"You sure she's real though?" Selena asked.

"She is. But no one has found her palace in centries, and over the years, the ruler created a son to do his bidding untill he dies off. Sounds familiar?" Ruby replied.

Selena nodded. "Sounds like Kaimiri and his old man." She replied.
|
"Yes, but Kaimiri was created around when you were born. So soon, he will overthrow his father off the throne" Ruby replied.

"In other words, Kaimiri and I are the same age. Lovely." Selena replied as the lift reached the right floor. The doors slid open. "Right, so now Kaimiri's going to overthrow daddy dearest, meaning he'll probably be an even more powerful, bigger pain in the ass."

"You got that right" Ruby said, then heard somebody singing, possibly a sad tune.
"Who's that singing?" she asked. |
"It sounds like Kasanagi..." Selena replied. She paused at the door and knocked. "Kasanagi? Something wrong?"

The door opened to show Kasanagi. She beconed to come in. She pointed to Yana who was singing a really sad song.
"This doesn't look good" Ruby said. |
Kasanagi shook her head. "No, it doesn't." She replied. "I tried comforting her, but it isn't working." She shifted her eyes to Selena. "Sakura-san, can we talk alone?"
"Of course," Selena replied. "Good," Kasanagi said, nodding. She led Selena to the bathroom and closed the door. "I'm worried about Ryu. So're Fubuki, Fujiwara, Asuka, and really everyone else." Selena's brow furrowed. "Why?" She asked. "He's...he's been acting more distant. At least, more than he usually does." Kasanagi replied. "How do you mean?" Selena asked. "I don't know...he's usually aloof, but not so much that he's a complete loner." Kasanagi replied. "This has gone past aloof. He's depressed, and he won't admit it. Usually he would to Fubuki-san and Fujiwara-san, but he hasn't..." "And they asked you to corner me, and get me to help." Selena finished. Kasanagi nodded. "I'll do what I can. It's about Sho, isn't it." The last was more like a statement than a question. "Yeah," Kasanagi replied. "All of us are taking it hard--hell, I can only imagine what Judai's reaction will be, he and Sho were inseperable--but I think Ryu is taking it the worst. I mean, it's his little brother. And he couldn't do anything." Just like Kaiba, Selena thought. |
Ruby approtched Yana.
"What's wrong sweety?" she asked. "I'm afraid that I'm going to loose mum and this time, for good. I'm really scared" Yana replied. "Selena, I think this fasico has gone enough! You guys already had 2 deaths and soon a possible third! We have to act now" Ruby yelled. |
"Tell me something I don't already know," Selena replied, striding to the door. "I'm going to talk to Max. We need to get that raid done ASAP, no matter what condition everyone's in." With that last statement she left the room, hell-bent on getting to Max's office and convincing her to organize the raid, no later than that night.

The three girls watch Selena go out of the quarters.
"Everything will be fine, don't you worry Yana" Ruby said, "right Kasanagi?" |
Kasanagi nodded. "Yeah," she replied.
Selena jabbed the up button for the lift. Max, you're going to have to speed up the raid whether you like it or not, she thought. And one way or another, I'll make you. |
"And to make it better, I'm going to stay here to get your mum back" Ruby said.
"Really?" Yana asked, and sniffed. "Really." |
Once Selena had made her way to the upper levels that held Max's office, she stormed into the office without even knocking. "I guess this isn't a lunch visit?" Max asked.
"It's not and you know well that's true." Selena replied. "Move up the raid's date. If not, Ashleigh's dead. You want that blood on your hands?" Kasanagi placed a gentle hand on Yana's shoulder. "Hey, she's right you know." She said. |
Yana nodded and wiped her tears away.
"I just don't want the family to split apart, that's all" she said. |
Kasanagi gave the girl a hug. "If anyone is going to make sure that WON'T happen, it's me." She said. "I know what it's like to have a rift in the family."

"Thanks guys" was all Yana could say.

"No problem," Kasanagi replied.

"And tell me a good reason why I should move the raid day up. Incase if you haven't listened, the part of the plan is to have Ashleigh killed to make it work" Max said, stunning Selena.

"You...." Selena growled. She leaned over Max's desk and grabbed a hold of the other woman's collar. "And what the hell was going through your mind when you came up with this cockamimi plan?! You've gone even more psycho than you were before!"

"Again, this isn't my plain! What's wrong with you Selena? I only asked for one reason and you go all Psycho" Max replie4d, confused at this outburst.

"It's because I don't want another friend dead." Selena said softly, her tone deadly. "That's my reason. I don't know about you, but Kaimiri should've have been able to kill--no, murder--Mokuba and Sho like he did! Unlike you and whoever told you this half-assed plan I don't want to have to go to the funeral of another friend! Not for a very long time!"

"Selena, that is enough" said a voice. Selena turned around and saw a spirit of a woman with long blue hair. She wore a golden outfit and her eyes was fully in blue.
"Let go of her. NOW! And that's an order" she said. |
"Are you the one who came up with this plan?" Selena asked, pissed. She still had one hand on Max's collar. "If you are, then were Mokuba's and Sho's deaths part of it!?"
