Ava found herself laying on the floor with both of the twin to the right. She was holding a mirror over their heads and explaining that it was them they saw. Sara just kicked her feet as Jason seemed to analyze the mirror.

A soldier knocked on Ava's door. She answerd and he had news. "There has been a serious accident, Mrs. Worthington. Your husband is in the hospital."

Ava quickly went to the phone and called for a nanny. The nanny arrived and she left with the solider. Her hands were shaking the entire way. Scared over what could have happened. They arrived at the hospital after some time and Ava was told to wait a bit longer. Shaun was in surgery.

A doctor came out and approached Ava. "Your husband's bones have all been shatterd, and his organs are all bleeding. To be honest, he shouldn't be alive. But something is keeping him going." The doctor paused for a moment. "There is only one way to save his life."

"What is it?" Ava asked him without any hesitation.
|
"We can place his brain in an android body. He will still look the same on the outside, but on the inside he will be all robot."
|
Ava looked away for a second. She would not have her husband back?.. "Is there no other way?"
|
"Your husband wouldn't be dead, just in a new body. The only other option is to pull the plug."
|
"But would he be himself?" Ava asked the doctor. She wanted what was best for Shaun.
|
"Yes, he would still be himself. You need not worry, his mind is perfectly intact."
|
Ava smiled at the doctor. "Do it then.. and give him soft skin. I think he would feel horrible if he hurt our children." Ava told the doctor and took a seat. Wiping a few tears from her eyes.

The doctor nodded, and went back into the O.R. A day passed, and the doctor approched Ava, telling her that she could see Shaun now.

In the mean time, Ava had called home almost one thousand times to check on the kids. They were doing fine, though did not like bottle milk very much. Ava did not sleep at all, and instead just waited in the waiting room for him. She followed the doctor who seemed a bit happier right now.

Shaun woke up, and saw Ava. "Ava, whats going on?" Shaun looked down at his body. "How did I get my regular arm back?"

Ava sat down on the edge of the bed. Taking his hand. It was warm, but different. She looked down into his confused eyes. "Shaun, you were ambushed by the empire... The only way to save you was to put your brain into an android body." Ava picked his hand up and kissed it. Unsure if he could feel it or not.

Shaun was confused. He was an android, but he could still feel. He leaned up and hugged Ava. "I can feel you, I'm sorry I scared you."

Ava hugged Shaun back. Unable to keep her tears back any longer. She buried her face into his shoulder and started to sob into him.

"Shh Shh, It's alright babe, I'm right here." Shaun held Ava reasuringly. "And I'm going to make sure that I never sare you or our children again."

Ava held him tighter. His new body was just so strange to her. It would take a while for her to get used to it. He was the same though. That was great to know. "How are you going to do that?" Ava asked him.

"I'm gong to take a job with high command. No more mech combat. That way I can be around to see our children grow up." Shaun pt his hand on Ava's face. Though his body was artifical, he could still feel her warmth.

"You love mech combat though. You probably the best the union has.. Its your choice sweetheart" Ava pulled back and wiped her eyes. She put her hand over his. Squeezing it slightly.

"There is only one thing in this universe that is important to me, and that's my family." Shaun kissed Ava deeply. His mind was made up.

"Alright Shaun. How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?" Ava asked him. Still very worried. Waking up to find you were now an android could not have been comforting.

"Actually, I feel the same. With the exception that I no longer have an appetiet, It's like nothing happened." Shaun got up and got dressed. "Come on, let's go home."

Ava got up to let him get ready to go. While he was getting dressed, Ava called home again. The poor nanny having to stay for that long. She clicked the phone down and smiled. "They are sleeping. We should get home to see them as they wake up for the day." Ava told Shaun when he came out. She yawned heavily and stretched. Tired from pulling an all niter waiting for the news.
