Ava got up in the middle of the night to find her bullet wound had opened a bit. She got up and headed into the bathroom. Unwrapping her bandage. It was not too bad. Ava could fix it, and avoid spending a night down at the medical room. "Shaun Darling? Can you please come help me" She called while opening the first aid kit. She wet a cloth and held it onto her wound. |
"Sure precious." Shaun walked over to the bathroom and got out the medical kit. He found rubbin alchohol and medical glue.

Ava took the cloth away and applied the alcohol. The burning stung, making her bite her lip while she then put the glue over it. The glue dried fast allowing her to cover it up fully and more comfortably. "Those medics sometimes..." She sighed moving her arm around a bit. With much more ease than before. "Thank you love. Sorry for waking you... Lets go back to bed now" Ava cleaned up and went to lay back down again. Resting against Shaun.

Shaun layed down next to Ava. He kissed her cheek. "Night babe" he whisperd in her ear.

Before falling alseep, Ava turned off Shaun's alarm clock. "Day off tomorrow" She told him setting back in. "Night love." She whispered back, then fell right to sleep.

Shaun woke up late the next morning. It had been the first time he'd over slept in years. He gently woke up Ava. "Morning sunshine. We missed breakfast, but we can still get lunch."

Ava buried her head under the sheets. "I'm up I swear" She said groggily. She got up after a bit, kissing Shaun. "Alright. I'll just get ready." Ava told him, she got into the shower and got dressed.

Shaun got ready, and headed with Ava to the cafeteria. They sat and began their lunch. "So how are your wounds?"

"More of a tingling today, but much better since last night" She told him with a smile.

"We leave for the islands tomorrow. Do you want this to be a military ceremony or a private one?"
|
Ava thought for a second. Either way people from the military would be there. It was required to have witnesses. "Either way, I believe the squad should be there." She told him. All of them were like a big family sometimes.

"Since this is our day off, how about we go ride the Hovercycles?"
|
"Sounds like a plan." Ava said finishing her lunch.

Shaun and Ava got out a pair of hovercycles fom the hanger. "How about a race? 3 laps around the base."

"okay!" Ava said hoping on her cycle and taking off. Well before Shaun.

Shaun raced after Ava. She won the fist lap, he won the second. They both neared the finish line, neck and neck on the third lap.

They both won the third, and ended in a tie. Ava got off her Cycle laughing. It had been a while since they had fun.

Shaun took off his helmet. "What a rush!" He walked over and kissed Ava. "You do kow I had that race won, right?" Shaun said jokeingly.

"Lies" Ava said kissing him back. Her own heart was racing very fast.

Shaun and Ava headed back to their room to shower and pack. Shaun came up behined Ava and wrapped his armsaround her waist. "I can't wait for tomorrow."

Ava jumped a bit as he embraced her. She turned to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I can not wait either. It will be great"

Shaun whisperd in her ear. "I know." He kissed her on the neck.

Ava sat down in Shaun's lap. "What do we have left to do? Or have you taken care of everything?" She asked him.

"Everythings taken care off. we're cleared for two weeks leave. All we have to think about is being together." Shaun kissed Ava on the cheek, then playfuly fell bakwards with her on the bed.

Ava fell back with him laughing as a knock came to their door. "awww" She whispered getting up. Ava went to answer the door. Finding two Master chiefs and a counsel member standing there. Each appeared angry. "Umm, Shaun" she said moving away from the door. One Master Chief gave Ava a letter. "Do you recognize anything?" He asked staring her down. Ava opened the letter to find a picture of a man inside. She turned the picture around to find his name was Colin Locke. "My.. Brother?" She asked more to herself than anyone.
