~``Scars of Roses Tavern and Inn``~ (Lit-Advanced)

Starting off with the rules just so I can get that out of the way. After my intro on the next post just join in. I don't care about any sorta profile. Since this is a literate-advanced RP I expect you to be able to play you character so well that a profile is unnecessary. And yes, you can pop out and pop in whenever you'd like because of that.

Rules:

1. Please be literate/advanced. I LOVE replying to long posts. It makes my posts more interesting as well as make everything more fun. Now, that isn't to say that I'll completely ignore you if you come in and don't have long posts, but I just won't enjoy it as much.
2. Follow the basic RP rules. I don't think I should really need to elaborate do I?

Dreams built upon brick foundations. Blood spilled among the roses for protection. What a lovely home. This little bar, tucked away into some quiet corner of the world was a very strange place indeed. Not much surrounded it but for red headed vined tendrils that wrapped around the old stones and tried to overtake the walk to the tavern. The sign that hung above the old wooden door was fading, and the name could barely be made out. Most people just saw the picture of the rose upon it and knew they were in the right place. And just how did one come across such a backwoods place? Well that was a mystery in itself. Some say the roses led those that had wandering spirits, others say that people come because they are led by the scent of something powerful that lurked behind those decrepit walls. But whatever it was, people of all walks of life came and were welcomed.

Inside, the bar is dimly lit, to aid those that drink a bit too much and those that just can't handle bright flourescent light at any time. Little lanterns that have actual candles decorate the walls and tables, as a few paper lanterns dance and flicker from the ceiling, little flowers painted across the pale screens. The furniture itself is all a deep mahogony wood, with intricate floral carvings engraved into the legs of tables and the backs of chairs. Even the barstools at the counter have black cushions with golden vines gilded across the surface. Its a delicate place, with a calming scent about it. A sweet, and yet almost metallic smell tinging the corners.

One may perhaps expect such a gorgeous place to be kept by some delicate flower with gentle eyes and a curvy body. Ah but they would be mistaken. Sitting tucked into one of the several curtained off alcoves sat the owner, nestled in amidst an array of cushions, a rose balanced between two fingers. His greying hair flutters across his forehead, making the silver strands dance in the soft light of a paper lantern. Skin that has long since become a deep tan is creased into wrinkles around his eyes and mouth. His is a gentle countenance certainly, but there is something powerful about him. Perhaps its the look in his eyes. Those of his kind knew what it was though. And that's why he stayed hidden most times. It was much easier that way. Sitting at the bar was one of the few people that he trusted enough to be the one that the public saw.

She was a robust woman, with plenty of curves, perhaps too much. She wore a modest outfit for bartending, one consisting of a grey kimono style top, with goldfish dancing at the bottom, glittering in the candlelight. With that were a pair of black capris, and black ballet shoes which tied up her legs, ending in a big bow at her knee, right below the bottoms of the capris. Her hair shone in a brilliant, fiery orange, while her eyes brought the most attention. One was a gentle blue, calming waters in the eye of a storm, while the other matched her hair in a fiery embrace. Surely fascinating to most, and defintely more welcoming to the customers, especially since none but the owner knew of her actual history much less her species. A choker set around her neck made certain of that.

James and Kyou. What a match. But this was their home. This was Scars of Roses.

'Alohilani walked up and knocked on the door, not sure of where she was. She remembered yesterday, wandering around somewhere unknown and falling asleep under a thick-leaved tree. Aside from yesterday, she didn't remember anything at all.

'Alohilani rolled her neck, trying to remember the day's events. Waking up under the tree, playing with a few of the fallen leaves, sniffing the air around her, enjoying the scents that came from the woods. Somehow, she'd been led here - Kami knows what - and followed her first instinct of knocking on the door. She looked up and read the words on the faded sign and pushed the door open hesitantly, peeking inside before quickly stepping in and closing the door softly behind herself.

"Hello? Anyone here?" Her voice was shaky and full with fear. She had no idea where she was and the only thing she remembered was last night and this morning. It was well into the evening now, and she doubted anyone was here. She was just about to turn around and walk out when something made her stop dead in her tracks. She tried to move, but she couldn't. She was rooted to the spot by whatever had brought her here.

