So, I'm all about the 1-on-1. [Lit. to Adv.]

Howdies, I’m Artemis. I 'm completely addicted to roleplaying, so I need someone to enable me. I think most genres and settings can be interesting, if you work with a good partner or group. I'll roleplay either gender and do you like waffles?

I'm starting a lot, but I keep losing people too! So please only volunteer if you plan to stick with it or let me know if you can't. Don't just disappear!

If you have a group rp that you think fits my interests, feel free to pm me or post it here. I look through the boards, but I can't read every thread! So, if it's something that you think I'd be a good fit for , let me know about it!

Rules: Yep I have some!
1.) Follow Menew TOS
2.) I don’t roleplay below the semi-literate level.
3.) Length and quality are appreciated.
4.) Chat speak, txtspk, 133+ are deal-breakers for me.
5.) I am busy, but very active. I prefer others who are also active.
6.) I love romance and violence.
7.) You godmod or powerplay me and we’re done.
8.) Don't disappear. I understand if you're busy, it's not working or something comes up. Let me know!
9.) I may amend these rules.

If something is marked with an asterisk (*), then it is something I would really like to do.

Plots: What might happen...
1. A fugitive is captured by a disillusioned officer. Then, the pair is swept into a futuristic parallel world. How will they survive? Will they rely on each other or tear themselves apart?

2. An Indian woman is swept into a world she doesn’t understand when a British officer takes her as an unwilling mistress. She shows him her culture and he begins to realize her worth.
*would still be willing to rp in this setting, just not this plot*

3. *A private detective (noir-style) takes on the case of a prominent politician’s murder. He uncovers that the widow may be hiding a secret life as a spy. The web of intrigue grows more intense as they are both kidnapped by her husband’s murderers.

4. A slave breaks free of her master and runs away. She encounters a man who shows her kindness. However, she may be mistaken about the man’s intentions and goodwill.

5. After a prank feud, two very competitive students (male and female, or both female if yuri) are forced to work together to save themselves from expulsion.

6. A young woman discovers her destiny is as a witch. She panics and tries to end her life. When she awakes, she is in a mental institution which is being attacked by evil forces. She must band together with a doctor, who is secretly a witch as well, to save the hospital and its inhabitants.

(I am open to more ideas, if they are sci-fi, modern, fantasy or yuri.)

firefly, you say? if you're still up for that i'd loooove a firefly roleplay. maybe just in that world rather than with the characters because i loaned my boxset to someone and haven't seen it in nearly a year now, so i'm a little fuzzy on the them.

I've watched enough Firefly (including the movie) and played the face-to-face pencil-and-dice version of the rpg "Serenity" a couple of times, so I am familiar with that and like the idea of playing something in that universe.

Also, I am trying to drum up interest in a Girl Genius Online Comics based roleplay (I have a thread I started but only one person replied so far).

I have run my own sites for roleplaying, and am about to start a couple of my own outside of this site that I can PM you links to if you are interested.

I am a veteran roleplayer and a semi-pro author (I got published a few times, but it isn't my "day job") and am open to a wide variety of genres.

I've watched tons more but these stand out in my mind as worlds I'd like to try to
play in. Not terribly interested in playing canon characters in these worlds, originals are what I'd go with.

Oh, and one last note. Vampires do NOT sparkle. IMHO the Twilight series is soft porn for tween and teen girls.

I'd be interested in putting together a Firefly rp. I'm not familiar with any of your other fandoms, outside of Harry Potter, which I have no interest in RPing.

It's quite funny that you've been published a few times. Writing is my day job. I'm a sports writer for a regional newspaper. I've had my fiction published, but wouldn't want to try to make a career of it!

In response to your comment about Twilight; a bit random, but agreed.

Would you like to do a roleplay where a king falls for the daughter of the duke, he then brings her fmaily into the castle, her and her sisiter in teh queens quart as ladies in waiting, then the king takes her as his mistresse.

Might be interesting, depends on the level of literacy.

I usually write 1-2 paragraphs. First two posts are always three. I have an above college reading level, and I can spell pretty good.

What time period are you thinking about? Regency, Tudor, Middle Ages... ?

I'd prefer Middle. I rather hate the Tudor era. Which characters would we be playing? Let's try it. Would you set up the thread and a skelly for character outline?
