Selena smiled. "One of them," she replied. "I'll get her out of this funk, I promise."

"Thanks Selena" Aka said, "and I hope you can talk her out of it."

So do I, Selena thought. "Here goes nothing," she said as she entered the quarters.

"Go away!" Ashleigh yelled from the bedroom, "I'm leaving tomorrow and that's that."

"Ashleigh, it's Selena." Selena said. "Please, can't we just talk? Heck knows I've got no qualms about insulting the guys."
"I heard that!" Jonouchi yelped. Selena gave him the finger. |
"No! Now piss off or I make you" Ashleigh snapped.

"Ashleigh, I don't want to get in a fight, but you know as well as anyone that if it comes to that I won't hold back." Selena replied. "You know, I've been in the same boat as you. I did try to kill myself."

"I told you to piss off already. Just leave me alone" Ashleigh yelled and threw a blast at Selena, not only pushing her out of the room, but knocking everyone else over.

"Ashleigh, you're not being yourself!" Selena said. "I know you! You don't go telling people to piss off, most definitely not your friends!" She strode up to the girl, ignoring the danger to herself. She knew that she might have to use her right eye...though she was hoping she wouldn't have to. "Don't make me fight you, please."

"Do I have to repeat myself a third time?" Ashleigh snapped.

Selena sighed. "No," She said. She placed her hand on Ashleigh's forehead. "I wish I didn't have to do this." And with that she took off her eyepatch and forced herself into Ashleigh's mind.
It's a battle of wills now. |
Automaticly, Selena was pushed out of Ashleigh mind. The barriors was too much to handle.
"No-one will enter my mind" Ashleigh growled. Then there was a giggle. "Trying to fake her death are we?" said a voice, "Good try." |
Selena scowled. "Dark Ashleigh," she said. "So you're the bitch screwing with Ashleigh's mind."

"Not really. She put it on herself really. But I did overhear the plan to fake her death though. A part of my new powers is to able to probe someone's mind without anyone knowing and aparently, it was me who pushed you out of the girl's mind. No-one will touch this girl" Dark Ashleigh laughed, "and her days are numbered also. No matter what, she will loose her life, suicide or not."

"The future isn't set in stone." Selena said. "I'm a testament to that. I don't think I need to tell you about the Demon Eye."

"Oh shut up about that. You know as well as I do that when Kaimiri is recovered, she will be gone" Dark Ashleigh said. When they were distracted, Ashleigh teleported all of the boxes, the kimono and herself out of the federation and back to her home where it was piece and quiet.
Finally! I'm away from that horrible place. Now I can calm down and finally relax she thought and collapsed on the bed. |
Selena sighed. "There goes that plan," she said. "That bitch is in her head. And she's fucking with it, bigtime."

"How many times did that angel tell you not to mess with free will?" Dark Ashleigh said, "And I have nothing to do with it. Condider it lucky that we don't know where she lives" and with that, she disappeared.
Ashleigh threw the dogtags in the bin. I don't need them. I don't need anyone to protect me. I'm not a baby she thought. "You hear me guys. I'm not a bloody baby! Just leave me alone and let me live my life!!!" she yelled before breaking down and crying herself to sleep. |
But how long until they find out? Yugi thought.
"Looks like all that's been going on has been putting a lot of strain on the girl," Melhana said. Yugi nodded. |
"And I pressume there a procedure for teenagers when they hit 16?" Aka asked, "If so, that's probaly why she want Yana to go her."

Yugi nodded. "I don't know all of the fairy traditions, though." He said. He was still visibly worried about Ashleigh.

"Not in the fairy world, I meaning here at the federation" Aka said, sighing.

Yugi nodded. "Once Yana's 16...since she's at a high enough skill level, Max might recruit her." He shook his head. "I don't want that any more than Ashleigh does. I don't want Yana in danger."

"Exactly my point. She doesn't want Yana to go through the same thing. Why not take her with you tomorrow to drop her off and put up some barriors around the house" Aka said.
"What about you?" Atem asked. "I stay here and help you guys" Aka replied. |