Kyou Blade 12-09-2009 05:24 AM

She felt someone coming before she heard them. In the corner she could hear James make a movement, perhaps getting farther away so that whoever it was couldn't sense him. He preferred to live quietly, and stay away from the others. Which was why she'd always wondered why he even had opened this place. She thought that perhaps it was because he had no where else to go. This was his home after some foolish young ones had burnt his last, thinking it may destroy him. She'd heard the story, not much of it, but enough. Enough to where she gave him the utmost respect and made certain that others did the same. And if he wished to have solitude then he would have it. After all, she'd been running this place for a while now.

As she sat at the bar, gently wiping the surface with merely the tip of her finger she heard the door open and then close. She was not surprised, nor was she surprised to see that the girl could not move backwards. This old place was funny about that. The stones held memories in them and they had their own sort of knowledge. They knew when one entered that shouldn't be running quite yet. So Kyou got up, moving around the counter to hold a hand out to the girl. With a gently touch on the girl's arm she was freed, able to walk about as she would please. Such power didn't come from being the bartender. There was much more to it than that. But the important part was that the visitor could move.

"Welcome to this humble little tavern my dear. Its always a pleasure to have visitors. Come and have a seat at the counter with me and tell me what you'd like this evening. I'm sure you've been traveling for quite some time."

She smiled gently and started walking back to the bar counter, her fingers dragging along the dark wood, knowing that the girl would follow her. It had been a while since she'd had a customer.

Rain:] 12-09-2009 05:39 AM

Alohilani accepted the woman's grasp and followed her to the counter. She looked about everywhere, wondering what place this was. "What is this? Not to be rude or anything.. You see, I kind of lost my memory, and I only can remember last night when I fell asleep under this huge tree, and this morning when I woke up. My name is Alohilani, and I'm seventeen years old. I look a lot younger, I know." Alohilani looked the woman up and down, examining her and trying to get a read off of her. She wore a grey kimono with capris and ballet shoes, the ones that tied up your legs. She'd always wanted a pair of those. What was most interesting was her eyes. One was a cute blue color, and the other was a reddish-orangeish color to match her hair. She was fascinated by this, as she had only seen on a stray white cat she'd played with this morning, one eye blue and one green like her own.

She dropped her eyes, not wanting to be rude, and ran a hand through her black-and-brown hair. "Do you, perhaps, have a job opening that I can apply for the time being? I have no money and no home, well as far as I can remember, and I need some way to make money to survive, to eat and drink and have shelter."

Kyou Blade 12-09-2009 05:48 AM

With a slight nod to herself she went behind the bar, fixing up a simple glass of hot chai tea. It was a delicious drink, one with a slightly spiced taste, as though one were drinking a mix of pumpkin pie and tea. She hummed to herself a little as she prepared it, slipping it into a delicate glass cup and taking it to the girl, setting it on the counter in front of her. How sad for one so young to of lost her memory. That would certainly explain how she wound up here. This place tended to be a home for those that were lost, and that would definitely fit the bill.

"Well, Alohilani, its a pleasure to meet you. My name is Kyou. And its certainly no accident that you ended up in this place. That's the way things work love. But to lose your memory. That is indeed quite troublesome."

What was even more troublesome was that she wanted a job here. While she could use an extra hand to help out during the busy times, it wasn't really her call. In the end it was up to James. She looked over at the curtained alcove where he had been and heard movement. Ah, so he was going to come out. Which meant that this girl posed no risk of sensing him. Heck, she could barely sense him and she knew his power. Which meant he was heavilly surpressing it like none other.

"While I can not say if you can work here or not, there is someone who can. I'll be right back, alright? Drink that while I'm gone. It'll only be for a moment, but that drink will warm you up."

With that she nodded to the girl and got up, walking gently to the back corner to see if James would come out. She wanted to help the girl, she really did. But it wasn't her place.

Rain:] 12-09-2009 05:54 AM

Alohilani nodded to Kyou and said a small 'thank you' before sipping the drink. It was delicious. She decided to take it sip by sip instead of drowning it like she wanted to. She wondered who she was going to talk to to see if she could work here or not. She'd had that weird feeling that someone was watching her, but she shook it off as soon as the woman had spoken to her. She swatted at her arm, killing a mosquito that had landed. Damn bugs. She hoped there wasn't any spiders though.. She'd die. She had a deadly fear of spiders since the black widow encounter last night. She shuddered and shook off the memory, waiting for Kyou to get back.

