"That would work," Yugi replied. "All right, let's get started on it then."

"Yay!" Yana said. Little did Yugi know that the friend who gave Yana the card was Marcia, who loves all atributes, but gave her the card as a friendship present, just like what Yugi did to Rebecca those many years ago.

"It looks like you've got a pretty good deck base already," Yugi said when he saw the cards in Yana's 'casual' deck. "All you're going to need to do is add more cards that support each other."

Yana stared at her deck layed out. There was different atrubutes but mostly dark.
"I guess you're right dad" she finally said. |
"You see these 15-20 cards right here? Those are your deck base. The rest can be switched out to make your deck stronger and work with different combos against different opponents." Yugi explained as they worked. "I'd say that you can keep a lot of these cards, especially the base. You just need to add and take out more cards to make it more able to support each card."

After a whole 3 hrs (Ashleigh popped in to say that she will be staying in Melhana's quaters, just to be on the safe side, and watching a LOT of DVDs to watch different combos used. Yugi had to hid his face in a couple of epsoides), the deck was completely finished, and Yana was sleeping on Yugi's lap (as 3yr old would've on a parent's lap).

Yugi gently stroked his daughter's hair as he looked at the clock on the table. It was a little past midnight. Why does it feel like back in high school, when all the weirdness first started? he thought.
Selena was in bed in her apartment, sleeping. But she wasn't sleeping peacefully; she was having a nightmare. Selena was surrounded by a dark mist, preventing her from seeing where she was. "Hello?" She called. No answer. "HEY! ANYONE HERE!?" She shouted. As if in reply, the mist parted in front of her, revealing someone encased in crystal. And that someone was Yusei Fudo. "Yusei!" Selena exclaimed. She ran up to the crystal prison and placed her hand on it, feeling that it was ice cold. Yusei's eyes were open, but empty, as if no one was there. His face was blank and body limp in his crystalline prison. What happened? Selena thought. Moments later, the crystal shattered, taking with it the one encased within. "YUSEI!!!!" Selena shrieked. Selena awoke, a scream being cut off as a strangled croak and a fit of coughs. She placed her hand gently to her throat where the bandages were and stayed still for almost a minute, waiting for her pounding heart to slow down. What was that? She thought. She looked in the window, and saw in her reflection that her Demon Eye was fully active. That's wierd, my right eye has never activated in my sleep before. She took out her cartouche dog tags and looked at them in the palm of her hand. Something's going to go terribly wrong soon, I can feel it. |
For Ashleigh who was in Melhana's quaters for safety reasons, she aslo had a nightmare.
Ashleigh was walking on a dark path in a dark place. She didn't know where she was. "What the hell? I just hope that Atem doesn't jump out of nowhere" she said Then she felt a hand on her sholder and she turned around. It was the Leader. "Leave me alone" she cried and ran as fast as she can. As she ran, she bumped into Yusei. She noticed that he was not himself. Before she was able to escape, Yusei put his arm around her neck. "Why are you doing this?" Ashleigh asked. Yusei just smiled wickedly. Then the poor girl fell into darkness, her power coming out of her....... Ashleigh screamed on the top of her lungs, waking poor Melhana up, and herself up sweating all over. What was that? she thought, And why is Yusei on their side? Am I in more danger? |
Right before Ashleigh screamed and woke her up, Melhana had a nightmare of her own.
She was surrounded by purple flames, and the Seal of Orichalcos was upon the ground. A duel was about to begin. This is fucked up. She thought. "I'd at least like to know my opponent!" She called. "And you will." Someone said from the shadows. He strode forward. It was Yusei, and he was possessed; his mark was blood red, almost as if it were a bloody tear... "Yusei, snap out of it!" Melhana shouted. "I don't want to duel you like this!" "You've got no choice." Yusei said. "In fact, you've already lost. Have fun in the Shadow Realm.” Shadowy tentacles sprung up from the ground and wrapped themselves around Melhana so tight that she couldn’t move. Slowly, they dragged her down. She looked outside of the flames, and saw Atem’s shape. “Atem, help! Find a way to snap Yusei out of it!” She yelled. “No can do, Mel.” Atem said. For a second his face was illuminated, and Melhana saw that the Seal was burning cold and green upon his brow, and there were markings on his face. There was also a mark burning on his arm; that of a stylized hawk. Her ancestor was a Dark Singer, seduced by the Orichalcos. “Goodbye. And I truly am sorry about Yugi.” When he said this, Melhana’s eyes were drawn to the ground. Yugi was laying on his back, his eyes wide and empty, his heart and throat ripped out. Atem’s hands were covered in blood and he was holding a silver dagger, which was engraved with the same hawk that was burning on his arm. “YUGI!!! Atem, wake up you bastard!” Melhana screamed. “WAKE UP!!!! WAKE—” She was cut off as the darkness enveloped her face and drew her down completely into the Shadow Realm. “—hana! Melhana!” Neferhenta was saying. “Snap out of it!” Melhana’s eyes snapped open. She was breathing heavily as she laid in her bed. “Oh god, what the fuck was that?” “You were having some sort of nightmare, I couldn’t get into your soul room. You’d locked me out.” Neferhenta said. “What was it?” Melhana sat up and put her head in her hands. “I—I had been dueling Yusei, and he must have beaten me because he was sending me to the Shadow Realm.” She said. “Atem was there, but he…he…he didn’t help, said that he felt sorry about Yugi….oh, Ra, he’d killed Yugi, and had the seal of Orichalcos on his forehead and a Dark Signer mark on his right arm.” Neferhenta was completely still. “Mel, was dad….Was there something in his past that he greatly regrets?” Melhana nodded. “Yeah. Back in high school, he played the Seal of Orichalcos in a duel, and lost. Yugi gave up his own soul to save him, but he felt that it was his fault and that he was evil for it.” She explained. “That scar on his stomach is from just after, when he had a second Orichalcos duel to atone for what he did. One of the Orichalcos monsters appeared, and stabbed him through the stomach.” Melhana hugged herself, looking like a small, scared girl. “He nearly died.” Neferhenta was looking at her with concern. She pulled a lock of her curly, brown hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. “You said that he was a Dark Signer in that dream, as well as the Orichalcos.” She said. “It could be that they’ll try and use those memories against him to bring them over to their side.” Melhana looked at her. “You know as well as I that Atem isn’t going to play the Seal again.” She said. “No, he won’t.” Neferhenta said. “My guess is that it’ll be by force.” “Gods no,” Melhana whispered. “We’ve already lost Kaiba and Yusei, we can’t lose Atem too…” |
Aka appeared beside Melhana.
"Funny. I had the exact same nightmare, but this time, Atem was holding Ashliegh around her neck. I was so helpless. I just hope that no-one else gets turned against us" she said. Then it was that scream. "Oh, I hope it isn't Ashleigh" Aka groaned. |
"I think it was," Melhana said. She threw off her covers and ran to Ashleigh's room, to see the poor girl sitting upright with her elbows on her knees and her face in her hands. Melhana strode over to Ashleigh's bed and sat down. "Let me guess, nightmare?" She asked.

