Before Dark Ashleigh left, Kaimiri opened the box. It showed a beautiful necklace with a opal stone in the middle. He placed it around her neck. "Um....thank you" she said. |
Selena raised an eyebrow. "I guess that makes you a powerful duelist, then." Selena replied.
"No thanks needed." Kaimiri replied evenly. |
"Not as a duelist. I'm a black belt you see" Ruby said.
Dark Ashleigh looked at Kaimiri and saw that he was truly in love with the entity. She just nodded. |
"So Max was recruiting you for your fighting power, not your dueling skill." Selena replied.

"Yes, that is exactly right. Anyway, this isn't about me, it's about Ashleigh" Ruby said, "That's why I'm here to talk about anyway."

"I know," Selena replied. "So, you're saying you'll be her mentor?"

"Yeah, advanced planning. That's one thing I don't get. I been in the buisness a few years and already paired me up with a future angel who always pushing help away to help them. Weird" Ruby replied.

"I don't get it either." Selena replied. "If she wanted to help....then the last thing she should be doing is pushing everyone away."

"Well, when she's in the business, that's her first lesson. DON'T push any angels you are paired up with, they're the only communication and companions you get" Ruby said.

"What do you mean by that?" Selena asked.

"Meaning, if you say no to any angels for any missons, they go alone and won't receive any contact until the mission is over" Ruby replied, "and that was the first thing any beginner angel get taught. So that's going to be a challenge for her."

"I'll say," Selena replied. "Good luck pounding that into her brain."

"I saw what happened after you left the room in Kaimiri's realm, and I know that you knew about it. Did you actually know that there was a piece of that enchantment was left in her body?" Ruby asked, "the part that the victim couldn't remember doing things under Kaimiri's control?"

Selena hesitated. "I'm sorry to say that I did," She replied. "I could sense it in her when we got her back." She shook her head. "I knew I should've told everyone about it...."

"Then you should know what to do in your next encounter. And on another note, you should know this but I'm going to say it anyway. D-Day is going to be moved back. I don't know how (Free Will) or how many weeks, but what I do know that someone's going to do some MAJOR damage" Ruby said, "Now, show me where Yugi is. We don't have time to loose."

Selena nodded. "Right," She said, with a feeling that she had a good idea of who was going to do the damage. "Follow me," with that she led Ruby out of her quarters, locked the door, and headed for the elevator.

"Why are you living underground?" Ruby asked, "No air curularation, no sunlight...."
"Is that you?" a voice popped up. The pair turned around and there stood Marcia. "Marcia....." Ruby started to say then reliased who is the one of concern here. "Well, come on! We can talk all the way to sick bay" she said. |
"The old HQ was destroyed," Selena replied. "There's air circulation, but it's artificial. This is the emergency base until the new, permanent one is finished."

"I see" Ruby replied and the trio entered the elevator. Then both girls hugged.
"I can't believe I can see you again Ruby" Marcia said, which made Selena confused. "Me too Marcia, me too" Ruby replied. |
"Uh, Marcia," Selena said. "Didn't Ruby, well, die?"

"Yeah, but that's my nickname for her" Marcia replied.
"She's right. Before I died, my name was Raynia, and I had dirty orange hair, not red hair. Ruby is my Angel name" Ruby explained. |
"Then you hair must've changed color when you died," Selena said as the elevator reached the sickbay level. The doors slid open and the three girls stepped off the elevator. "What do you think you'll be able to do for Yugi?" She asked.

"Depends on the damage. If it's 10%, the doctors can deal with it, 30%-50%, it's mixed. If 60% and above, I have to heal him. 100% but not dead for long or under 4 days, I be able to bring him back to life. Over 4 days, nothing can be done" Ruby replied.

"I'd say the damage is at least 70%," Selena replied as they entered Sickbay. "Where's Yugi?" She asked one of the doctors.
He pointed. "He's in intensive care. We can't find anything that'll work on the poison that was used on him." He replied. "We've got him on life support. They way I see it, there's probably a 20% chance he'll make it. If that." |