Daeman35 12-09-2009 05:59 AM

The girl dismounted the horse with her brother by her side. She didnt need the extra muscle but wanted to be with him only for the company, if not to keep her in check when her energy level would rise. They were not blood related but his family had taken her in and taught her how to hide what she truly was.

The man opened the door after dismounting and tying up the horses. He walked in with pants down a little on his waist towards his hips. His shirt was as black as night while his hair was as white as the moon. He was a handsome devil who seemed tall and powerful. His steps as he stepped inside were with such grace and confidence he seemed to overtake his actual personality. His cloak hid most of his concealed weapons but it was open revealing his giant bastard sword and a couple daggers.

The girl stepped in beside him. She had white hair as well and it was cut a little longer than his short hair. Hers being about 6 inches each and his being 2 inches. She had a cloak on that had opened to reveal that she had a regular black shirt on with brown pants. She almost looked like a male at first glance but you could tell that she was a female by her height and her face. She had twin blades on her belt across the back with a chain wrapped around her waist. She looked up at her brother then at the inside of the tavern. He headed for a table and she followed. They sat and looked at the other people. She closed her cloak to take away the look of the weapons.

Kyou Blade 12-09-2009 06:05 AM

It didn't take long luckilly. James had already been waiting for her. He was always such a kind man, that it was a shame he hid out all the time. Not that she really blamed him though. He had a heavy bounty on his head, and there were always fools who would try to collect. But looking at him, one would think that he was just an ordinary, kind old man. As she walked out of the alcove ahead of him she watched from the corner of her eye as he followed, tucking his greying hair back from his face, his blue eyes twinkling as the wrinkles by his eyes creased gently. He wore his actual dress pants today, the black slacks creased perfectly along with his white shirt. He knew that he would be talking to someone today. He always knew.

He followed Kyou to the bar, his bare feet slapping gently against the wooden floors. It never ceased to amaze her that one such as him would still walk around barefoot. Absolutely amazing. She shook her head and went back to the bar, watching as James took a seat near the girl. His aura was definitely being kept low so as not to frighten her. After all, this young one looked ready to run at the slightest thing, even though there was no where for her to go.

James studied her for a moment, holding a slightly wrinkled hand out to the girl. "Hello young one. My name is James. I hear that you are looking for a job?" He was very gentle in his movements and voice. But that's how he'd always been.

As he spoke though, his gaze darkened a little, hearing the movements of two others about to enter. He looked at Kyou and raised an eyebrow, a silent exchange between the two. She simply nodded and he rose from his seat.

"Now, let us continue talking elsewhere. There's about to be company which I do not wish to deal with at the moment. Please follow me." He went back to his alcove, hoping that the girl would follow, leaving Kyou at the bar to welcome the two new people just as James left.

"Welcome travelers. May I get you something to drink?" She noticed the weapons, keeping an eye on the two of them as they moved.

Rain:] 12-09-2009 06:05 AM

Alohilani looked back as the two entered. They both had white hair and seemed to be male. No, wait, the other was female. They both had blades at their sides and black shirts on, contrasting with their hair. Alohilani was fascinated but again scared to death. She heard the man and followed him to wherever he had taken her. She was scared of the two that had entered, but she felt the slightest warmth in being with the man here, away from them.

Daeman35 12-09-2009 06:16 AM

(my characters arnt that scary are they?)

"I dont want to go anywhere anymore. We need to lay low for a while. No more traveling. The traveling is getting tiresome and the horses need rest. Lets wait here for a little while." The girl spoke to her brother in a sort of whiny voice.

"You know they will always be after us Kyrii. I cant let them get to you." As always the over protective brother. He had spoken in a low dark tone of You Know This Stuff So Quit Complaining.

She looked at her brother. "Just two days. We have been travaling for 2 weeks. 2 days should be a good time for rest. Come on please? Please please please." Her energy level was increasing and needed to be depleted. This place would do if they could stay. The forest is were she could release her energy and she could finally sleep on a bed and not the horse or the ground. For once she just wanted a bed. "Come on you cant expect a 15 year old to make it through this much travaling and not whine about staying somewhere that seems safe."

