"Well, we do one aspects on our training out of the book, excersies which including soul retrieval, GA work, and team missions as well as school work, but that's for the 5 years. The last two years are full of hands on work and this is my first one. If I stuff up, I can kiss the GA work goodbye" Ruby explained.

"It sounds kind of like one of the duties of Soul Reapers." Selena replied. "They're from a manga called Bleach," she explained, seeing the confused expression on Ruby's face.

"Like you, never heard if it" Ruby replied.

Selena shrugged. "Either way, I'm rather glad you're here to help us out." She said. "And Ashleigh, if we can get her back to normal."

"Yeah, if they think I can cope with this whole situation, I can stay to battle D-Day. At this rate, you need all the light you can get" Ruby said.

"I think you're right," Selena said as she pressed the up button for the lift.

"I hope that the angels know what they're doing" Ruby said, "because I'm blaming my superiors if anything does go wrong."

Selena laughed. "Good for you then," she replied. "I've done that to Max a few times; doesn't put her in a good mood. But how she reacts is funny."

Ruby giggled.
"I heard all about that when they are going over the introductions of the Federation, 3 days before my death. Do you know what Max said when she found out about it?" she asked. |
Selena shook her head. "No, I haven't. What'd she say?"

"She said that somebody took her place and got stuck by the demon eye curse in her place. I think she was meaning you" Ruby replied, "If I haven't died, we would be working together."

Selena nodded. "You as a martial artist, me as a duelist." She replied. "Though, technically, it appears we ended up working together anyway." The lift had arrived, and the two women stepped onto it.

"Well, I'm glad that I was given this task to do then" Ruby replied, "I would do anything to work with this federation."

"You mean...you wanted to be in Omega?" Selena asked incredulously.

"Not quite. I was surprised when I was recruited, but when I died, I was really disappointed and wished I could rise back up. But I didn't though. Ever since, I wanted to come down here and help" Ruby replied.

"Ah," Selena replied, pressing the button for her floor. "In other words, it wasn't until after you died you wanted to be a part of this."

"Exactly. If the angels are impressed with me, they said that I will be stationed here for the next 2 years for my practicals" Ruby explained.

"Max'll appreciate that," Selena said.

"My first task was to heal one person and nurse him or her back to health.....and we all know who that is in the moment" Ruby said, giggling, "And he's soooo cute! It was a good thing the Angels chose them for the ultimate task....but that's 2 centuries away, and you be there to see it happen."

"I'd be worried if I wasn't," Selena replied. "I'm immortal, as of today."

"So is Saharia. She's immortal as well" Ruby said.

"I know. I was at her coronation." Selena replied.

"So, have you heard of the Queen of Eternity before?" Ruby asked.

Selena shook her head. "No, I haven't." She replied. "Who is she?"

"She is the one who protects the Shards and never dies. But then the king of Oblivian fought her, he cast a spell on her, causing her to fall into a deep slumber. Legend states that a pair who went though many trials and tribulations and has a heart of light, might one day awaken and resume her rule" Ruby said, "It can be a human pair or an angel pair."
