one-on-one set up for those that have learning problems.
|
Online classes do that. Offer one on one time rather than going into a classroom with a whole bunch of other people. Just got to make sure you actually 'go to class'
Same with Florida's TCC (Tallahassee Community College) In fact I'm not paying a dime for any of my classes or books. ((The left over of my FASFA is how I actually paid for my Makrua. >w>)) |
There are often office hours that teachers set up that can be used for one-on-one time, too.
|
I'm really going to have to look into all of that when I move. I'm on an armybase right now in Louisiana, I don't have anyway to get to a college.
|
Yep
Should for some reason that I don't understand something in any of my classes, each teacher has offered to spend one on one time so that I can better understand the material. Like I honestly cannot do mental math, the numbers just blur together for me if I try. So they allow me to use scratch paper at all times. OwO Well that's good, the military sets up a fund for their personal for schooling and they offer the same stuff. It's how a marine friend of mine is going to school. |
Ah, point. But extra thing for you to look into once you get to your new area: Community Colleges sometimes have shuttle buses that you can contact to pick you up and bring you back home to a relative location (like Wally World or Target in your town.)
|
I couldn't do mental math to save my life, I always got in trouble at my original school.
Yeah I'll be living in providence RI so getting rides shouldn't be a problem. |