Ashleigh nodded without speaking a word.
"Uh oh. This isn't good" Aka said. |
"I'll say," Melhana replied.
Aoi, meanwhile, was having trouble sleeping, so she was working on her dissertation for her physics PhD. As she was doing so, she decided to access the power of her Tauk to get a glimpse into the future... Judai was dueling Yusei, who's eyes had a red tint to them. He was smirking cruelly as Judai gasped for air after a direct attack. "Pathetic." Yusei spat. "You've gotta snap out of this!" Judai said. He drew. A drop of blood fell from his hand as he did so. "Throw all you've got at me, I won't give up! Please, Yusei, I know what you're going through, as I've been there myself. Snap out of it!" "Heh, you idiot." Yusei replied coldly. "You've been backed into a corner. There's nothing you can do. Make your pathetic move, for all the good it'll do!" "Fine," Judai replied. He gritted his teeth, then took a card from his hand. "I place one card face-down and end my turn." "So it's back to me." Yusei said as he drew. "Well, I guess it's time to put you out of your misery, Yuki. Turbo Warrior, attack him directly!" "I activate Negate Attack!" Judai countered. "I counter with Remove Trap." Yusei said. "Goodbye, Judai." The attack hit, sending Judai flying. His Life Points fell to zero. Yusei strode up to him as Judai was picking himself up off the ground. Aoi saw that the mark on Yusei's face was red, as if a bloody tear had fallen down his face. "You know what you get now, Yuki. A penalty game." He placed his index finger on Judai's forehead. "Say goodbye to the light of thise world." Judai screamed as a bolt of power surged through him. In a moment, it was over. Judai fell to his knees and slumped forward, his eyes blank..... Aoi snapped her eyes open. "That's not good," She said. |
Meanwhile, Saharia was using her time powers to see what was to come. Images shows that The fore was really hard to beat, Aka singing and something relating to bugs. That she wasn't sure what that ment. What struck her is that the foe left Ashleigh close to death. Thats then she stopped.
I have to warn everyone. And what the hell is it with the bugs? she thought, And it seems for the ones who is involved in the operation is having nightmares. What does that mean? |
"I'm just wondering what all this means," Neferhenta said. "You, Ashleigh, and Aka all had a nightmare pertaining to Yusei, and in the case of Melhana and Aka, my father."
"I wonder, what do you want to ben Selena's had a nightmare of her own like this?" Melhana said. "I wouldn't be surprised." Neferhenta replied. |
"This is really bad. I wonder what they want with Ashleigh's power?" Aka asked the girls, "And should I alert Yugi about this?"

"It wouldn't be a bad idea." Melhana said. "I'll text Selena and see if she's having the same problem."

Aka nodded and left for Yana's room. When she got there, Yana was sleeping on the couch while Yugi was sleeping on her bed.
So far, so good she said and shook Yugi awake, which was lucky since he was about to have a nightmare too. |
Yugi's eyes snapped open and his arm swung up in self-defense. After a moment his brain realized that this was real life and not the nightmare he'd just been pulled out of, and the person waking him up was Aka. He relaxed. "Good, it's only you." he said.

"You too huh?" Aka asked, concerned.

Yugi nodded. "I...I was having a nightmare." He said. "Problem is it felt too damned real...."
"You all right? Everyone's been having nightmares." Melhana texted Selena. "You too?" Was Selena's reply. "Lemme guess; it was related to Yusei?" Melhana asked via text. "Yeah. He was trapped in a crystal, which shattered." Selena replied. Then Melhana's phone went off again with a question this time: "What does this mean?" |
Another text came though.
"Ok, group meeting in Mel's room. NOW!" That was from Saharia. |
"Got it. Already on my way." Selena replied.
"Think I should wake up Yana and get her involved?" Yugi asked. He was worried about his daughter, and a bit hesitant about involving her in the present mess. |
"No, she's sleeping perfectly. No need to disturb her whatsoever" Aka said in reply.

"Good," Yugi said in relief. He slipped his slippers on and headed out the door to Melhana's apartment.
Aoi pulled on her dressing gown and headed out as well. So much for my dissertation, She thought. |