"Its not safe for you. We will find another home that is isolated where you can roam as freely as you wish. Understand?..." He sighs. "But i guess 2 days wont hurt seeing as we are almost 3 days ahead of them."

The girl looked up at the woman who had talked to them. "HI, um my brother would like a whiskey flat and ill just take some water. Do you perchance give out rooms?" She looked up at the woman curiously. "Do you have any food at all either?"

Kyou Blade 12-09-2009 06:23 AM

James led the girl back to a small alcove in the back that was only hidden by a sheer black curtain. The floor was covered in golden and blue pillows, ranging from small to large. This was his normal place to watch while being hidden. And when people came with weapons, he preffered to be hidden. He would hate to have to show his dark side already. Now wasn't the time for that. He settled on the floor, sighing as he did so, acting the part of an almost frail old man though he was far from it. He motioned to a cushion across from him.

"As I said, my name is James. And your looking for a job? How well can you keep secrets?"

It was a truly vital question, and he studied her face as he asked, waiting for her answer.

In the bar area, Kyou nodded to the two travelers, getting up to go grab a whiskey flat and a glass of water. She grabbed a bowl of bread and cheese in the process, bringing it all over to their table. She looked at their weapons as she set everything down and nodded a little, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well my dear, we do certainly have rooms, but their is one stipulation. Weapons are handed to me and stored in a safe room. This place is safer than you can imagine, so there is no purpose to holding onto them at the moment. That's really the only thing that we ask. Otherwise, rooms are free."

((Nah, my characters just worry a bit))

Daeman35 12-09-2009 06:39 AM

Kyrii took her weapons reluctantly off her belt and placed them on the table. She had the two swords and her Kusagama (scythe connected to a chain) placed together. She wrapped the Kusagama around her two swords in their sheathes. She chanted something on them as she wrapped them in the usual cloth she would put them in so they wouldnt get wet at night.

The man looked at the woman. She was an exquisite creature of beauty. He couldnt help but stare. Kyrii snapped her fingers in his face and he snapped out of it. He started to take out all his daggers, his throwing knives, the bastard sword and kunai he had on him. He also wrapped it in a cloth. The cloth bore the symbol of his family. He tied it closed as did kyrii to hers.

Kyrii handed her the weapons. "Take good care of them please." She smiled at the woman. They were specially handcrafted by her, including her brothers weapons, and she didnt want anything to happen to them.

"It is a reasonable rule. Will we be able to let our horses go in some sort of stable or should they stay tethered up outside?" She asked the woman curiously. Her brother couldnt stop staring so she kicked him in the shins. He snapped out of it again mummbling something and takeing the whiskey in his hands. He put the cup to his face but didnt drink just yet. Looking away so as to not stare anymore he took in what his home for the next two days would look like. Kyrii never put her hood down as her brothers fell off his head.

Kyou Blade 12-09-2009 06:55 AM

Kyou nodded gratefully to the girl, thankful that she didn't have to talk them into handing over their weapons. Some people tended to get upset about that rule. But after she showed the stubborn ones why they were so protected here, they immediately handed them over. Luckilly she didn't have to do that in this case. The girl was quite intelligent about all of this, which was very good. But the boy... well, she knew well what he was looking at. She could feel his eyes on her as she talked to his sister. She smiled a little at the two of them and picked up the weapons.

"There is indeed a stable out back. I'll take you to it in just a moment. Let me just go put these away."

She bundled all of them into her arms, careful not to disturb the wrappings on them. She noticed how the girl had chanted over hers, but didn't say anything. The room where they kept the weapons was much more powerful than the girl realised, but that was alright. She nodded to the two of them before wisking everything to a room that was nestled just behind the bar. She opened and closed the door behind her, setting the blades into a careful nook where she could remember where they were. As she left out of the room once more she whispered a single word to raise the guards on it, making certain it was secure before heading to a drawer that was behind the counter. She fumbled around in it before pulling out three keys and a piece of paper. She wrote a simply note on the paper before attaching it to one of the keys. The note simply said congratulations. She already knew that the girl James was talking to would be hired, so she figured she'd leave this out for her.

