Morganville Vampires
 

I think this series takes an interesting look at Vampires. They are not that much different than humans and while they can be attractive are not strictly so. They are also not always good and friendly as so many books seem to portray now.

I also think this takes a realistic (as realistic as it can get) look at real relationships when it comes to say finding out your friend is the living dead? The people are not entranced and in fact they fear the creature higher up on the food chain, which I feel is a real human reaction. All together I love this series and have recently bought the newest book though I have no read it yet.

I am curious what you all think of this series.
