"Again, not listening. I said I have a feeling that it's NOT going to happen next week, shesh!" Ruby replied, "they picked the wrong angel gal to do this."

"Oh." Jonouchi said as Selena let out a sigh of relief. As did Yugi.
"We'll get some extra time to prepare then," Melhana said. "Any idea how it'll get delayed?" |
Ruby shook her head.
"That I don't know. But I know it has something to do with a certain smart ass rich kid" she replied. |
"Kaiba." Selena, Yugi, and Jonouchi said in unison.
"Please don't tell me it invovles him going overboard?" Melhana asked, pinching the bridge of her nose. |
"Again, I don't know. We have to take it as it happens" Ruby replied, "What happens is upto you."

"Well, we all know that when Kaiba gets his mind set on something it's a lost cause to get him off of it," Selena says. "No doubt we've all run into that dilemma."
"Got that right," Yugi said. |
"Then my job's here nearly done then" Ruby said, "do you know where I can crash until Yusei's return?"
When the pair was coming back from the courtyard, they spotted Ashleigh walking to the throne room. "I'm sure I locked the door" Dark Ashleigh said, "unless....." |
"You can stay with me," Selena said. "I don't think you want to stay with Melhana and Ryo right now considering...."
"Shut up! We haven't done that!" Melhana replied to the tease. "I could've sworn the door was locked." Kaimiri said when he saw Ashleigh enter. "And pray tell, why have you come here?" |
Ruby giggled.
"Following the until marriage rule. Nice! I talk your offer Selena. Thank you" she said. "Your father wishes to speak with you" Ashleigh replied, then she entered the room. She stood in front of the ruler, who was looking quite pleased. |
"Father," Kaimiri said. "To what do I owe this pleasure?"
"No problem," Selena replied. "And you know I won't stop teasing, Mel." Melhana only flipped the other woman off. |
"And they wanted me to deal with this group" Ruby said.
"I feel your pain" Saharia replied. Marica just nodded. Kaimiri's father motioned to the wristband on Kaimiri's wrist. "I think he wants you to activate it" Dark Ashleigh translated. |
"Oh, you've got your work cut out for you." Selena said, steering the girl out of the hospital room. "Trust me, you do."
Kaimiri obeyed, and turned on the wristband. "Now what?" He asked. |
"Oh? Why's that?" Ruby asked.
The stone activated, morphing the girl to something else. A black dress appeared with a red band around her waist. A red hairband appeared on her head and a pair of red shoes attached to her feet. a pair of black and red long dropped earrings appeared on her earlobes and a pair of black wings sprouted from her back. "I think that answered your question" Dark Ashleigh replied. |
"Because there's a lot of nutcases in this group. Namely, Jonouchi and Honda." Selena replied. "Trust me, go into neutral around those two."
"A dark angel," Kaimiri said, impressed. "It's turned the girl into a dark angel." He grinned. "Perfect." |
"I can see that" Ruby replied.
Through the girl. the ruler spoke. "I am impressed. Not only you got the shard back, but you turned an angel of light to a angel of darkness. How long this will last I do not know, but let us use it to our advantage" it said. |
"Anyway," Selena said, changing the subject, "I hope you don't mind sleeping in the same room. Not in the same bed, of course."
"I wasn't the one who originally built his device, though." Kaimiri said. "True, I have made some modifications to the magical side of it, but the technological side was constructed completely by Yusei." |
"Do you have an extra bed?" Ruby asked.
"Well, give him my regards" the ruler continued "but soon we will loose him. What a shame to waste somebody's body." |
Selena nodded. "Yep. And extra linens and blankets." She replied.
"A shame indeed," Kaimiri agreed. "And it is inevitable indeed. Our only hope is that whatever happens to awake Yusei's soul, will kill him." |
"Thank you" Ruby replied.
"I would like you to drain all of his power when Yusei is dead" the ruler commanded. |
"No prob," Selena replied. "I figured something like this would happen, so I made sure to have an extra mattress and bedcoverings in my quarters."
"I have every intention to, Father." Kaimiri replied. And then use it against you. |
Ruby nodded.
"You sure you can get Ashleigh back to normal?" she asked. "Excellent. I want you to put this girl to good use right away" the ruler said, "I want to see how powerful she really is." |
"Positive," Selena replied. At least, I'd better be.
Kaimiri smiled. "Gladly," he replied. |
"I hope so, because now, she's an angel of darkness, against her own will" Ruby said, making Selena freeze.
"What is my first order" Ashleigh asked, almost with no feeling at all. |
"What?" Selena said, feeling an icy cold trickling down her spine.
"Destroy Seto Kaiba," Kaimiri replied. "And take his power. I want it for myself." |
"You want her to do it now?" Dark Ashleigh asked.
"Yeah. One of the few things I feared that might happened. I just felt if a few seconds ago" Ruby replied. |