The other two keys she took to the brother and sister. She set them down, and nodded to them.

"Here's the keys to your rooms. If you only want one, that's fine, but since we don't have many customers I figured I'd give you an option. As I said, the stable is around back, help yourself. But for now, I'm going to head to bed. Don't worry about locking anything behind you. Nothing uninvited can enter here."

And with that she nodded, winking at the boy secretly before heading up the stairs to go to her own room. The first landing was where the hallway of guest rooms were, but up another flight was where the employee bed rooms were, including her own.

((Sorry, but I'm seriously about to fall asleep. I'll be back here tomorrow though. So please come back!))

Daeman35 12-09-2009 06:35 PM

"Hey Dy.. go on up to the room ill take care of the horses." before he could protest Kyrii put her hand up to stop him. "She said it was safe here and i trust her for that. You take this key and go to your room. Ill keep mine and take the horses into the back to take care of them. Dont protest. You need this more than me big brother." Looking at the blank stare of her brother after her whole schpiel she waved her hand in front of his face. "Hey are you listening?"

Before the woman had left she had winked at him. He couldnt help but be mesmorized. Not realizing what Kyrii had said he stared in the direction that the woman had walked away. Kyriis hand came in front of his face and he jolted out of his trance as she said. "Hey are you listening?" She looked sort of annoyed at him and her blue eyes were piercing through his silver ones. "yeah yeah yeah. Wait no what?"

Kyrii looked at her dumb brother as he spit out words of confusion. She rolled her eyes putting her hands on her hips. "You pick your room and im taking care of the horses"

"No way... You are not going outside" He said in protest grabbing her cloak.

She pushed his hand away. "She said the place was safe and thats all that matters. I will see you upstairs sleeping when i get back or ill strangle you. You work to hard." She said the last couple sentences jokingly.

He looked at her as if he was being forced to do what he didnt want to which was partially true. "Fine just dont come running to me if something happens. Well do come running to me." Grrr he was mixing up what he wanted to say. He was in some sort of trance over the woman.

Kyrii smiled handing him the key to his room. She grabbed hers putting it in her pocket and going out to the horses. She untied them and led both to the stables in the back were she put them in their own stalls for they were not big enough for both horses together. She grabbed a couple brushes from her bag and took off the saddle and halters. She placed those over the sides of the stalls and started to groom one of them. She made sure he was nice and soft before she put the blanket on him to sleep. She did the same with the other one but with a little more care seeing how it was her horse. She put the blanket on his back and then pet his head while leaning hers against it. "get some good rest boys." She walked back into the tavern going upstairs to her room.

He took the key after she had given it to him and went upstairs hoping to see the woman again. When he didnt see her he opened the room where his key fit and walked inside. It was a cozy place and he felt extremely drowsy when entering. He went to the bed laying down and falling asleep, forgetting to change.

Kyrii finally figured out which room was hers and walked inside. She changed out of her clothing and hung them up so they wouldnt just be something on the floor. She walked to her bed in her under clothing. Her fox tail was now free to roam and her ears wernt as ichy. She lay in the bed and went under the blankets. What a wonderful place.

Kyou Blade 12-10-2009 12:33 AM

With a wide yawn and stretch she started to rise from her night's rest. She'd needed the sleep quite desperately and felt much better afterwards. As she stretched her arms upwards, something else stretched out. At night she removed her choker, because otherwise she'd found that it could be quite uncomfortable. She slept with no one so she didn't have to worry about any others finding out what she was. It was always painful when they did realise. But even then none had ever figured out entirely what she was. After all, how many millenia old creations of the gods wandered about bartending? She reckoned she was the only one. Created by many gods in the image of man when man had first come about. How wonderful. Never did she age and never did she die. Well, she could die, but it wasn't fun. And she always got brought back with new parts.

This last time she had died one of the gods thought that it would be fun to make her look more... divine. And thus she was given wings. Now in these parts wings weren't so bad. There were far worse things. But most wings were not formed from the tiniest filaments of crystals. Each feather was worth a small fortune. As she relaxed a bit, sitting on the end of the bed her wings sparkled with all the colors of the rainbow in the dim light of her bedroom. With a small hand she grabbed her choker, quickly slipping it on before she got dressed. As the latch caught, the stone in the middle of it caused those gorgeous wings to start to be pulled into her body until the only mark left on her was a tattoo of two wings on her back. Most just thought they were a simple tattoo, which was fine for her.

