"Ah, there you are." Kaimiri said, coming onto the roof. "I've been wondering where you got to, Love."
Dark Ashleigh stood up and jumped off the roof, landing perfectly on the ground.
"I don't want to talk to you" she said. |
"Why not?" Kaimiri asked. "Are you mad about something?"
"What do you think?" Dark Ashleigh snarled.
Kaimiri put his hands up in a gesture of surrender. "Whatever you're mad about, don't take it out on me." He said.
"It's you, you idiot!" Dark Ashleigh yelled.
The last statement made Kaimiri pause. "How?" He asked. "How've I pissed you off?"
"I just came to realise that all you care about is power, nothing else" Dark Ashleigh, "I can't be with a guy who only cares for himself than others."
"But I do care for you." Kaimiri said, coming up to Dark Ashleigh and pulling her into an embrace.
"No!" And Dark Ashleigh pushed Kaimiri out of the way.
"Prove it then, and no piece of jewelry or a kiss" she said. |
"Fine then," Kaimiri said. He took her wrist and placed her hand on his heart. "Enter my soul."
"What?" Dark Ashleigh said, "I don't feel a heart at all."
"I said enter my soul, not my heart." Kaimiri replied. "Even gods have souls, last I knew."
"And why should I do that?" Dark Ashleigh demanded.
"You asked me to prove to you that I care for you; this is the best way." Kaimiri replied.
"Ok, fine" Dark Ashleigh snapped. She wasn't in the best of moods.
"I know you're mad, Dark Ashleigh," Kaimiri said gently. "But once you enter my soul and see my intentions, I'm sure your anger will die down."
"We just see about that" Dark Ashleigh said, giving him the evils.
"Come now, love, you know those won't work on me." Kaimiri said.
"You know it's only a stare" Dark Ashleigh growled and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and travelled into Kaimiri's soul room.
The room she was met with looked like the throne room of a palace. A violet sun shone through one of the tall, vaulted windows, which were revealed by deep purple velvet curtains pulled to the sides of each window. The sky outside was only a shade lighter than the curtains. The floor and walls were made of black marble, veined with pure white. A carpet the same color as the curtains ran down the center of the room. At the head, there was a platform that led up to a throne carved out of a solid piece of mahogany wood. It's back and seat were padded with deep violet cushions, and the arms were lined with royal blue sapphires, leading up either side of the back and up to two toppers made of the same gem. Each sapphire was also rimmed with shining silver, and the legs of the throne were plated silver as well. On the wall behind the throne, there was a huge, intricate carving in the marble. It was painted with different colored enamels, and it was depticing the prophecy of Kaimiri's brand of gods.
"Welcome," Kaimiri said. He was facing the carving on the wall. "Here, I cannot lie." |
"Well, it does look nice but I don't see any proof" Dark Ashleigh said, not looking at Kaimiri.
"Take a close look at this carving." Kaimiri said. "You see that battle depiction, with the mage?"
Dark Ashleigh walked towards the carving.
"Yeah, what about it?" she asked. |
"It is the curse that was placed on the original god." Kaimiri replied. "You see, that mage there, forced a curse upon the god I am...descended from. He cursed him that he would have to be reborn every thousand years after dying a painful death. In addition, he cold only feel the one emotion he most despised; love."
