"Maybe the spell might break it somehow" Ruby suggested.
"I'm willing" Aki said, "I'm willing to try everything to get Yusei back." |
At the same time Aoi had her eyes closed. She slowly opened them. "He'll come back on his own, I can sense it." She said, tapping her Star's Tauk. "Trust me on this."
Yugi nodded. "Maybe," he said. "But we need to be prepared for anything." |
"Then do it" Ashleigh said.
"You will feel yourself being pulled out of your own body. For how long I don't know" Ruby said, "It's normal for it to happen when the spell being cast. But keep in mind that 20% surivied the spell." |
That's why I wish I didn't have to do this. Yugi thought. He nodded. "Ready?" He asked.

Ashleigh nodded.
"No matter what, I'm always with you" she said, and closed her eyes, hopefully not for the last time. |
Yugi nodded and placed his hands over her heart. I hope this works. He thought. He began speaking the words for complex, and dangerous, spell.

As the spell was cast, Ashleigh fell more and more into the darkness, scared about what could happen.
So this is what it feels like to die she thought as her eyes was coloured with brown. On the outside of course, her heart was slowly stopping, but to Ruby's amazement, the stone from her chocker broke off and just hovered just about her body, not knowing what will happen. |
Yugi's aura ignited, getting brighter and brighter the longer the spell went. The scent of pine inundated the air. He didn't see the stone break off, and didn't dare open his eyes for fear of losing concentration.

She levetated in mid air. What was happening to her she didn't know. Who was she? What was her puropse? Who was her friends, family, co-workers? What was her power?
She kept floating in the darkness. She was nothing of importance. It was quiet, it kept her calm. Then a flash of light happnened. So this is the afterlife she thought. It was calm, peaceful and she wasn't in pain. Ashleigh's heart came to a stop. No beat, no breath, no pulse, nothing but the stone floating up in the air. The spell was cast successfully. "Yugi, the spell has been cast. You can stop now" Ruby said. |
As the last words left Yugi's lips he opened his eyes. His wife was laying on the bed, her eyes closed, skin pale and cold, and her chest unmoving. "And now...we wait." He said, casting a preservation spell around her. His eyebrows knitted together. "Isn't that the stone from the choker? Why's it floating like that?"

"Yes and I have no idea" Ruby said, "and that's the exact same spell I used on Yusei's body. Is it custom here in Japan to place a white cloth over someone's face to show that he or she died?"
But the white light stayed, it didn't show the true afterlife where he was. 'Who's there' she asked. |
Yugi nodded. "According to Selena it's a custom in America too," he replied. He looked to Ashleigh's body. Come back safe.
"What do you mean, you know he'll come back?" Crow asked. Aoi shrugged, sort of. "I saw....a vision, I guess. It came from the Tauk." She replied. "All I could see was Yusei, and a dragon behind him. I didn't hear anything, so..." |
"Then, just in case" Ruby took out a clean white cloth (she was allowed to take one) and place it on Ashleigh's face.
"I hope she does come back" she said and the pair looked at the stone, not realizing that the Millennium Tauk appeared in Yugi's hand, glowing like anything. "What else did it show you? What kind of dragon is it?" Aki asked. |
"It was sort of a silver-white, with gossamer-ish wings." Aoi replied.
"Stardust Dragon," Jack said. "Wait; what're you trying to say? Was there anything else?" Aoi shook her head. "Just Yusei and Stardust Dragon." A sudden warmth was in Yugi's hand. He looked down to see the Millennium Tauk. "Why...?" |
"Well, see what it shows" Ruby said, "I want to know if Ashleigh's going to be ok."
Aki's eyes lit up. "So he is going to be ok" she exclamed. |
Yugi nodded and closed his eyes. An image of a girl with bright red wings came to him, and when she turned he saw....
His eyes snapped open. "I saw Ashleigh...as an angel..." He said. "That's what I gathered." Aoi replied. |
"Does it show that she's going to make it?" Ruby asked.
"I can't wait for the day that he returns" Aki said and did something that everyone hasn't done for a long time. She smiled, |
"You and me both," Crow said, smiling as well.
"I think that vote may be unianimous," Jack said with a small smile of his own. "Looks like Team 5Ds is going to be together again soon." "Don't you mean the Enforcers?" Kiryu laughed. This time it was Jack's turn to punch Kiryu in the arm. "Hey..." "I don't know..." Yugi said. "But it looked like she was ok." "Ashleigh..." a woman's voice said in the gloom. |
Aki laughed.
"Cut it out guys" she said. "What kind of wings did she have?" Ruby said. "Who's there? And who's Ashleigh? she asked. |
"Angel wings. Bright red ones." Yugi replied. He closed his eyes again. "No...wait...one of them was red, the other one was white."
"Yeah, please." Crow added. "The last thing we need is tearing you two off of each other. Again." "What do you mean by again?" Ruka asked. "Weell...." Crow said, scratching the back of his neck and looking away. "Jack's got a bad temper and apparently I've got a talent for setting it off." Kiryu answered. "You..." Jack fumed. "Here we go..." Crow groaned. "You are Ashleigh." The spirit replied. "I am your ka, the Soul of Purity and Light." |
"One red, one white. Hm....if that is shown, that means that she's destiant to be an Arch Angel which wings are ethier like that for advance training, or both red for a full Arch Angel" Ruby said.
"If Yusei was here, he would've banged your head together" Aki said. "Soul of Purity of Light" she repeated. |
"That's something I might do if they start going at it...." Crow said. By now, Jack and Kiryu were having a staring--or glaring--contest.
"So you're saying...that Ashleigh's an angel?" Yugi asked. "Yes," the Soul replied. "I am your ka; the true form of your soul." |
"Uh oh, something's telling me that it's not going to end well" Aki sighed.
"Yes, but not just an angel, an Arch Angel at least" Ruby replied. "And I'm Ashleigh" she replied. |
"No it isn't..." Crow sighed.
"An...Arch Angel?" Yugi asked in disbelief. "Yes." The soul said simply. |
"Can somebody please stop them?" Aki asked before everyone's dogtags went cold.
"Now you know why Ashleigh is chosen to bring Kaimiri down?" Ruby asked. "And, I'm.....I'm a fairy" she said, trying to remember who she was. |