With a slight moan she got up, glancing through her closet to find her clothes for the day. She quickly pulled out a steel grey mini skirt, black lacy petticoat, black short sleeved undershirt, and a grey corset that was decorated with orange and black swirls and twists. Upon slipping it all on she pulled on a pair of black boots. That was about as good as it would get.

Humming softly to herself she headed out of her room, stepping so gently that even in boots her feet were not heard. She had the grace of a dancer as she moved down to the bar, gently pulling out a washcloth from a drawer so that she could begin wiping down the counter.

Alohilani looked around, looking at the man. "Yes. I am looking for a job. And secrets? The few I have left in my memory sure aren't getting out. I don't do that to people who tell me things. It's downright rude." She looked at him, wondering if he had any secrets to tell and if he would or not. Hopefully it's not that dumb I CAN READ MINDS crap. I mean seriously, you're not psychic and you can't tell the future. It's impossible.

Dreizehn 12-10-2009 02:16 AM

A light drizzle had begun to fall outside ligth still shone through the patches of trees here and there. Hard leather boots could be heard crunching over the gravel road to the tavern. The traveler's eyes went to the road that he followed, the gravel seemed to be broken up by small patches of grass here and there hoping to reclaim the earth that someone had seemingly paved on years long past. It wasn't far now, he could see the lights that shone through the glass windows in the small but decent sized tavern. A brief glimpse of slight smile could be seen under the large black hood as the male's head tilted upwards to study the tavern closer.

He had been told about the place when he was in the town that was not so nearby, that it was a good place to go for things unsolved and untold. Simply curious about the place, Gren Eckheart had decided to check the place out for himself seeing that he was just a traveler these days. He reached the old wooden door and let himself in shutting it behind him before turning to admire the interior of the place and who it all held. It seemed that today was not as busy as he had assumed it would be, a few drunkards lulled together in one corner having clearly too much for the previous evening. Then again, it was still in the earlier hours of the day, many would be waking up and arriving later.

Deciding to find a place for himself at the main bar, Gren strode over and found a spot at one of the stools. Sitting down felt good, he had been walking for quite some time now and was weary with travel. He set a large travel pack at his feet holding his wares and clothing, along with other things.

"I need a bloody horse." He muttered softly pulling his hood back from his head. He ran a hand through his unruly, soft, spiky looking hair. It was the color of a dark sandy blonde, and looked almost like a small fierce lion's mane. In front of his slightly pointed ears longer pieces fell. Small pieces of white streaked his hair here and there though it was by no means due to old age. No, this young male looked to be in his mid twenties at a glance. His slightly almond shaped eyes, always serious looking; looked up at the ceiling curious about what was held on the floors above. His eyes a deep intense forest green with hints of sapphire blue in them. He wore simply clothing underneath his black traveling cloak, fitted leather that was colored a deep green almost black covered him. He wore a sleeveless tunic and pants, with black leather travel boots that came to his mid calf. He had an old samurai styled blade at his side, the handle intricate with a design of deep green leather and a faded crimson red weaving. He carried other small weapons under his cloak on his form, some unseen as others could be easily. He undid his sword sheath from his belt to place on top of the bar top counter.

Yawning he propped his head up with a hand on the bar getting comfortable, waiting to see what today would bring.

Daeman35 12-10-2009 02:31 AM

Kyrii woke up to the sound of chirping birds in the morning air. She went to the window and opened it. She smelled the morning air thinking to herself what a wonderful place this was. The tavern was quiet in the morning but she heard the woman upstairs rustling around. She went back to where the bathroom was ready to take a shower. She turned the water on seeing that it was a tub kind of bath and instead poured soap inside and let the water run. She took the wrapping off of her chest area and along with her underwear. She got into the nice warm bath turning off the water after a few minutes.

