"That for the first time in a long time, I am happy." Shaun looke over at Ava and kissed her again.

She smiled at him. "You know your bosses may not like us being together." She said to him. The possibility of keep it a secret was always fun too.

"That's why we have secrets. We have nothing to worry about." Shaun put his arm around Ava.

Ava nodded against his chest. Relaxing as a knock came to her door. Sighing Ava got up. Opening her door just a crack. It was one of the mechanics who worked on her mech. "yes?" Ava asked. "Sorry to bother you so late in the night Miss Locke. You are temporary out of commission. Your mech has severe damages" he spoke while flipping through some papers. He handed her a copy of the report. "Thank you" Ava told the man as he walked off. She closed and re-locked her door. "Just love it when they tell me things I already know" Ava told Shaun as she laid back down in his arms. Looking over the paper.

"Maybe I can get them to put on the high grade armor for your mech like there is on mine."

Ava shook her head. "I rarely get hit because my mech is built for speed. Heavy armor will only weight it down." She then put the paper on her side table, trying to forget about work. "I do not want to think of work right now..."

"Your right." Shaun kissed Ava again, this time deeply and passionetly.

Ava kissed him back. Running her fingers though his blond hair.

Shaun corressed her body with his hands. feeling how beautiful she was.

Ava laid back in bed. Completely out of breath. She whipped a bit of sweat from her forehead. "wow.." She muttered to Shaun as he laid next to her. |
Shaun looked over at Ava. "You were amazing."

Ava turned to him. Laying on her side. "You weren't so bad yourself"

Shaun got and got dressed. "I'm going to get some breakfast. You want some?"

"Sure. I'll just shower first." Ava told him, getting up. She went into her closet, taking a towel out. "I'll meet you there, okay?" She said to him, walking back to him. Giving him another kiss.

Shaun head to the mess hall. He stopped by his room and noticed a letter by his door. He took it with him, decideing to read it later.

Ava got into the shower. Washing all of Shaun off of her. She was done within minutes. She got out and got changed into her usual clothes before heading to the mess hall. To her surprise, Shaun wasn't there just yet. She wondered where he was, but at the same time she decided to get food and sit at the usual table for Shaun's squad.

Shaun entered the caffeteria. He found AVa, got some food, and sat to join her.

Ava looked up as Shaun sat back down. "Hello Sir, anything new?" she said. Just as if it were a normal day.

"I found this envelop outside my room Ava. I think it's from high command." Shaun opened the envelop and read it. "It says we're being shipped out to the volcanic islands near the south pole."

'When?" She asked knowing there was nothing down there to do besides work. The islands were one of the worst places to be stationed. She sighed finishing her meal.

"Tomorrow. They want us there to guard some some sort of project. Oh, and they're giving you a replacement mech."

Ava snapped her fingers. "So much for time off." There were a few snickers from down the table. "guess I'll have to just go out today."

"Alright. We'll meet up in the hanger after breakfast." Shaun smiled and winked at Ava.

"Who said I wanted to go out with you" She said smiling at him. Leaning back in her seat. "I'll see you there Sir"

After breakfast, Shaun went to the locker room and put on his flight suit. He then headed to the hanger and readied his mech.
