It was Yusei. 'You're not the only one, Akiza.' He said.
Johan drew. Damn...I can't use anything I've got in my hand right now, He thought. He looked at Yusei's field. No monsters, but that face-down could be a problem. I guess I'll have to risk it... "Sapphire Pegasus, attack Yusei directly!" Johan said. The winged horse attacked, but it was intercepted as Yusei activated his trap. "I activate Magic Cyllindar!" Yusei countered. Sapphire Pegasus' attack was stopped, and a blast of energy eminated from deep within one of the cyllindars, heading straight for Johan. Shit...! Was Johan's last thought as the last of his life points were obliterated. Yusei looked at Johan with an expressionless face. "Too bad you didn't beat me," he said as the holograms faded. "Since you like your Crystal Beasts so much, maybe you wouldn't be against becoming a crystal yourself." "What're you talking about?" Johan asked. He was stopped as he felt an intense pain shoot through his skull, bringing him to his kness, his head in his hand. "What the--?" 'Since you're so fond of precious stones, how's about we encase you in one? Maybe...amber?' Yusei's voice echoed in his head. "What're you...how're you talking to me in my mind?" Johan asked through the pain. He twisted his eyes shut, which didn't make things better. In fact, it only made things worse. He was standing somewhere, surrounded by darkness. For some reason, he couldn't move his feet. "What's going on?!" He demanded, panic starting to rise in his voice. He looked down, and as he watched solid amber started creeping up his legs. "No way! Let me out of here!" He shouted. "No can do," Yusei replied, leaning against a wall, watching as Johan was struggling against the amber, which was rapidly rising to his waist. "You lost the duel, and now you mus pay the price." Johan continued to struggle. "Get me out of here! Help!" He shouted. Yusei laughed. "This is your mind, Johan Anderson. The only ones who can hear you scream are you and I. And considering how I'm not going to help you out of there..." Yusei smirked, his eyes cold as ice. "I hope you enjoy being encased in an amber prison." "GAHH!!! GET BACK HERE!!!" Johan shouted as the amber trapped his arms. Now it was advancing on his chest, and there were mere minutes before he was completely entrapped. "GET BACK HERE YUSEI FUDO--!!!" His final shout was cut off as he was completely encased in the amber stone, and no one was there to help. Judai could only watch in horror from the competitor's booth as Johan collapsed to the ground, unconcious. He saw his friend's duel spirit, Ruby Carbuncle, nudge his face with her nose, trying to get him to wake up. Judai's hands clenched into fists. "Damn it, Yusei. What the hell's wrong with you?" He growled, his eyes flashing the unnatural green and orange. "I swear, when I find out what you did to Johan you're gong to pay!" Winged Kuriboh landed on his shoulder and tried to console him. It worked a bit, though Judai was still royally pissed. "I know, Kuriboh. That's not the Yusei we know." He said. His hands were still fists, and he clenched them tighter, drawing a tiny bit of blood. "But that doesn't mean that I won't kick his ass." |
This has to stop! Aki yelled. The dark half of Ashleigh walked down. Her hair was tied up into a pontail.
"Too bad Johan lost. He should know, if he faces one of us, and loose, you have to play a shadow game. Remember that" she said as she walked down the hall. Aki broke down and cried. "Yo, Yusei, Atem. I got a message from D. L. Kai!" Dark Ashleigh said, taking out a peice of paper when she was with the boys. |
'I know,' Yusei said, drawing closer to Akiza and holding her close as best he could. His form was flickering. 'I wish I had more time, I really do.' He whisepered, wishing that he was corpeal so that he could let Akiza cry on his shoulder.
"What is it?" Yusei asked as Johan was carried away on a stretcher. |
A image appeared on the paper.
"It's one of those messages. Not a relay" the woman said. 'Huh? Did I just heard you speak?' Aki asked. |
"Yay. A hologram." Yusei said. "So, what's the boss got to say?"
Judai was running full-tilt down the hall, knocking into people no matter how hard he tried to stay out of their way. "Sorry, I'm in a hurry, bigtime!" He called back to the people he'd been bumping into. At one point, he rammed headfirst into Fubuki. "Agh, sorry about that senpai..." he said distractedly. Yusei nodded. 'You're the only one I've got enough energy left to contact though. This is probably the last time I'll be able to contact anyone in Team 5Ds too.' He replied. 'Please, Akiza, if it comes to it, don't be afraid to hurt me if you're forced to duel me. I don't want to see what happened to Johan happen to you too. Whatever you do, go all-out. Try and kill me if you have to; just keep yourself from losing.' |
Aki nodded.
'What do you want me to say to the rest of the team?' she asked Yusei. |
'I...' Yusei started, hesitant about what to say. I doubt I even have a day left, He thought to himself.
'Tell them...that I'm lost. There's not going back unless they do what I asked you guys to do before the tournament.' Yusei replied grimly. 'I hate to say it, but it's true. Oh god do I wish it wasn't.' Kaimiri's face appeared in the image on the paper. "I just saw your duel against Johan Andersen on the telly. Good work." He said appraisingly. "Thank, Lord Kaimiri." Yusei said, inclining his head slightly. "What was your message, sir?" "Bring me Judai Yuki. I don't care how, just bring him to me." Kaimiri replied. "We're ready to start the second phase." |
"Don't worry about that. I did what you asked. Rigged the pool to make those two duel. When are we going to capture that two-goody fairy? Just looking at her makes me puke" the woman asked.
"We must be patient. You know that, we all do" Atem said. |
"Good," Kaimiri replied. "And don't worry, we'll have Ashleigh soon enough. I've got plans to get her, as well as Judai."
Yusei sneered. "I'm going to have fun with that hero duelist." He said. "I've got something in mind for him that's even worse than what I did to his buddy." |
"What about that Akiza chick? That the one who is trying to take contol loves?" she asked, "What should we do to her? She might bring her back, spoiling our plans?"