Dy woke up to the sounds of the woman moving around above him. He stared at the cieling putting his arms above his head and pictured what he would see if the room was glass. Such a beautiful woman was here and he got to meet her personally. She had winked at him last night. It was amusing to him. Would he try to woo her or would he take care of his rebellious little sister. He got up from watching the cieling and took his pants shirt and cloak off. He opened the bag he had with him and took out the spare clothing putting that on and leaving the cloak on his bed he went downstairs.

After about an hour of a bath she got up pulling a towel around her then wrapped it around her tail as she went into her bag for new clothes. She wrapped her chest area again making it as tight as it was last time and put her underwear on. She put on baggy pants so as to hide her tail and a hat to hide her ears. She looked like a guy as a disguise so others wouldnt know she was a girl. She put on her kimono top without closing it and headed downstairs.

Dy went into the corner of the bar on the far side of the stairs to sit getting ready to order. "Where is that little brat?" He was talking about his sister as she ran down the stairs. "She went towards him and accidently ran into the man at the bar (Gren) She fell backwards as her hat came off and looked up. Dy did a facepalm when it happened. Hopefully the man wouldnt notice the red ears in the midst of her hair.

((Pst, pst, his name is "Gren". n.n Nice to see ya again!))

Gren's bored expression changed as something ran into him. He slowly lifted his head from his hand and turned in the direction of the person that had apparently ran into him. His brows raised slightly in surprise spotting the red ears in the mess of her shortly cropped white hair. His eyes went to the opening in this person's clothing spotting the wrapping around their chest. This was not a simple chest wound wrap, no this was a wrapping done to hide her female-esqu features.

Standing now, Gren leaned down slightly offering a hand to the female. "You alright there?" He asked her, his voice deep but smooth. Sounding pleasant to most ears.

Upon hearing the door open she glanced up, her dual colored eyes roaming over the newcomer. Another one with a weapon. So many people in this day and age seemed to be insecure. But that was alright. It was understandable. She herself would of done the same if not for the fact that she couldn't die. She could be injured certainly. In fact she'd even been skinned alive before. So she understood the need for weapons. But they threw off the balance here. With a slight smile she nodded her head towards the newcomer, taking in his entire appearance. Ah, so was he an elf? It certainly seemed most likely, but she wasn't one to assume anything. There were many types with long pointy ears.

"Welcome my dear. Is there anything I can get you? A drink perhaps?"

As she heard footsteps coming down the stairs she looked up to see the boy from last night. Ah, so they had gotten to their rooms alright. That was good. He certainly looked more refreshed, and he still had that look in his eyes. She sighed softly and shook her head. Young ones always tended to get that look around her. It was alright though. She didn't mind.

"Good morning love. I don't believe I got your name last night. Or that of your sister."

And at the mention of said sister, she saw her come down the steps, but in her exhuberance she slipped into the newcomer, falling to the floor. She looked up, worry in her eyes as she peered over the counter, noticing the ears instantly. Ah, so that explained a bit.

"Are you alright dear?"

(Edited... i know long time no see or speak really lol)

Kyrii took his hand and got up. "Im fine thank you" She forgot her hat was off and looked at her brother who was standing staring at the figure now with his sister. He motioned for the hat to go back on. She jumped as if it just struck her and she bent over grabbing the hat. She put the hat on as she got back up. "Sorry for running into you." She smiled at him. Her brother still stood as being protective. She walked over sitting on the chair next to him.

As Kyrii fell Dy jumped up in alarm. He had asked if she was alright an held out a hand to her. She had taken it getting up. He saw the hat off of her and mouthed the words "the hat" to her. He also jestured putting his hands above his head as if putting on a hat. She jumped and picked it up. "Youve got to be more careful next time." He said to her as she walked over. He looked at the woman. "My name is Dy and this is my clumsy sister Kyrii"

"Oh please brother im fine. It was a simple mistake. So did you get breakfast yet?" She said as if she were teasing him. She got back up at a thought. "You know what i like. can you get me breakfast while i take care of Puck and Riley?" She didnt give him time to answer as she left through the door heading for the stables.

He shook his head as she left. "Of course i will as always if we ever stop at a tavern. She is such a handful." He sat down finally and examined the room.

