Kiro watched as his opponent retreated from the battlefield and into their helicarrier's. He brought his mech back into the hanger and climbed out, looking around for Elsa to make sure she was alright.

Shaun arrived back at HQ. He showerd, debriefed hig command about the mission, and went back to his room to check on Ava.

Elsa had been in the safety area. They had to wait a few minutes before going back up. When they did though, some were rushed off to the medical wing. Elsa refused to go though. Mostly because of what they would say if they found her legs. She walked slowly up to The mech warriors. Helping a few of them out. Kiro was one of the last ones in. His mech took some pretty heavy damage. Some that could take weeks to get out. She sighed at the effort needed as Kiro got out. "I can tell your going to be a pain in the ass" Elsa said with a smile.
Ava still felt very tired. Even after hours and hours of sleep. She forced herself to get up, and sit at their desk. A letter for Shaun had arrived earlier that day. It waited for him on the dresser. She looked up as the door swung open. Reviling her worn out husband. Ava stood and took him by the hand, leading him to the bed to sit. She got behind him and rubbed his back. "How was your mission?" She whispered to him. |
Kiro shrugged,"Eh, it could have been worse. You could be out there picking up bits and pieces of the mech... if you lived. So, even if I am going to be a pain in the ass, it's all worth it." He stuffed his hands in his pockets and realized something,"Hey, where's my sword?"

"We delt them a dvastating blow. But right now I just want to relax with you." Shaun got up and kissed Ava, then he notice the letter on the desk. "Is this for me?"

Elsa just laughed at him a bit more. She stopped though when he asked about his sword. "I set it down right over here. I needed to help some of the other warriors since a lot of us were rushed to the medical bay." Elsa said turning and pucking up his sword from a table. Taking it back to him.
Ava kissed him back and crossed her legs. Sitting back on the bed. "Yeah. It came earlier" She told him with a small yawn. |
Kiro gently took the sword from Elsa and strapped it back to his waist. He looked over at his mech, seeing that some of the front plating had been melted off, the rest was just burned. Sighing, he turned back to Elsa once more,"How are you doing? Did you get hurt?"

Shaun opened it and read the letter. A grim look came over his face.

Elsa stepped to the front. Looking over the mech. Her eyes scanning over the entire mech. "I got a little burned. I've been through worse though." She told him, glancing into his eyes.
Ava looked up at Shaun. "What is it?" She asked him a bit worried now. |
"I've been reasigned. Command is sending me out to their second HQ in the mountains to work full time on the Rex."

Ava looked at him for a second. She did not really want to move locations. At least not for a long time. Still, she would go. "Does this mean we should start packing?" Ava said. Still unsure if if she was even allowed to go with him.

Shaun gave Ava a reasuring smile. "Of coures your coming. There is no way I am leaving pregnant wife behind." Shaun walked over and put his arms around Ava. "I will always be here for you, always."

"Good" Ava said with a smile, "Oh! The doctor today put me on a strict diet." Ava reached over to the side table and held up a piece of paper. On it listed a bunch of foods Ava was not allowed to have. "I can see beer, but I don't understand cookies." She told Shaun, the paper also said for her to watch her blood pressure. "He said that was higher than normal." Ava started to get up and start packing the few things they would need. Including a new kit for Shaun's arm and eye. Incase anything were to happen to him.

"No no no, you rest. Doctors orders. I'll pack." Shaun began packing everything for him and Ava.

Kiro averted his gaze from Elsa, blushing lightly. He wasn't as... composed as normal when he was around woman. He looked around the hanger, trying to think of something to change the subject to. He simply scratched the back of his head and looked at Elsa,"Um, I'm kinda hungry. Where do we get some food around here?"

"The cafeteria of coarse. I'm guessing you need help finding the place. yes?" Without even waiting for an answer, she started to walk away. This time towards a corridor. "No need to blush around me either, I know I'm sexy, but come on!" She joked with him. Waiting for a reaction as she hit the button for the elevator.
"I'm fine!" Ava said as Shaun started to pack for them. She eventually sat back down, which turned into her laying on the soft bed. "How long will we be away?" She asked pulling the covers over her. |
"They wern't specefic, but lets just say that they have a fully operationl hospital, complete with delivery rooms" Shaun said with a slight smile. He packed up all of their things, and he and Ava headed for the jet.

"I just hope to have him or her somewhere comfortable..." Ava said to herself as they left. She strapped herself into the seat. Working hard to find a bit of comfort around her slightly bigger stomach.

Shaun grabbed Ava's hand. "Just as long as I'm there." The jet took off, and landed a few hours later, landed on the snowy airstrip of union's mountain base.

Ava smiled at him as they took off. Leaning her head on his shoulder. As they landed, she bundled herself up as they landed. Knowing it would be very cold outside on the mountain.

Shaun and Ava got off the jet, and were greated by the high brass. They were then taken to their private room, which was bigger and more luxurious than their old one.

Ava took a step into the room. Her eyes were wide. "Why is it so luxurious?" She asked Shaun, taking a look in the bathroom, then closing the door. "There is even a bathtub in here. You must be moving up Shaun" She said turning. Setting her bag on the floor.

"This base is top secret. I'm the only one allowed to operate the Rex, so I got a promotion." Shaun put his arms around Ava. "I don't start till tomorrow, so let's spend the evening alone."

"That's great! I wish you told me earlier. I would have given you a drinky drink" Ava wrapped her arms around Shaun's neck. "That sounds great." She moved back a bit, holding her stomach. Still within Shaun's arms. "I think I just felt the baby move"

Shaun kneeled down, and placed his ear against Ava's stomach. "The baby's a real kicker all right" He then whiperd to it. "Hey there, I'm your daddy. You have a wonderful mom, and we cant wait to meet you."