"I've been thinking about that snag." Kaimiri said. "She will be quite useful, I think. Yusei, I want you to get control of her through a Shadow Game."
Yusei nodded. It was the perfect way to torment his old self, who was still trying to regain control. "Oh, I won't fail you there." He said smugly. |
"Good idea. But the only way you can do that if both she and you get knocked out of the tournament and I can set an special arena for it" the woman replied.

"Or if I face her during the tournament." Yusei pointed out.

"It's impossible when you face Yugi. He's way too good" Atem said, "I advice you to be knocked out of the tornament first before then. Yugi has the power to get somebody back as well. It's best to be knocked out by somebody who doesn't know you at all."
"I agree" the woman said. There was a long silence for a while. "You know what's happening right?" Fubuki asked. |
"We'll see when the time comes." Yusei said. "Either way, even if I get knocked out of the tournament, the plans are still going to go forward."
"If you're talking about how this tournament's off, then yeah." Judai replied. "I take it you've heard about what happened to Johan? Either way, I really need to get past so I can get to the infirmary. I'm going to see how bad it is, sempai." |
"Its much worse than last time" Fubuki replied, "in fact, we had Ashleigh here a few minutes ago. She said that inside, he's encased in a crystal and there is no way he will be able to get out till everything is over."
"I see. What's my next order my lord?" the woman asked. |
Judai's breath caught in his throat. No...I refuse to believe that! He thought.
"I'm going to check on him anyway," Judai replied. "Thanks though...." With that he continued on, refusing to believe that there was no way to get his friend back. "Kill Kamikaze Sakura." Kaimiri replied. "Her right eye has a curse with it. She should have died from it a long time ago. And when you kill her, make sure that woman suffers as much as possible. Even hurt her friends before you take her life, to intenisfy and prolong the agony." Her right eye? Yusei thought. I wonder what kind of curse it has. |
"When should I do that my lord" the woman asked.
"You're not allowed to you barstard" Fukuki yelled. |
"Any time you like," Kaimiri replied. "Just make sure her death is as slow and painful as you can make it."
"And why the hell not?!" Judai yelled back. 'Judai, don't lose your head.' Yubel warned. 'Stay out of this, Yubel!' Judai replied hotly. 'Whatever you say...but don't blame me if you wind up drooling on the floor with your nose busted and a few teeth missing.' Yubel sighed. |
"No one is allowed to enter. I even got asked to leave that area" Fubuki said back.
"will do my lord" the woman replied. |
Judai stood still, his back to Fubuki, his hands clenched and his head down. Part of him was pissed, and part of him just desperatly wanted to check on Johan to make sure he was okay. "D'you....Are you sure there's now way to help him snap out of this?" He asked quietly.
"I have orders for you as well, Atem." Kaimiri said. "I know that Melhana has solved the Star's Puzzle. Bring her to me. I tried turning her before, but it didn't work. I would like to try again, in person this time." |
"I will try" Atem said.
Crap! And I though that Melhana is safe! I better warn her a bit later without them with me he thought. |
Kaimiri nodded. "Good. I hope we all get what we're looking for." The image on the paper faded, leaving it blank once more.
"So, get Yuki, kill Sakura, and turn Ankh." Yusei said. "Sounds easy. Doubt it will be especially with Ankh." At the same time, Sora strode up to the two young men. "I heard you two shouting. What's wrong?" She asked. The looks she got from Fubuki and Judai were far from kind. Scorpio chittered and hid behind her leg. She had her motorcycle helmet under her arm, having just come from the racing track. |
"She has a strong will power and her powers, it will be hard" Atem said.
"Ok, we go our seperate ways for now. I got my weapon to sharpen" the woman said and darted off. "I'm going to see if Ankh has arrived yet" Atem said and he ran off, leaving Yusei alone. "You haven't herd Sora?" Fubuki asked. |
Sora shook her head. "I just got here." She said, indicating the helmet. "I'm guessing something happened to one of the guys?"
"I'll be in the lounge then, as I'm done dueling for the day." Yusei replied, striding off in his own direction. "See you." |