Kyrii went to the stables to tend to the horses getting a bucket of feed and placing it in front of both stalls. She took a handfull in both hands giving it to her brothers horse Puck. He ate out of her hand and she slid the bucket to her horse who ate it out of the bucket. Going to get another bucket of feed she grabbed some brushes as well and took the blanket off of Puck. She placed the bucket in front of him and the blanket on the gate. Kyrii brushed him gently with each stroke to make sure he was groomed properly and comfortably. She did the same to Riley. After putting the blankets back on them and the buckets back where they belonged, Kyrii went back towards the tavern door.

((I know, right? lol ))

Gren smiled slightly at the female as he helped her stand. She was quick to move away from him and back over to her brother, he had heard they were siblings thanks to the lovely owner at the bar. He met eyes with the ever protective brother, Gren shrugged slightly at him before taking his seat once again. He had done the gesture in meaning that he had meant no harm to his younger sibling. His eyes now going to the woman that had asked if she could get him anything, Gren answered. "I would appreciate some breakfast if available and just some water right now, thank you." His eyes met her mismatched ones briefly before lowering them.

"Do you get much business in here these days?" He asked her his eyes on the counter top now as he waited for her answer. "Just curious what kind of people you're getting in here. Doesn't seem to be the most easily reached inn and tavern in these parts." His eyes went to her's once again as he fell silent.

Kyou Blade 12-10-2009 03:27 AM

Kyou watched the two siblings, smiling a bit to herself. It seemed that they were all they had for each other in the entire world. But as long as one had some sort of companion in life then they would be alright. That was something she'd learned very early. Having someone to love, even if it was only a sibling was a valuable asset. No, it was more than that. It was a necessity.

She tucked a strand of orange hair behind her ear, frowning as it fell back into her face. With a little sigh she pulled a hairband out from under the counter and tied her waist long fiery mane back into a ponytail to keep it out of the way. She had a feeling that it would be a busy day, and she would need to be uninhibited by it.

At hearing the two mention breakfast her own stomach rumbled lightly. Perhaps breakfast for everyone would be just the thing.

"What would you darlings like to eat this morning?" She said, addressing all of them as the girl went out to the stable.

Looking back at the new man she smiled. She'd felt his eyes meet her and already knew that he was curious. She was quite used to it, and she smiled gently, turning her back as she fixed him up a glass of water. She set it in front of him leaned against the bar top.

"We get busy every so often. This is a place where many come at different stages in their lives. Most are just wanderers or explorers. But others come here for a set purpose. We get people from every walk of life. Some are such that you would never even see them normally. Its a cross roads of sorts."

As she looked down she noticed his weapon. She'd completely forgotten about it. "I'm sorry my dear, but do you mind if I put the weapon away in the secure room for such things? We have a strict no weapons rule. The other two have done the same and I can guarantee not only your safety but the safety of the blade."

Gren watched as the woman behind the counter pulled up her hair. It was vibrant color that he was unfamiliar with, in his homeland there was no one seen with such vibrancy in their hair. Usually they came in shades of blonde, brunette, or black with the usual small hints of color to their specific species of breeding. He was not something common in his homelands having been cast out of his parts he was exiled to walk the earth never to find a home or a mate elsewhere. His story was a simple sad tale of how society seemed to have a certain way of thinking and that everything should fall into place just as that.

He heard the small rumblings of the woman's stomach, then she asked the question of what to eat. He was not one to be picky when it came to someone else cooking for him, though he would of course pay him. "Anything that the other two would like." He motioned with one hand towards the brother of the female from earlier.

"Thank you." He said with sincerity as he picked up the glass that she had set in front of him. He drank slowly and steadily from the glass draining it. It had been some time since he had had fresh water and it was good. Setting down the glass onto the counter he listened to her explain about the tavern's business. Nodding a few times in response to her as she explained, his strange eyes on the glass that he still held on the counter in one hand.

"Must be nice to meet new people constantly then. Makes for interesting times." He commented before she inquired about his sword. His gaze went to her's again as he picked up the sword's sheathe with his one free hand holding it out for her to take. "Its quite alright. Your place, your rules." He said with a slight grin. "Would you like the rest too then?" He asked as he began to remove his few slender daggers and throwing knives placing them on the counter top as well. "If I am to follow your policy I wish to do it to the fullest for your sake." He added.
